Complete ARB Air Locker & Gear Install | Toyota Land Cruiser 8" Differential (Ultimate Guide)

- Today I install an RD132 ARB Air Locker and Nitro 4.88 gears into a Toyota 8" differential out of my Land Cruiser 80 Series. We go over EVERYTHING! Ring gear install, pinion depth, checking the gear pattern, setting preload with solid pinion spacer, backlash, carrier bearing preload, installing the @ARB4x4USA ARB locker, and bench testing it for leaks!

Thanks for the video. Did you have a Semi Floating axle on the 80? I’m looking at which locker to install in the rear of my 1993 80 series, it’s the 1fz-f with a carb. It has rear semi floating axles and not sure which locker fits it? Would appreciate some pointers
Hey, in the US at least, all 80 series 93-97 are full float front axles. I don't think the semi vs full float would affect the locker, it would be made to fit the carrier not the axle housing.
On the sites I’ve been checking they are specifically state the rear lockers they sell are for the Full floating rear axle, hence my question. Forums on ih8mud also not really clear or I haven’t found the right thread. I have not seen a locker on sale as yet saying it fits the semi floater 😢
@@JusticeMatarutse Hm. If something says it fits 91-97 then it would fit yours. 91-92 are the semi floats, 93-97 are the full floats. So I would personally just check the year range and see if it says 91-97, or you could call/message the companies.
