I love that the show opened with a shot of my favorite place to stay-cation, the Hotel del Coronado. I’m a resident of Southern California and the hotel is just a 2-hour drive away from my home, but it makes for a great weekend escape! The place hasn’t changed much in appearance over the years which is why I love it so much. It holds a certain nostalgic charm that keeps drawing me to it.
I’m loving this great old show! I watched this episode with my cat curled up next to me! What a great episode! This is a bit off subject, but has anyone else noticed just how shrill and glass-shatteringly loud women’s screams were on screen in the 70’s?! What was that all about?! Was it just the poor quality of the audio recording devices?

We got our first color television around 1973. The black & white ended up in the master bedroom. We kids would end up watching the Wonderful World of Disney on the B&W while the parents watched 60 Minutes in the living room on the color TV. Both shows came on at the same time on Sunday nights... Ah, memories.😊

I read the Wikipedia article on this series, it said the ratings were low so they changed the name and dropped Mr. French, it still only lasted 9 more episodes after that. What the hell? Why would ratings have been low and how could they have thought eliminating Mr. French's parts would HELP? His speaking is my favorite part, I dont like the ones as much without him. Very cool show, I have vague memories of bits and pieces but basically it is all new to me, thanks.

Mariette Hartley was a solid actress. Never number 1 but extremely credible. And I loved seeing Jackie Cooper who played in a 30's or 40's series such as The Dead End Kids..then, of Course, in Superman as Perry White the Editor of the paper. This was a terrific episode mainly due to the actors, writers and director....Naturally. Thanks for uploading.

Ghost story, night gallery et al. I was 7 or 8 when these were first on. I would sneak out of my room and watch them when my older sister was up watching. without her knowing. Had nightmares for weeks. Speaking of 70s horror/thriller television, Does anyone remember the ABC movies of the week. They had several classic horror/suspense/supernatural movies that I remember being just terrifying. One about a Jennie Hanover, a folklore "woman/siren" of the sea who would lure men to their deaths. I remember a scene at the end with a giant turtle....ring any bells?

The movie you're referring to is the 1982 remake of the '40s Cat People, it starred Nastassja Kinski, Malcolm McDowell. Not a bad movie but I still much prefer the original and its sequel, Curse of the Cat People.

Poor bull. My sister had a pet brahma bull. I know it's only a show but I hate when they kill animals. I don't cry for humans but I always cry for animals. :D But I will keep watching cause I love these old shows!!

This certainly is a fun story, sad but fun. Doug McClure was a hottie when younger but as he matures , he loses those good looks. The wife was anything but so desirable she could mesmerize a man. Anyone. Of well, good story.
