You are welcome. I know it's hard to remember Chinese names as theirs have the last name first, hence, the name "surname". Well, to help remembering, Zhang Quan Liang's "Quan Liang" means all bright (quan=all; liang=bright) and Li Zi Ming's "Zi Ming" means person understanding (zi=person/son/teacher/honorable you; ming=understanding).
He's doing it without power, I guess so you can learn the basic movements. When you practice these, do them with the principles you learned, in a lower stance, and in your own way with proper stances, precision, speed, smoothness and power. Not sure why he's so sloppy in these demonstrations. I wouldnt show this to new students. You have to know the principles and have a proper foundation to be able to do this right.
in the two person drills this is interesting it has exercises that resemble sticking in yang style push hands. It also has yang long pullback energy or Da Lu exercises. It just shows internal influences. From wudang styles. Nothing fake here.
yes. bagua, tai chi and hsing-i share many aspects. but its not from wudang. modern wudang is from bagua, tai chi, hsing-i. old wudang was taoist temple for long time, but the govt cleaned it out and installed new teachers, and a new method. none of big 3 internal arts originated at wudang, that's a myth to get people to go visit. it's like disneyland. fun and exciting but fake.
Can some real Bagua/Pakua martial artist tell me if this person teaching is real or fake? Thanks.......I'm very ignorant about Bagua as I've never done it.
You do not understand what it is, why it is or how it is used. To not like it is one thing, but to call it "bad" when you simply are uninformed and inexperienced is another.
I've studied BaGua for ages. This video is very bad and shouldnt be shown to new students. You would have to have a very deep understanding of BaGua to be able to take these drills and do them the right way. Because its not being done right here.
Telluriana Mystic I do understand what it is, inefficient. all of the moves are demonstrated on a completely compliant, overcommitted attack, something that does not happen in the real world. his responses are unnecessarily long and drawn out movements, that expect the opponent to stand still for upwards of five seconds. look, some things are meant to be forgotten, and garbage, bronze age martial arts are one of them.

Video's title :

Pardon my ignorance but looks a lot like the Xing I I learned.... WTF? My Pa Kua was very circular....
though, a lot of techniques have merit, the way a student jumps around,… does not.
Making Ba Gua Jhang into Bull shit, John.
gotta say, definitely don't like this... bad in every way.
