Try to crush the ramen while it's still in the pack, easier & less messy 😁 And make cheese shavings with peeler as it's easier to arrange them on the ramen (Won't spill over to the sides). Anyways great video as always guys!
snow isnt white. its clear, but visible light gets bent by the ice crystals until it mostly gets reflected back. and the combination of all visible lighg appears white.
I sear off onions + any other veg I want in sesame oil cut with vegetable oil. Cook some ramen (not all the way) and set it aside, add some ramen broth, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili flakes, then cook it down to a level where I know after I add a cornstarch slurry, it will coat all the ramen I have prepped. then I toss the noodles in with the sauce, and maybe brown them off a bit. Peanut butter and peanuts are always optional to give this dish a kick (or any kind of meat cubed and seared off in the pan first).
Mix 70/30 ground beef (about a pound) with the seasoning packets from two packages of ramen and add it to a dry frying pan over medium heat, fry until all the meat is browned, set the meat aside, leaving the drippings in the pan, and begin frying some bell peppers in the remaining beef drippings. Boil the noodles until they are slightly under-cooked. Add the beef and the cooked noodles, with a tiny bit of their water, back into the pan with the peppers along with some diced tomatoes. Toss while cooking to allow everything in the pan to mix thoroughly until the noodles are done. Serve. Edit: It's quite good to use chicken-flavored ramen for this despite the fact that beef is the main ingredient, even better is to use two differently flavored ramens. Also, additional veg can easily be added/subbed to match most people's tastes.
OMG THE LAST RECIPE THO 😍😍 Definitely need to try that! I kinda miss having bloopers at the end of fridgecam. Or are you guys gonna post a blooper video soon? I don't mind a 60 min long video I'll watch it 24 times a day everyday :-P
can i just say that everytime you upload a new video, it brings me joy. you guys bring me happiness. i was feeling a little under the weather. sorted food, you rock. don't ever leave me. love from malaysia
the time is 3:07 pm in Pakistan its noon .. thank you sooo much for great ideas about noodles i love it ... i like your cgannel .. keep it up ....ALLAH always with you ... 😀😀😀

This is the first time that I'm watching your video and you have got a new subscriber. You guys are awesome! Your wit and the heavy British accent is bonus! ;) loved your recipes
A diary from someone who doesn't cook often. I made the ramanara with what I had on hand: - normal bacon pieces - sliced cheese - dry thyme - unsalted butter - salt - noodles in a cup - olive oil (I couldn't find garlic oil) - water It was a war site after I was done. Grating sliced cheese is a bit of a challenge. So I hoped it would workout fine if I'd fold 2 slices until it becomes like a big block and grate it by holding it tight. While that did work, pieces of cheese that weren't grated properly were flying around like little fairies on a rave while pretending to be fireworks. The noodle was in a cup. And it did NOT want to leave its cup. Out of sheer panic I took a knife and stabbed the cup to pieces, bits of plastic and collateral noodles flew in my sink until I could finally extract the noodles from the cup. Note to self: next time just gently loosen them up with some hot water. But I did not have time to think, my bacon pieces were already cooking and almost burning. With great haste I threw in thyme, a knob of butter and some salt. I threw in the water and then came to the realization that these noodle cup portions might be a bit small. So I butchered a second noodle cup and extracted its noodles. I was 10 minutes in, almost done and realized that the cleanup would take me more time than it would to make the dish :P It did taste quite nice. But I do have some qualms about it (I suppose also regarding normal carbonara) which is: THIS IS NOT HEALTHY AT ALL!!!!! Man, I'm so naive as someone who doesn't cook often. But I could just taste the fat, the meat, the cheese and the salt. What the hell. So I am wondering: what would make this dish a bit more healthy and nice? Maybe add some mushrooms? An egg with the noodles (egg fried noodles)? Some onions and garlic (are sweated onions still healthy? I suppose so?)? I read others also put in zucchini, peas and mushrooms
I just really love how much fun they seem to be having in this video. Obviously they're always having fun, but this was just so lovely and made me smile because they seemed happy. :)
I'm Italian and I can proudly say that I survived the view of this video. There are far worse things in this world than ramenara... Think of vegan carbonara (yep, it does exist!)
+Rea Sta. Ana Hello everybody i am a food lover and just start making videos about how to cook in eassiest way . I just post my second video so check my channel to watch it and subscribe for more if you like it thnx ;)
My mom makes the yummiest ramen noodle salad thing and calls it broccoli slaw. There's grated broccoli, crushed ramen noodles, a bunch of other stuff I can't remember, and then an amazing sauce with the flavour packet. It's SO GOOD.
I saw an interesting recipe using ramen noodles to make gnocchi by David Chang. You basically soak the noodles in hot milk then blend together with 4 egg yolks. Pour into a pastry bag and once its cooled a bit you can just squeeze blobs into boiling water to cook. Maybe give it a try and see what it tastes like!
James, hun, just because you, yourself, take up an entire love seat doesn't mean that the love seat is a one person chair. because it's not. you're just real big. which is amazing.
There are some folks out here in Los Angeles and they make a Ramen Burger. They use the ramen noodles as the buns. The key is the sauce they put on the burger. It is pretty good.
Tip: if you want to crush instant ramen (or anything crumbly/messy like Oreo cookies), you could do it with the end of a rolling pin without getting everything all over the place by putting it into a plastic bag, then smashing the heck out of it. :)
+Avery Siriusly Learned that from eating Mamee noodles (it's a dried type of instant noodle that you can pour seasoning over and eat straight from the pack) as a child, which coincidentally is also a great instant noodle-related food. If you guys ever get a chance to, try it!
Oh James 😂 His facial expression at 3:22 and the number of times he turned his head between Jamie and the camera, this is why we want to see more of him 😂
I just cook the noodles in as little water as possible and add the seasonings. I transfer the noodles to a bowl , with a little of the liquid, add some diced cooked chicken or ham and top with lots of Parmesan cheese. Stir. It becomes like noodles in Alfredo sauce. Delicious!
To answer the question regarding rainbows at night, you can sometimes see them forming a circle around the moon if weather conditions are right and light pollution is minimal. I call them moonbows. 😊
ramen noodles, cooked ground beef, cheddar cheese sauce with chilies and lime. Basically tex-mex ramen. In texas you can actually get chili/lime/cheese flavor cup'o ramen.
If you're really in a pinch for ingredients I make the "Raman-ara" allll the time but as a college student i don't have fresh ingredients so i boil 150ml of water with garlic powder, dried thyme, and butter then add the parmesan and boil the noodles until the sauce reduces to your liking :)
All of this looks GREAT!! I was wondering if you could have a video/series with cheap and healthy food for students? It's so hard to come up with food for just one person and healthy, budget friendly food!🙈
We make noodle pancakes with our ramen. We cook our noodles off and while that cooks we dice up tomato, onion and ham/bacon. Mix them all together with a tin of corn, 3 eggs and cheese. And then spoon some of the mixture into a hot frying pan so they look like little pancakes. Cook until golden brown on each side. Season with a little salt and serve. I like mine with a little bit of sweet chill sauce. Or if your really lazy pour the same mixture into a a baking pan and bake in 180c oven until the egg is cooked through.
See, I'm Italian, but I'm not offended at all by this! When I was in Ireland, I had ramen noodles with coleslaw... There was nothing wrong with it... My scottish flatmate was pretty freaked out... But it was exam week so I shall consider myself excused... And you should too!!! And I am still a good cook! Cheerio!
Omg they all looked delish!! I love eating raw noodles tasty 😋 an when I do cook the noodles my go to is BBQ beef noodles, chunks of cheddar at the bottom, pour noodles over the top so cheese starts to melt then add some BBQ sauce 🤌👌😋 x
I always daydream at night before I fall asleep! It helps me to fall asleep. Technically I guess you should call it night-dreaming but it just doesn't sound quite right, since usually you dream at night anyways lol ☀️😴💬@🌛⭐️ And I just wanted to say that I love watching your videos!! I learn so much about cooking and I always get a good laugh too! However, I vote that the guys should be nicer to Ben!! Mostly just Jamie and Barry!, Mikes not too bad with it lol. I'd really like to see an entire video filled with being over the top nice to Ben. Like before anyone speaks, compliment him or something equally sweet. (Even though I love you all, Ben issss my favorite! Gotta love a nerdy guy who can cook! 😉) lol. 😄💜
When I was in college, we used ramon noodles for pretty much everything. From "mac"-n-cheese (just boil up the noodles as you would the "mac" part then add Velveta and pop it into the nuker* until the cheese is all melty and stir it around until the noodles are coated then eat.) to cereal (take the uncooked noodles, crumble and pour milk over them.) to a yogurt topping instead of granola (granola was too pricey for us. lol) to a replacement for rice crispies in no-bake cookies or rice crispie treats... And prolly loads of other things too that I've forgotten over the years. :1 *nuker- what we called the microwave. X1
I really want to try these recipes! But I would change the first and third ones a little bit, like use chicken instead of mushrooms because I feel like some people would like that better (that's just my opinion) and I wouldn't put siracha on my grilled cheese because spicy food makes me sick. But I would the Italian ramen as is because it looks absolutely delicious! :)
Ben, I just wanted to let you know that my mum watched you and said you are easy on the eyes! Mind you she's in her early 60s which means that both of us have crushes on you. 😂 she also said that the other boys are ok but she was your favorite 👍
Tortilla flour wraps are part of my diet on an almost daily basis, so I'd love to see what you guys could do with them! Especially if you're using Mission, cause they have some herb wraps that I never seem to get the most out of!

Wait what does it mean? I didn't get it.

+WestEndActress Took me a while to get it. Thirty seconds after he said it, I reached the revelation and fell out of my chair XD
I'm so slow! I had to watch that part 4 times before I got it
"Hey, they float!" I love the genuine amusement in Ben's voice :))
Did they come with a red balloon?
Annie1962 shut the fuck up Annie.
@@fanwee5048 That was mean Annie are you ok are you ok Annie
I love James.
That man is a dark horse.
I bought a fridge but it didn't come with a camera. I was very disappointed.
Try to crush the ramen while it's still in the pack, easier & less messy 😁 And make cheese shavings with peeler as it's easier to arrange them on the ramen (Won't spill over to the sides).
Anyways great video as always guys!
I think most people crush them in the package, but they can't (don't want to) show the brand names.
Where does the 'white' go when snow melts?
What?! Why would you ask something like this? That's like saying... If rain is clear, why are rain clouds dark grey??
Both questions hurt my head
snow isnt white. its clear, but visible light gets bent by the ice crystals until it mostly gets reflected back. and the combination of all visible lighg appears white.
+Annie Kim Thank you science side of Sorted community!!!
+Annie Kim I'd rather go with the answer that Jamie mistakes the snow for marshmallow fluff and eats the white out of it.

Going to that much trouble you may as well just buy the noodles and use healthier broth.

Hey hey hey! Finally someone else who acknowledges the whole Mind of a Chef series. It's such a great show.
When I was at boarding school, a true delicacy was the noodle toastie. Noodles. Cooked and seasoned. In bread. In the toastie machine. Yum.
As a college student I’m now motivated to try something new!

A diary from someone who doesn't cook often.

Daydreaming at night is perfectly acceptable, provided you aren't asleep while doing it.
Now, what do I win? Perhaps that awesome Bundt pan?
+Moonstorm0551 Nightdreaming during the day, however, is decidedly difficult - unless you're narcoleptic.
I'm italian. I love this. It's easy and delicious. Not a real carbonara but it's not supposed to be :)
I love that moving to the UK means I can be on time for all the videos 😂
I always daydream at night before I fall asleep! It helps me to fall asleep.
Technically I guess you should call it night-dreaming but it just doesn't sound quite right, since usually you dream at night anyways lol
