I'm said it before and I'll say it again, Euphemia massacre is the ultimate filter test in anime. It either makes perfect sense to you or you keep fumbling about it for years.
made in abyss definitely has a few made in abyss moments of all time, but its still my favourite anime of all time, the anime is what sold it for me because the manga already had a good basis, but then kevin penkin came and breathed absolute pure life essence into the music
@@lorenzodidac465 dunno if you’re trolling but they were not right on the euphemia part. What they explained was mostly surface level. For instance the “plot” was not over with euphy’s plan. Sure the terrorist part would be somewhat resolved but not the overarching plot, which is the royal family drama. And then the “accident” part, he didn’t just blurt it out like that. In his utter defeat against euphy he was going clean with her by revealing his geass power and put that as an example not knowing that his other eye activated his geass. I think from this point on he wore contact lenses.
Totally misunderstanding the Special Zone. That was not world peace or any kind of good solution, just a step towards even for deeply institutionalized and entrenched racism.
I will always defend the Lelouch - Euphemia scene and to the day I die proclaim that the only problem is that Lelouch has his back turned when he makes the order, they should have been looking eachother in the eye so that atleast the mechanics of the Geass make sense. Because other than that it has so much going for it; it's the only time Lelouch fully surrenders, sure he gives up some other times, but never surrender. No amount of brute force could ever make him do that, but a truly good person asking him for truly good reasons is the one thing he can't deny, so he lets go. He lets go of the pride, the ambition, the calculation: all of it. It's the only time he's in that state: with Nunnally he puts on the mask of an older brother to protect her, with Suzaku his pride would never let him since they're rivalry is nearly as strong as their friendship and with C.C. every conversation is intentionally made a contest because that's how they flirt. Only Euphemia could make him truly let his guard down. And it's in that state, when he's as far removed from his cold, pragmatic revolutionaire-mastermind self that he ever gets, that he ends up making the cruelest order of his entire life; forcing one of the kindest souls on the planet to commit gratuitous genocide. If you don't enjoy the pure tragic irony of that I don't know what to tell you.
@@Spacecowboy1997 Yeah, like game of thrones was 10/10 series until final season. Made in Abyss has no plot brother, that probably will end bad as female ripoff of HxH Gon dream of finding his father with plus of gore. Everyone can have good ideas, very few end these ideas in a good show you can't even compare a good show with a good ending to a good show without any major develop yet. The hosts just like to give edgy answers like any CC.
The 2nd season of Code Geass is what made me fall absolutely IN LOVE with the series and propelled it to my number 1 spot of favorite anime of all time! I really don't feel the same about the so called "problems" these guys like to talk about... You guys must SERIOUSLY be misremembering things...
Season 2 is not bad as they make it out to be (aka what they misremembered it to be) and neither is Rolo as a character. My defense for season 2 is that its first half is messy considering the whole Xingke and Chinese federation plots being on the weaker side of the narrative but everything on the second half is peak Code Geass all the through up to the critically acclaimed ending. We have Schneizel. We have Shirley's death (which was legitimately upsetting if you like Lelouch as a character and what he was going through). We have the Black Knights' hubris and betrayel. We have Lelouch's renewed purpose. We have Lelouch's confrontation with Charles. We have the height of Suzaku's newly changed resolve. More back-and-forth between Lelouch and Suzaku. Them working together. Lelouch as emperor. Zero requiem and the best ending. Etc I would go as far as to say, if you didn't like season 2 then you never truly liked season 1.
I was surprised s2 are known as a bad season. Sure it may not be excited like s1 but still a pretty solid plot going on. Also I actually cried so much for Rolo when he sacrificed himself😭
@@maynetiong4030 rolo is a fantastic character. He was born to murder and didn't know anything else. His sacrifice for lelouch was him finally learning to care for someone and have a purpose other than killing.
Me rewatching Code Geass, some of Lelouch's plot conveniences pretending to be in school which is Sayoko in disguise when he's away from school while on Zero disguise kinda irks me on my rewatch....... I had no opinion on Made in Abyss for i haven't seen it because it's still not finished but i'll catch up on it later......
@@icecp6532 For me it seems like it will be finished before One Piece ends. 🤣 And the next chapter should be released soon, since we got one volume each year and there are at least 2 chapters still missing for this years volume or one really long chapter. And the next volume should be release August 30, 2024, from the informations I've got.
I just watched Code Geass for the first time recently and I'm loving it so much, one of my favorites of all time. Made in Abyss absolutely takes my heart though without a doubt.
For me Made in Abyss for sure. It's probably around my personal top 5 (on a good day it sometimes even reaches top one for me). Its themes just hit the spot. Especially when it comes to themes of perseverance towards a vague goal that you're chasing after, you might not exactly know why you're chasing, but there's something instinctual about longing for a goal you might never attain but you are willing to sweat blood just to reach.
Trouble is 99.9% of any audience can't tell the difference between good writing and bad writing. It's just mostly the subjective preferences of children who know jack shit about good storytelling. Don't get me wrong, Geass is good, really good, but MIA is orders of magnitude better as a written work and as a production. It stomps almost everything on that list, as much as I love most of the series on there. Vinland Saga is the only one that can truly compete, but MIA still takes it.
people either forgot what happened in CG or they're lying just because they don't like it , and i don't mind not liking the show cause it's subjective after all. 1- Lelouch didn't activate second geass until the end of season 2, he could not control the one and only geass he had at the time after using it multiple times. 2- he tried to use geass on Yuffie but it didn't activate, then conceded to her, and confessed that he has geass, then joked about telling her to kill the Japanese (while looking at her) when the geass reactivated unfortunately. 3- fighting tyranny is not terrorism, the american, scottish revolution was terrorism in the eyes of the english, but it was seeking freedom to the americans and scottish.
@@icecp6532 you sound like the people who try to put down breaking bad by mentioning the fly episode. Still it's one of the best show & anime of all time.
Code Geass has a few plot holes in both seasons that get to me but besides that the whole show is nothing short of a masterwork. Lelouch's charisma is God tier. I watched it recently again and it doesn't just hold up it's really that good. Made in Abyss is a lot more recent so its easy for them to remember it more. Code Geass all day for me and no, while sad the Euphemia part was not bad writing.
Code geass fans are easily the most defensive community in anime and it's not even close. Saying you don't like mechas, the weird art style, the story or the characters is an unpardonable sin and anyone who says something negative about the show just doesn't understand the masterpiece it is.
@KidMoe7735 nah it gets worse from then on, the finale is good but it's like 5 minutes. Genuinely not worth it and the writing is just bad like any other okouchi work
The boys are kinda disrespectful here, best case. Garnt only ever brings up Euphy, but his argument is based on wrong info. He acts like that is all he needs to say and promptly confirms his vote. Why even have the discussion? Nothing was solved like he said. LL isn't in it to liberate the Japanese, which Euphy's internment zone or whatever might be a step toward, but which in the end wouldn't really change the outcome for the Japanese, he is in it for revenge and to provide for Nunnally. This theme of using others where they are convenient is all over the show, chess mastermind sociopath warlord etc. LL has competing motivations, of course, but the thing that got him to episode 17 or whatever was not liberating the Japanese. The desire to get along with his family, some of which he has killed and felt some sort of guilt for, is one. Helping the people who served him is another, but again there is no indication that Euphy's plan would actually change anything long term. Still, some of the Black Knights are excited by it, and he would prefer to please them than to disappoint them. So, he plays with these until he makes a huge mistake which "isolates" him further, and he decides to go all in seeing no other option in the moment. What LL said makes perfect sense, but I don't feel like typing it again. It doesn't help that no one is talking about what the writers actually wrote, the Japanese, and just assuming the worst based on whatever fansub, or, god forbid, dub, they watched.
"there is no indication that Euphy's plan would actually change anything long term." Yeah, and it would make it a more interesting show instead of cheap plot twist that brings back the status quo.
Nina and Rolo make Code Geass a notch worse than Made in Abyss, which I'd argue doesn't have any characters that detract from the plot as much as some Code Geass characters do.
The only thing im giving code geass over made in abyss is the ending but like 60% of all episodes are just fluff and the decision made by the side charcters are so dumb half the time
@@DragonOfDestiny1 unnecessary Fan service, "what if I told you to kill the Japanese" was kinda hit or miss. Ending was too idealistic for such a claiming to be slick show.
yeah i just cant imagine made in abyss over code geass, i can rewatch code geass and finish the series happy, made in abyss amazing as it may, i cannot rewatch it because it gives trauma and depression
It's the opposite for me. I love to re-watch the first couple episodes (1-4) of some of my favorite older shows from time to time. Code Geass still hits the same and never fails to scratch that nostalgia itch. Yet I somehow ended up re-watching Made in Abyss every single time I revisited it. There is just something so mesmerizing about that show that keeps drawing me back for another full run.
Sometimes entertainment is not just about escapism and euphoria but also about tragedy and suffering. I'm not always in the mood for something like made in abyss but I can appreciate it as a work of art
The fact made in abyss is able to evoke those emotions speaks to how well written it is. It’s a masterpiece. Code geass is good but outside of the ending it’s just good.
Bro... that's the reason I rewatch. Not many shows can make you actually connect to the characters and direct a scene well enough to actually make you care to have an emotional reaction. Like, 86 to me is so so bland and predictable and has been, overall, forgetable for me after 20 episodes, but I will always ALWAYS come back to Made in Abyss scenes and get a new cry out of myself
Imo both are amazing, they scratch different itches if you like mystery worldbuilding and some eldritch ideas youll prolly incline more to MIA, if you like a political thriller with war and mechs its definitely code geass
I don't know about these hot takes here, I think yall miss understood some of Code Geass. I would say, and I think a lot of others would too, that R2 is better than R1.
Code Geass easy. Only needs 2 reasons; arguably one of, if not, the best endings in anime. As well as it being anime original, no manga or LN, to compare/hinder or even censor a story. It’s just the raw script/plot period.
Rewatched it twice. First time watched it when I was 14, last time when I was 24. Honestly, Code Geass is really, really unpolished. There are plenty of stupid tropes, cringy moments, way too much pathos and overacting but honestly? Last time I've watched it, I remembered exactly why I liked it so much. The essentials of the plot, even if some drama seems cheap, still grip me. At this point I'm not sure I would put it over Made in Abyss. I'm not as affectionate nowadays so of course MiA never gripped me as much as Code Geass did, but it still impressed me and I liked watching it from start to finish. It is more well-rounded experience.
@@sharmelfattakhov5041It basically a shitty story with amazing presentation. The characters are pretty good, the visuals are good, and the performances are great, but it’s in service to a mess of a story. Which I give props to, making a poorly structured story entertaining is really hard to do. But it’s still really flawed
@@sharmelfattakhov5041 A lot of it hasn’t aged well, and like most other shows you can always pick it apart not a single anime is exempt from that. But just like you said all of the weirder, goofier details somehow grip you and the ending is proof that a story can make or break depending on its conclusion. We’ll have to see when MiA ends but as of now it’s no question.
@@thomasffrench3639 There’s no anime out there with a more critically acclaimed ending (yet), CG has been the benchmark for a reason in that category. Even AOT who many hoped would be crowned the best is widely considered a “failed CG/Zero Requiem” ending. The advantage Code Geass will continue to have is that it’s concluded, once KNY or MiA or Chainsaw Man pt1 end there might be a debate again. And again the finale they’ll be compared to is guess what?
I mean, the only reason why I would choose CG over MIA is because CG is one of my all time favorites and what introduced me to anime. What I've seen of MIA, it's better than CG in almost every way, except for Lelouch, CC and the soundtrack.
Aa someone who has both in my top 10 this would be the death of me. It was not until like last week i final gave made in abyss season 2 a 10 as it's just really been clicking for me recently. I have some issue with made in abyss the same way i do with code geass, mainly season 2, i like season 2 probably just because the ending but i think season 1 is just the better all around package. Code geass was one of the first 10 anime I watched and I watched it with my best friend at the time. It means so much to me and I have cosplayed lelouch a few times. Its like tied for my 3rd favorite anime, well made in abyss is like in 6-8 range. Still i think made in abyss at least the anime is a near masterpiece. Like code geass it does have a flaw that stops it from being perfect and thats all the ecchi bs and all the other stuff I'm not going to defend. Again Code geass has the best ending in maybe all of fiction, only anime ending that is better is maybe Cowboy bebops, and only other ending I like as much is P5R ending. To me I think until made in abyss ends Code geass has the crown. It stuck the landing and is still perfect. Season 1 is not perfect but still a 10 for me mainly becausei think its the better half of the show beside the perfect ending. Made in abyss may not have the best ending as it would need to do a lot to just be a amazing ending but still. Well Code Geass lost in this I'm not to mad as made in abyss was my 3rd favorite show in the bracket. My is a tie between Vinland Saga and Code Geass. Side not i don't think people appreciate just how well written code geass season 1 is, like they set up the ending in the first scene and a lot of tiny stuff and character moments so early. Like I wish more people talked about this.
As much as I like MIA, I would gate keeping it cuz I am afraid when it got more popular into the mainstream media, there would be more idiot and the cancel culture would target it.
@@IchanN-in5yq i said "MORE" popular. Yes i know it's popular among those who watch various kinds of anime but its population is no where near those that hit the main stream media like Oshi no ko, spy family, jjk, aot, demon slayer, big 3 etc...

The whole last arc took a dip in writing quality. Suddenly they grew a couple of years and they all became philosophers, Gabi's insane plot armor, the dumbass alliance between characters that hate eachother, everyone going against Eren instead of being loyal, Eren knowing everything about everything and still being dumb etc. The last chapter/episode is just the final nail in the coffin.
@@thomasffrench3639 Isn't that actually pretty realistic though. People tend to come together over a common enemy. Even people who are diametrically opposed to one another. @@TNTspaz people will stop hating each other for just having a common enemy. That is extremely temporary. They literally point this out in Attack on Titan in season 1.
i just cant imagine made in abyss over code geass, expected nothing less from Grant and Joey who took Gurren Lagann to finals over Hunter X Hunter(Just because it gave them some good feeling while taking made in abyss over code geass which was total depressing, can't understand their logic/heart
I mean to be fair, when comparing two of the most highly regarded anime in their category you have to be illogical and use feelings because it’s hard to be objective about when they’re so different
code geass' writing is atrocious, has the single worst plot twist in anime. made in abyss is top10 of the last decade and has one of the best world building ever. clear as day, if code geass didn't have the last 5min of the show it would have been forgotten immediatly
@@brisikog if it would be the Gurren Lagann anime vs Hunter x Hunter manga, Hunter x Hunter would win, but the anime adaptation was pretty bland as Gurren Lagann has awesome visuals
Rare L. They completely forgot how heavily foreshadowed Euphemia moment was (and how, seeing Lelouch personality, it was pretty reasonable for him to make that joke, expecially not expecting what CC sort of foreshadowed him about his power "breaking up") and forgot a lot of important things about Rolo (also: yeah, obviously you forgot that, you watched it ages ago, not a few years ago like Made in Abyss). Made in Abyss is very good (despite being a loli/gore bait (expecially gore bait), but honestly no, it's not as good as CG.
I must've missed something with Made in Abyss... I watched S1 & came away thinking it was a solid 7/10, pretty good, moving on. But then every time people talk about it, they keep saying how "dark" and "messed up" it is, and I swear I cannot remember anything THAT bad, nor can I recall what made it such a highly praised anime. Maybe S2 ramped up the gory/violent stuff, or maybe I've just seen so many messed up things in anime (I mean every isekai kicks off with slaves, abuse, r-wording women, etc.) & I'm desensitized to it all.
S1 had only like 2 messed up scenes which are in great contrast of the happy optimistic characters and the cutesy artstyle. The movie and s2 just straight up are messed up from beginning to end. Great show
Season 1 isn’t even close to the lvl of messed up things that happen in the movie or S2, I’m not saying it’s gonna traumatize or that it’s gonna be the most violent or gory thing you’ll ever watch, but for an anime there’s very few that come to the level of not only messed up but leaves you with a feeling of helplessness at times
Sigh... R2 wasn't bad, it was good. Euphie moment wasn't bad writing, it was foreshadowed. Also her solution wouldn't solve anything in the long run. Code Geass is better than Made in Abyss and still holds up as a great and solid show.
zero media literacy period. okouchi is the worst writer in the industry, euphy plot twist is literally him speaking and making room for a season 2, one of the worst pieces of writing ever. if you like code geass' writing, yall can't possibly criticize any other piece of media pretty much
@@lorenzodidac465 proof of what you said? None. You just said "it's bad because I said it is", lmao. The Euphemia moment is heavily foreshadowed and is just a reasonable way to push the plot forward
@stefamart7 it is insanely bad because the only illogical extremely forced scenario happened making characters act out of character. Lelouch tested geass' powers when he randomly got it with no time wasting, it would make sense that he wouldn't watch anybody in their eyes after he met mao. Plus he said the dumbest thing on earth, conveniently what the author needed. It is not defendable.
Trash Taste really should refresh their knowledge on both animes they're pitting against each other before making a decision on which is better. If they do, I would have respected their choices more; but the things they have misconstrued, misremembered, and misunderstood about CG goes to show that a lot of its nuances went over their heads. Even Connor whom defended heavily summarized it as a male power fantasy, which is basically just a meme'd version of what it really is overall and what made it a timeless classic for many fans.
Made in Abyss is too good. Yes Code Geass is very good but especially score, emotional moments, fight scenes, even a one of a kind twisted story of abyss. So yeah Made in Abyss is better in my opinion
ive seen both the shows and i dont even see how this is a competition.... the only advantage made in abyss has is that its not ended yet and can have more seasons while code just ended with 2 seasons
This already seems to be the consensus in the comments, but... CG wins not even close. It's unity in vision and consistent quality are incomparable. Trash brainers don't even have a reason other than "I remembered it wrong" and "Look at this meme which is still debated to this day! I am automatically right!" Made in Abyss anime is peak but a lot of it feels unnecessary, in the writing, the weird depiction of children, the suffering and ugliness. Not bad, just what's the purpose of every arc and character? It's an ongoing manga, not an original anime with the ending decided from the start, split into two production sessions. Made in Abyss has maybe the best first episode in anime and a 2 peak songs, but CG is consistently good, every ost, every episode, all the way until the satisfying end (MIA might never even have an end), and it all makes sense when you actually think about it. Some things seem stupid like the million zero costumes and the epilogue, but it doesn't change the structure or meaning of the story or characters in a contrived way, it's just hard to believe. MiA movie had insane quality, though. Code Geass still has better thought out characters, but that movie is perfect. And the Euphy moment... On my first watch I was angry too, but not for this stupid reason. I was angry because I was convinced Geass required intent on the users part during the command. I don't understand people acting like genocide is this unheard of thing when every child is taught WW2 Germany were bad because they wanted to kill all the you know whats, and that the history of America is the history of the persecution of black people just because of their "skin." The theme of race, evolution, genocide is all over the US, CG, and probably Japan. To this day people use these ideas as rhetorical tools. What LL said could even be interpreted as a mockery of these absurd concepts being used to fear monger, in addition to being the exact opposite of what Euphy would think. Even if this one moment seems stupid, it doesn't betray the natural purpose of her character from the beginning, or the flow of the story. If you examine CG before and after, it fits right in. Replace it with something that makes more sense in your head cannon if you like, it makes little difference to the rest of the story. Euphy was aligned against LL and with Suzaku from the moment she appeared. The quality of MiA comes more from the quality of the adaptation. Ost suits it perfectly, animation is beautiful and consistent and sells the mystery, VAs aren't distracting and tell the story without issue. Character writing and motivations are secondary to the plot and selling viewers on the mystery of the big hole. It is Good, but how about the manga vs CG experience? Great manga, but not even close, especially when most people are reading compressed fan scanlations.
the world of the abyss is just too grand and ethereal to be beaten its just as easy as that for me, CG might be a good experience and not saying it has a bad story, if you think about the world of the abyss it a bit more and explore the hints and pieces of the puzzles laid out in MIA youll see what i mean, where is lyza? what are the relics? what happens every 2000 years? why did reg come up? why is there a ship in the great falt? etc. etc. and trust me theres gonna be an explaination for all of these, theres no way there isnt gonna, its not jsut a big hole, its a lot more than that. not to mention the obvious fillers and typical anime cringy moments in CG however, at the core, theyre very different enough, and people think things differently, so we're allowed to have different opinions
MiA has just 2 peak songs? Haneveze Caradhina Transcendence and Hanezeve Rumble of Scientific Triumph Tozo Hanoline Old Stories VOH Belaf's Lullaby Every single one of these is a technical and artistic masterpiece. And there are many more....while it's not even finished. And "what's the point of every arc?" Bruh Im fine if people like CG more but come on though.

If we are comparing endings, I prefer Attack on Titan to Code Geass. I don’t know if resonated with me more. I think Code Geass ending is good, it just feels way too neat and tidy with having world peace by the end. It just doesn’t feel real to me, and Attack on Titan felt way more natural with how it ended. Maybe there’s more plot holes in AOT’s ending, but CG’s ending just doesn’t hit me at all
Long ish rant incoming, because CG fans have been insufferable and wrong when it comes to AoT/CG ending discourse, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt as I'm emotionally biased to a degree towards one show more than the other (still like CG though). For one, AoT is also just a way stronger story so it ending as well as it did is also more impressive and emotionally satisfying. I dislike how much people base off their opinions of media based on particular scenes or sections when really it's about a consistently high quality for me. CG's ending is very gratuitous, while wanting to have its cake and eat it too. I think it's funny too how people talk about Lelouch with such positive connotations when the story ending's premise relies on the fact that he supposedly did heinous things offscreen that justified the ending. Make no mistake, there are tons of edgy teenagers online who support Eren, so I understand this isn't the strongest argument, but really, have you *ever* seen actual discussions on Lelouch's wrongdoings or any meaningful debate on it? No, because these things are not really shown and you mostly see Lelouch's good and sympathetic sides (even stuff like the Nunally scene where he uses Geass on her has to be tempered by Lelouch clearly showing he loves her in the same scene he's being an immense jackass...). Compare that to AoT where you have a full season of Eren being a huge asshole that's committing war crimes ON SCREEN with carefully laid out crumbs setting up his personality leading to the climax in Ch131/Final Chapters Special 1 which is later reinforced by the final chapter. Notice how I say reinforced, because every aspect of Eren in the final chapter is reinforcing something previously shown or hinted at, from his suicidal "come kill me and become heroes" talk, his desire to wipe off the Titans, him being self-aware of his flaw and slavery to chasing freedom, the character relevance of the Dina twist being the exact same deal as with Grisha twist. To get this out of the way too since it's more controversial, Dina twist is worse because it's mechanically less airtight, but people hate it because there's a misconception that Eren acts the way he does in the story solely because of his mother's death, when that was an event reinforcing emotions he already held prior and were shown to exist multiple times. But the point of both of these twists is to show how some of Eren's most emotionally traumatic events are his own fault, his fundamental character flaws and nature are his own downfall. In other words, it's bog standard tragedy writing and done very well as far as I'm concerned anwyay. Anyway, point is his villainous behavior is left to rest and sit with the viewer for a really long time before you get any sort of remote sympathy for him. In other words, the sympathy and the "oh damn..." feeling many viewers have for Eren is much more organic and tragic in nature. It's also a much more compelling mystery in general that's slowly untangled and recontextualized. Isayama is truly an expert when it comes to stuff like this, pre timeskip with the outside world mystery and post timeskip with Eren. Issue is, many CG fans (or people in general) read AoT in a very tourist-y way because it was really popular and you just had to have an opinion on it, so a lot of the more complex elements of the story are boiled down to a single thing leading to a lot of misconceptions. In this case, people think AoT/CG ending are the same and Eren is a copy paste of Lelouch when in reality the ending of AoT and Eren is about different things, but even the things that *are* similar to CG/Lelouch are done better because the framework of the story is just more soundly constructed as I've hopefully explained.
how the fuck does Aot ending hit you more in termso of being more realistic? All that asspulls eren pulled off is more realistic? they simply just added a generic last line about how war will continue to brew between nations. Dont forget that after our gang clearing up almost the entire world, they were allowed to other nations or whatever. that shit would not fly in real life. Its as unrealistic as it can get. CG ending at least makes sense within its own world rules. Aot ending neither makes ssense in its world nor obviosuly in the real world.

Like I saw it 3 times in my life one when it came out one in 2015 and one in 2021 after people kept saying it was bad all along. And from perspective all over the ages and after seeing more shows with I would 100% got better writing Season 2 of Code Geass is not bad whatsoever, it is just a myth that started somehow and then Got Mendala Effect. Even like Big fans of the series will tell you Season 2 they haven't felt it, it goes in an instant this only happens when it is enjoyable and Good. While season 1 for many Fans states it drags. For me Code Geass Season 1 is like the first 12 episodes of Steins gate and season 2 is the 13-23 of Steins gate, they are enjoyable you watch them in 1 sitting and it ends. Go now and do it if you have some time you will see that Season 2 was never bad it is not the masterpiece of writing but it is 100000% not garbage as the Mandala Effect rumors came. Again you won't have this ending with bad writing it is impossible to do. It makes sense because the writing made sense because it got to the point it wanted to get to. You clearly can see in this video that they don't remember Code Geass season 1 or 2 they only remember the some of the bad stuff. But a again handshake hand with 99 people and 1 slaps your hand instead you would remember this slap more than the 99 others who handshake your hand.

Code Geass is what got me into the romantic period.
No amount of brute
force could ever make him do that, but a truly good person asking him for truly good reasons is the one thing he can't deny, so he lets go.
He was looking at her in the eye when he said the words.

The geass goes rogue because he goes against his contract to see his mission to the end in that moment.

@Jxxron tbh it is genuinely one of the worst most forced plot twists ever. I've watched the entirety of osama game and I felt less insulted by it
The boys are kinda disrespectful here, best case.
This.

Code geass. Made in abyss makes me want to sleep.
Damn ppl rlly can't take an opinion
Trash Taste really should refresh their knowledge on both animes they're pitting against each other before making a decision on which is better. If they do, I would have respected their choices more; but the things they have misconstrued, misremembered, and misunderstood about CG goes to show that a lot of its nuances went over their heads. Even Connor whom defended heavily summarized it as a male power fantasy, which is basically just a meme'd version of what it really is overall and what made it a timeless classic for many fans.

the only advantage made in abyss has is that its not ended yet and can have more seasons while code just ended with 2 seasons
Made in abyss doesn't have a pizza episode
@@icecp6532 which is one of the many reasons why it’s worse. Lmao
Great manga, but not even close, especially when most people are reading compressed fan scanlations.
the world of the abyss is just too grand and ethereal to be beaten its just as easy as that for me, CG might be a good experience and not saying it has a bad story, if you think about the world of the abyss it a bit more and explore the hints and pieces of the puzzles laid out in MIA youll see what i mean, where is lyza? what are the relics? what happens every 2000 years? why did reg come up? why is there a ship in the great falt? etc. etc. and trust me theres gonna be an explaination for all of these, theres no way there isnt gonna, its not jsut a big hole, its a lot more than that. not to mention the obvious fillers and typical anime cringy moments in CG
however, at the core, theyre very different enough, and people think things differently, so we're allowed to have different opinions
MiA has just 2 peak songs?
Haneveze Caradhina
Transcendence and Hanezeve
Rumble of Scientific Triumph
Tozo Hanoline
Old Stories
VOH
Belaf's Lullaby
Every single one of these is a technical and artistic masterpiece.

Maybe there’s more plot holes in AOT’s ending, but CG’s ending just doesn’t hit me at all
AOT's ending was ass tho
@@IWantToStayAtYourHousethen by the transitive property so is Code Geass
Finished Code geass yesterday felt the same way
Long ish rant incoming, because CG fans have been insufferable and wrong when it comes to AoT/CG ending discourse, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt as I'm emotionally biased to a degree towards one show more than the other (still like CG though).

Only recently in like the past 4 years people started to say Season 2 is bad.
While I can see some people's point some points are right down insane and you would think they never watched the saw to begin with.
