My partner didn’t come home at the usual time one night... I instantly worried. After a couple hours I reached out to friends/coworkers and found out he never made it in to work.
Had now been 4 hours from the time he should have been home 13 since he should have arrived at work. I started calling hospitals and police stations, but no one was admitted under that name. Everyone tried convincing me he was either with friends or suggesting an affair. I knew my partner well, but no one believed he could have been out there hurt except me.
After 17 hours, a dispatcher called me back stating that he was initially admitted as a John Doe. Come to find that his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle on his way to work. When I got to the hospital he was connected to machines and had so many tubes everywhere; still unconscious, but alive.
I cannot tell you the heartache, stress and trauma that incident caused me. Some of these pranks are just cruel and pure psychological abuse. Watching her cry didn’t make the prank better, but it stirred a lot of very sad emotions in me. Not a cool prank. 😢
