    Thank you so much for your dedicated post. I not only enjoyed your content but it was extremely informative. Additionally it was affirming my feelings and excitement to come to Bali solo for my 30th.
    I have a question and I'd really appreciate and value your feedback. Your opinion or suggestion could be invaluable.
    The most "touristy" item on my itinerary is to do the Sunrise Mount Batur Hike!
    It's the driving force of my decision to come. I want to be on top of a mountain watching a breathtaking sunrise while I enter this next chapter of my life. It is the highlight
    It's the ONE thing I need to book in advance.
    Unfortunately, i cant control the calendar, and my birthday falls on a Saturday in August. I expect this excursion going to be crowded.
    But i want to book a guide/tour that can help me still have a semi private experience. I must have a private tour, I don't want a group (of strangers) alongside. I have every other day of my trip to be social and friendly, this day i want to myslef. I know I'll see other people. But i just want it to be me and my guide.
    And a visit to a hot springs after sounds nice to
    Anyways, I am wondering if you have any tips opinions or even recommendations for a Sunrise Hike. Tips for me as a first time Mount Batur hiker. Navigating that particular crowd.
    Thank you for your time. 🙏🏾

      Note: I will be in Selat traveling to Mount Batur. Currently my Airbnb Activities include a tour booking. But I've been wondering should I book outside my accommodations. Additionally, can guides easily get to me in Selat. Maybe a silly question, I don't know, but no harm in asking. I know Selat is a smaller village not a large city. I'm unsure how'd that effect booking such an excursion

    • @thenordicadam
      @thenordicadam  9 месяцев назад +1

      Sounds like a wonderful plan! (and happy 30th!)
      I don't have any specific guides to recommend you unfortunately. But if your accommodation host seems great, booking through them could be fine. Of course, googling around can also find you plenty. I would recommend talking to the guide on WhatsApp before booking - so you can be clear on the plans and that you want to go solo, agree on price etc.
      Selat is a lovely place, and close enough that it should be fine. And in any case, the guide/tour will help you with transportation. So that should be no issue.

    Hej Adam. Fed video. Tusind tak. Vi skal til Bali i juli og har planlagt nusa lembongan, ubud, gili Air og sanur. Vi har 4 dage og valget står mellem munduk eller sideman. Gad vide om du har en anbefaling om hvad vi skal vælge. Tak for dit flotte arbejde.

      Er glad for du kunne bruge videoen :) Lyder som en rigtig god tur! Hmm, begge dele kunne være skønt. Men hvis man skal vælge, vil jeg nok tage Sideman, og så lave en god dagstur til Munduk hvor man så kan se alle de smukke ting der.
      Munduk er lidt oppe i bjergene og det bliver derfor en del køligere (og regner mere) end resten af Bali - derfor foretrækker jeg at besøge på dagsture, hehe.

    Hi Adam! Really good video! I’m travelling to Bali for 1 year with my 14 years old son and my husband, starting on September. How many time do you recommend us to stay in each place, and a 1 year itinerary you think is the best. It could be help us a lot🙏🏼

    • @thenordicadam
      @thenordicadam  9 месяцев назад

      That sounds amazing, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time!
      - That is really hard to answer though, as it will depend a lot on what you want to see, do, are you working, do you want beach, jungle etc etc..
      However, what I will recommend, is to perhaps rent a place for a couple of weeks initially, probably somewhere like Canggu, Seminyak or Sanur just to get settled and then from there visit different places and see what you like.
      We liked to stay 1-2 months in each place, just to try some different places - but if you find a great place to stay where it's easy to do trips from, why not stay even longer.
      If you need some inspiration where to start looking, here are some areas I like that also has some great places to stay, restaurants etc:
      Uluwatu, Pererenan/canggu, Seseh, Sanur, Ubud (staying just a bit outside the center is better to avoid crazy traffic), Sidemen, Amed, Lovina.
      You could also spend some time on the islands like Nusa Penida or even the Gili Islands. Always try to see the places in person before you rent for longer periods of time - especially if you rely on good wifi - so you can test it and see what the area is like etc.

    For tourist chasing by monkey can be very creepy, but as Indonesian i see it as something funny.
    I mean, they same like stray cats, stray dogs, simple brain, want food.
    Try not to bring anything at all, cause they think you bring something for them and star to gathering on you.
    By the way, less crowd they become more brave bruh. Because monkey is group animal, they usually stolen something from farmer together.
