    The racing perspective, it was hella good. I’m glad they were finally bold enough to go three by three and see it working out. Hopefully we can see that more often like the old times. But it was a good reminder to myself that never take the cars for granted. I know we seen that from old gen cars back in the 2000s and early on, but with this technology, these types of cars, never thought I would see that happen. Overall, it was a great race. Glad blaney and preece is okay

    Major kudos to NASCAR for the safety improvements. Watching that replay at 1:33:05, the #12 car hit the wall head-on as hard as Dale Earnhardt did. (If not harder.) Ryan Blaney is only alive because of the SAFER barriers and HANS devices. Thank goodness drivers are able to walk away from massive impacts like that now.

      That's unrealistic at this point in time. Even the NASCAR of the 60's and 70's were not what you drive daily. I like what NASCAR was and what it is now, no complaints from me. The local demolition derby is where you'll find true stock cars.

      @@stevegresock5939 Ah, I see. The disparity in body styles would make drafting interesting, and that's probably why NASCAR went with same body for everybody. NASCAR probably didn't want it to be about who can read the aerodynamics at speed better.

      @danielkelchner5467 4 месяца назад

      Hey that would be pretty interesting to have say 5or 6 different body's of real everyday cars or trucks&even SUVs and just have people like JR.johnson Harry H. Take all of them to the wind tunnel and testtracks& either add or subtract aero to or from each vehicle until they all had similar amounts of downforce and drag and then have one company build every teams body's and ship them to each team and leave everything else the way it is at least they wouldn't have to worry about failing tech inspect. From the bodies anyways lol!🤙✌️

    For Nascar top management: Need new audiences? I have an idea.
    Invite TV station and news managers from Latin America to attend a race at Daytona.
    The idea is to sell them the rights to broadcast on their country.
    Leave a chat and email open so they can ask questions about the rules. schedule Q&A sessions so presenters can describe what is happening in the race.
    During the broadcast allow environmental noise of the cars so audiences in these coutries can feel the thunderous roar.
    Invite supermarket executives too to sell merchandise if good audience levels are achieved to sell merchandise.
    You need new audiences and I feel that is a good way to keep existing audiences and gain new audiences overseas.

    I wonder if becuase the grass dips below the level of the asphalt, with the amount of speed and bottom flat plates: perhaps these newer gens create a solid barrier of air beneith them? Kinda like the car sticks to the road but the second it hits the pocket of air on the grass, it suddenly becomes like a boat in the open ocean.. I wish I had a better way of explaining what I meant 😂

      It's usually a drain cover or an edge where track meets grass that catches either a sidewall&rim or if the cars already on its roof,then it likes to catch the roof at the open window and that's what sends it spinning&flipping, otherwise the roofflaps open and keeps it down for the most part, unless hit by another vehicle!

    • @hehe-IgoBRRRR

      Drafting can actually be a method to save fuel rather than burn it. Anyone behind the lead car won't have to run full throttle because the air would suck you into the car in front, that's why you don't see everyone pushing. However, the leading car of any line would burn a lot more fuel since they have no one to draft off of and they can't roll out of the throttle.
