I made these crochet baby shorts or diaper cover to match the crochet baby girl set that includes the crochet baby dress, crochet cardigan and crochet baby blanket and booties that I showed you already in my channel. Here are the links for these tutorials.

To make these crochet baby shorts or diaper cover I used about 86g of DK weight yarn ( James C Brett baby DK) with a 3.5mm hook. You can also crochet these pants smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and yarn weight. See below. Just remember these sizes are not exact since not all babies are the same size and since tension can vary from one person to another.
To make smaller or bigger:
NB use 2mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
0-3M use 2.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
3-6M use 3mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
6-9M use 3.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
9-12M use 4mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
12-24M use 4.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
*** If prompted to change hook size just go up or down 1/2 hook size from which ever hook size you started with above or used last.

I am so in love with this set , especially because we are using Jake's c brett, but u r just so talented ! I finished the dress , booties , and the blanket , cant wsit to make these. I thought the dress was the prettiest thing out there but these come in as a tie. I'll post soon as I'm finished . Gonna make this set for violet on a bigger size using reds and whites for a Xmas set , that will be cute. As always stay amazing !

Me and u both! I am just finishing the set up and then I'm going to make a bigger size for violet in pinks and also in red and white . It's my favorite set also. Everytime u make something I think its my fave and then u make something else. U really have outdone yourself on this one. I'm so thankful.
Thank you very much for the wonderful designs and very clear explanations I have few questions about maintenance of the clothes that you are creating. Do you wash them before adding the decorations: ribbons, flowers, etc? Do you remove these decorations before the laundry time? What detergent can you suggest? Thank you!
You’re very welcome 😉 to answer your questions, I wash once it’s all done including the ribbon, flowers etc. I use clear an free All detergent but only because that’s what we use. I also add a little fabric softener depending on the yarn I’ve used. To wash I put the garment inside a mesh bag and wash it in a delicate or hand wash cycle. To dry I lay flat and air dry all my hand made garments. I use my hand steamer if it’s a little wrinkled but only when I’ve used acrylic yarn which is almost always. I hope this helps.
