- Like a bud on a stem, Ernie Woolsey's 1980 FreightShaker FL866 is showing signs of blossoming ahead. Lots of new shiny bits and fresh new rubber look to be the beginning steps to renewing this old 80's girl into something sexy again. With her 252-inch factory wheelbase, I think she looks just right. Seen at the Truckin' For Kids Truck Show in Irwindale, California on Sunday October 8th., 2017.
She's a keeper proud wear and tear She's proved herself nice freight shaker
Can't wait till mine looks that good!✌️❤️
That's a beautiful shaker back when a RIG was a RIG If I could only here some of the stories that ole gal could tell. Thanks for sharing
Yes, thank you for watching.
Does anybody know the wheelbase on this COA Freightliner
I never really liked my freightliner very much but I would love to have one like that
Beautiful workhorse.
She shows us her exquisitely worn deep green color, while at the same time, reveals she's lost her passenger side windshield wiper arm and is missing the two hand grabs that usually go next to the wipers arms as well. She's a beauty alright, and she's not afraid to work her ass off as well.
EXCELLENT.
You're right...I bet she's got some tough miles under her belt.
That'll be a pretty ride. I like the green and a good painting and clear coat would do it. I've always liked the cabovers but never drove one. I always wanted a crackerbox with a 12-v or 8-V double-turbo 92 to play with but I'm too old for my wants to hurt me. Thanks, SCotty!
Good looking old truck
Does anyone know what year this truck is??
I think a mid-late 70’s truck because they kept the same body style for a few years after the deal with White motor company ended in 74
Judging from the steps door handle and windows and front badge it's a 79 or 80.probably 79 because the overhead ac unit
@@duane8069 Did factory AC start around 1980 for most manufacturers?
1980 to 1984. The horizontal door latches began in '80, though I don't know what month. 1984 APR was the last month of the oval quad headlamps.
There is a sticker on the left side cargo door that says "80", so probably 1980.
I like the dark green frame and
cab,and those new tires!
Yes, it really was a NICE truck.
She's very weathered well. Love it just like it is. In fact I've been fantasizing about owning a this make model since like 10 until this moment
Does anybody know the name of those air cleaner stacks and where can you get them from
And they didn't get near the credit most other cabover makes
