It's true, without full transparency it's hard to know what the Chinese are putting up there, but given China's track record and the fact that you don't know what the US is putting up there either, I'd have more trust in the Chinese, after all, it's been ~50 years since China was in a war and in that time the US has been constantly at war and is in a war and an action that can't be named without me being banned.

Quite a long time ago, back in the 60s. Soviet had very close relationship back then. You can check out the interviews with Chinese engineers. Even though Soviet did not disclose their top secrets, it was still a good pointers for Chinese scientists to work on.

One thing I've noticed as an Asian American is that the contributions Asian immigrants have made-and continue to make-to this country are often underrated and sometimes met with disrespect. This lack of appreciation can lead some scientists, engineers, and others originating from China to consider returning to their homeland to contribute there instead of in the U.S. In some unfortunate cases, a few individuals may even resort to espionage, driven by resentment toward how they and their culture have been treated.
Hopefully, this issue will be addressed, and Asian immigrants will receive the peace and respect they deserve from other communities, in recognition of their significant contributions to this country.
