Please consider synthetic fuels. They have a 1:1 ratio of exhausting gas and reusing it and are cleaner since they do not require lithium and other chemical mining which cause a huge impact on the environment and those recourses can be depleted by 2050.
Oddly, many people thought life couldn't possibly be the same without horses 120 years ago....... Oil will run dry one day. This *had* to happen..... The "joys" of driving anything with an ICE engine will eventually be severely diluted by increasing numbers of emissions charging schemes in towns and cities everywhere. Glasgow is the latest, with it's scheme charging *all* ICE vehicles, even newer cleaner ones...... Schemes such as this may add as much as £30 to £40 per week to your normal motoring costs, and will seriously harm the used values of ICE vehicles.
I disagree, they've been the most advanced in quality interiors in the top 3 American brands. They're not gonna be able to meet the standards of something like BMW or Audi without a major price increase.

I would assume any specialty vehicles will arrive after they feel solid in the EV buyer field. Those vehicles you mentioned would have to be sold for profit rather than at cost or below as the current lines are. This is still the "investment in the future" buyer pattern establishing phase of Ford EVs. Once scaling occurs and manufacturing practices are meeting demands, then expansion into larger vehicles with low volume can really get cracking. I expect 4 -6 yrs.
I'd like a new proper SUV like the old Ford Edge. I like bigger cars as I'm 6'4 and a big fella, dropping into my mondeo ain't good for my knees these days lol. Plus I have 2 kids also tall for their age. I would love a big car. Or I. Ight have to go for a transit van, and the new ones are amazing looking.
The all-electric vehicles have one big advantage for the government, they will have very sophisticated computers, and those computers will all be tied to the world wide web, both for upgrading and monitoring of your driving. Those constantly-linked computers will allow the government to shut down any or all of the electric vehicles any time they want to. If "Big Brother" doesn't want you to drive, you ain't goin' nowhere. And if you're speeding, your car will automatically report you to the government, and you'll get the ticket automatically via your smartphone. Your car will also know who's driving it, and anyone who doesn't think that sort of stuff is coming hasn't watched many movies or read many books. welcome to 1984, folks

What about mobility cars? My wife has a focus and loves it. But if you remove the focus line up she's knackered as she's wheelchair bound and can't get up into anything higher than a fiesta/focus. Puma is way too high. And that goes for all wheelchair users. And don't use the idea that going all electric is good for the environment, where does the lithium come from and how is it mined?? What happens when it runs out once we've extracted it all, (don't for get cars aren't the only thing that requires lithium batteries). Rubber for the tyres etc. Transportation of your vehicles across the continent. What happens to the car when the batteries are no longer working to power the vehicles. I applaud your ideas but electrification isn't the solution for the future of the environment in my opinion.

Umm.. Europe does not have the Mondeo over here, they took if off sale in the UK after 29 years! Plus, Ford does focus on Europe as well as the US. You watched a European presentation - what can you expect? It's not like we don't have some things you do - the all-electric F-150 lightning for example, we cant have that. Nor can we get one of my personal favourites, the Edge. That was taken from us in 2020... you don't have it as bad as you think!

Volkswagen seem to think so. They've invested 800 billion (that's BILLION) Euros in electric vehicle development and manufacture. Other car makes have carried out heavy investment too.... Forget hydrogen. Too costly, too inefficient, no infrastructure. Kia have sold out their *total* allocation of their fully electric EV6 model for *three years* in many countries, so it's definately going to be the future for 3 years at least.... Elon Musk seems to think the future is electric too. The future certainly isn't oil, because one day that will run dry.
Call me old school but I don't like the concept of eoectric cars at all. Waiting charge times, the need for a garage to charge overnight, the overly complex technology, more expensive repairs, harder to repair by yourself, less relliable since the battery dies as soon as 10 years after buying the car and it costs more to replace than the car would be worth by that time, no enthusiast communuties, no mod community pusing the model or brand, no aftermarket parts, no off grid potential since it's always connected to satelite, very expensive even with tax cuts, still consume a lot of natural gas and coal by increasing the electrical grid load.
Just think of the children who were never taught to fight with swords, or go up chimneys to clean them. The "excitement" you describe is simply learned behaviour. It was unheard of before the ICE engine came along, and it'll fade away just as readily.. Human beings don't tend to care about things they know nothing of.... Before you learned to drive, this "excitement" you speak of meant nothing to you either......

If you do go with Tesla, just prepare for the awful customer service, poorly built cars, and repetitive and boring model line-up. Ford has to take on the electric future, and will do so with success if the Mach-E is anything to go by.

They did rebuild a KA in 2017. It did not sell. If they try again - it still probably wouldn't.
