I’d love to find out if the house in LA she claims to live in is actually an Airbnb. I’m going to do some sleuthing and find out and I’ll let you know. That house in LA that she showed is worth at least $8 million.
Anyway I’m sorry she stole your work. As an artist I’ve had my work used by other creators, stolen, and used as references without my permission. This will, sadly, be more and more common with AI. Hopefully we can get some regulatory support from various governments to stop it.

I was recommened your video on my RUclips home page. Thanks for making a video covering this topic. I am having a siumilar challenge right now, with people using incredibly similar titles as I do on RUclips videos. I use the word "TYPICAL" a lot, and its become my thing on videos. And now I see video after video with titles the same or very similar to mine, pigging backing off the topics I've covered. Although, it's not to the extent of the RUclipsrs your covering, its still something I struggle understanding, litertally one year ago, not a single content creator used this word on videos going back 5 or 10 years.

The travelogue business has always been dodgy. I'm old enough to remember the days of the Lonely Planet guides, whose authors claimed to update every year but actually got caught leaving out of date info unchanged for over a decade. Here in Japan, far better guides were available in Japanese, much better produced and updated constantly. They totally smoked the Lonely Planet guides.

It is honestly way easier to STUDY a location and other blogs first, then make your own material and CREDIT people you took inspiration from. Everyone benefits. But no. People are greedy, inept, brazen and all-around sad. The most creative people I met all took inspiration from various other artists, different fields of study and created their own art by fusing the elements, building up the shared cache of art and knowledge. This is why we cannot have nice things :( Plagiarism is the lowest form of art, and always will be.

The problem here is not her im afraid. I mean, you always are going to have people like that in every field. They just dont care, they see an easy opportunity to make some money and go for it. Now we can have long discussions about how terrible some people are, but that is completely pointless. Im pretty sure that she herself just things she is being very smart. The problem here is obviously RUclips itself, and like any large social media platform: They just dont care about any of this because it makes them money. In fact, I wouldnt even be surprized if they like what she is doing because she brings quality content from other sources to their platform, increasing their views and therefore their advertising potential. So there is just no way that they will ever, unless forced by laws, do something about this.
Social media isnt some sort of government protected open platform where the normal rules we follow in society hold value. The same was true with all the crypto nonsense... The internet is just the Wild West still because of its international nature, so laws are incredibly difficult to enforce. And which laws? And who should enforce them? And I think all these tech giants really would gladly keep this as vague as possible for as long as possible. Dont know how much they exactly spend on lobby groups in Washington DC for example, but its probably a lot. So the only thing you can do is really on an individual basis make copyright claims yourself or take legal action in extreme cases. I mean, as soon as there are actual consequenses to it, im sure RUclips suddenly completely agrees with the fact that plagiarism is very, very bad.
