My husband grew up without pets. We got 2 cats 2 years ago for our son, and my husband adores them, and he was genuinely surprised how fond of them he is. They are good for your mental health, regardless of the cost.
“ you need to get rid of stuff.” I totally agree. Storage bins just encourage stockpiling junk by putting it out of sight. - I talked to a Keurig salesman who said they have come out with a biodegradable cup. I have not seen it in stores yet.
This video came at the right time….right when I was out and about to cave in and spend money on lunch, rather than eating at home….you inspired me to not spend unnecessary money
As a 6 figure income earner, I take public transit to work, pack my own lunch every day & don’t buy morning coffees. You’ll be surprised how little you can survive on when you don’t splurge. Debt free, can retire anytime I want to. Don’t really care when market is down. Financial peace of mind is the best feeling ever.
I'm one of the few that still buy planners and make my to-do list in a notebook. There's something satisfying about crossing it off a list after it's complete :) Glad that you are back!
Stores are supposed to offer towels, but you may only need to buy them twice in your life. When you leave your parents' home, and when you add a few children to your family. I've been using mine for ages, too. I have a couple new ones stored, but so far I haven't had a need to break out the back up supply.
@@BeatTheBush Nah, I am a cheapskate. Actually, frugal, not cheap. Just don’t see the point of accumulating junk if I can live without it. I love traveling & that’s where I like to spend my money.
I like to go in and look for markdowns. I got a bunch of grass-fed butter for $2 a pound a few days ago. Best butter I ever had, and less than half the price of the store brand.
Frozen vegetables are arguably better than fresh. The frozen vegetables are flash frozen straight after being picked so will be more fresh than the so called fresh ones in the shop which have been sitting out for a while. They also tend to be cheaper and obviously last longer.
I didn' t think about the fact that lawn chairs desintigrate. I've only just ever thrown them out and just bought another without really thinking about it. Thank you!
You are so funny; you say "My towels are discolored but I use my things ........." "I am wearing this for many years ........." I like your being frugal! And thank you so much for teaching me how to position your glasses (ie: behind your ears/head) when you are not using them. I was having huge problem with losing my glasses because I was putting them in purse, etc.
I almost always shop knowing what I want and carrying a list if more than a few items. So, when I go to Target, the only big box store in my town, I start by asking the people at the service desk where the item(s) I am looking for. So, they say such and such aisle. I look there and look and look and look but do not find it. So, I scour the store for an employee and find one on the opposite side of the store. Inevitably, he/she does not know the department I am searching in, so he/she calls someone to help. After waiting 10 minutes or so an employee comes over and starts looking in the same places I already have looked, they do not know where anything is! I come up with nothing except the loss of an hour and a half, but I sure save at Target. You are one of the most honest, thought provoking and enjoyable people on RUclips so keep up the good work.
I usually find it quite difficult to even buy what I need. But one thing that happens is when I leave the dressing room after trying on the one thing I need, I see the things other people did not buy and left with the dressing room staff. Very often, I'm like "I love it, where did this come from? I need a medium."
Ugh Target is so overpriced these days. Rarely do I ever find a good deal with coupons or clearance anymore. I find that Free Assembly from Walmart and a couple of clothing lines from Meijer are stylish and cheaper than stuff at Target and Kohls
I love your videos because you make "fun" videos and why do you make "fun" videos??? Because you are a fun kind of guy! I walk through Target when I walk at the mall and I tend to become immune to buying anything at Target--I only go for just the walk thru. Nothing at Target seems to interest me.
I love Target. It is easy to spend $ if you don't have self control which I do. I would love videos on quality, long lasting brands. Anymore it seems most things do not hold up, especially if purchased online from Amazon imo. Frozen vegetables from what I've heard from nutritionists are actually fine if you want to eat healthy & need convenience. There's a common misconception they're not healthy but often times they have more nutrients bc they're flash frozen right at harvest. Just have to make sure they don't add bad sauces or sugar in.

Cast iron lasts forever (generations) and if seasoned properly, is non-stick. Also no harmful chemicals. Even Teflon is not safe at high temperatures these days and was very unsafe decades ago.
I also window shop at my local grocery routinely. I checked for the prices to see if I can get it online cheaper, and check if it's healthy enough and not loaded with tons of sugar or preservatives.

Nice! How about Home depot or a Best buy next?
You're a modern-day Ben Franklin BeatTheBush! You know that wise saying of his: "A fool and his money are soon parted", well its obvious you ain't no fool, all the contrary! 😊👍I have grown wiser since subbing Prepper Princess, Bobby Parrish and his FlavCity channel and of course you.
It is good to put in practice the motto "Don't buy it, you don't need it' from the T-Shirts. What about the cost of opportunity of wasting time in a shop not buying anything? Would there have been a better (and wiser) use of your time?
I usually go there when I have something I need in practice. This video is to demonstrate the thought process of how to avoid buying things you see there.
Wasting his time? You cant be this dense. He's obviously doing it for the content. There was a purpose🙃
Forget the ad for Target... What I want to know is how much does Patagonia pay for the product placement of that fleece jacket? Is Patagonia a stealth promoter of RUclipsrs? I notice a lot of vloggers wear prominent Patagonia logo'd attire.
Zero, it is not a product placement, when they are, I'll let everyone know.
For toilet paper, do you use a bidet or do you use old newspaper?
@@Kahunapunk86 - Supermarket store weekly newspaper ads are free! I normally use big leaves from my yard to wipe my bunghole. 💩
off topic but dang, you're the type who likes to hang sunglasses behind your head? lol. jk no judgement. Im just jealous my head's too oddly shaped for it to stay there.
Resist? I actually go to target to window shop. Basically as an excuse to leave the house lol
You didn't spot anything on clearance, and still not buy it?
The ghost reference got me 😅 lol
