The song that played during the whole inside YG tour is WINNER’s “Movie Star”. The music that was playing during the intro of Yedam when he walking to the YG trainee practice studio is also WINNER and the song is “Fool”. Also, the building they showed is the old YG building. The new YG building is bigger and brighter, which was shown in TREASURE’s “MMM” MV. Oh the “J” in TREASURE J stands for JAPAN which makes total sense LOL!! I’m pretty sure it was JeongWoo that reminded YG of Daesung. YG is known for letting go trainees that doesn’t show much improvement and they have these monthly evaluations and the vocal trainers and dance trainers as well as YG producers may also have their input too. So it’s combination of not totally reaching their potential or YG just don’t see that potential. I know I get frustrated and annoyed by CEO YANG, but I can’t deny that this guy knows how to spot TALENT or potential in trainees. Even when viewers don’t see it at that time, YG doesn’t always look at just TALENT, he really looks for trainees that has huge potential... you know kind of like a diamond in the rough. Mind you A LOT of these trainees are super young and their voices will get deeper and skills can be improved. So keep that in mind.. it doesn’t matter how long someone trained in YG.. Age doesn’t even matter... it doesn’t matter if they’re from China or Japan or Korea. When I watched this in real time, I was really annoyed with YG’s decisions or the way he said things. But then when I thought about it, rewatched the show, and watched TREASURE MAP (got to know the boys). I saw what YG was trying to do and what he saw in certain trainees and in the end.. the final line up was right and they all deserved their spots in the group.
what good about yg is when the trainees debut or leave the company they doesn't need to pay for all the expenses that's why all their artist are rich.. sorry for my bad English 😅

He was picked because of that, in the street, but as you saw a little before, he didnt improve his skills as much as YG expected, because of that he was dropped. They showed YG warning them, and then showed that scene saying it was a few days later. Dont get it wrong, YG might look a little more to the looks now than before but as always they care way more about the skills. Also on another note, You were talking about the building in the beginning, well that is the old one, that building under construction next to it is the new one, they already moved to that one (is the one on Treasure's MMM music video background as well). About the visuals thing- YG is really not known to prioritize that. Bigbang was made fun of by knetz when they debuted saying they dont have looks but YG pushed them, let them show their talent. You will notice that even if YG maybe saying that he wants looks, in the end, he still ensured the most fitting talent gets in. There are a lot of gems from the YGTB that they needed to let go, and it all made sense now. And the first guy that was let go, he was really struggling with his singing and YG has high standards on that - obv on their artists.
Mixnine was also a survival program with YG selecting members from different companies to form a temporary group But that group making faced problems n it failed yet it gave many groups n companies exposure
Treasure have amazing personalities, but they don't show it here, they're really serious in this show but in tmap you can see their personalities. Most people became treasure makers after knowing their personalities actually. They're crackheads and very humble everyone who work with them are in love with them and they have great teamwork. They got really close during 2 years waiting for debut
Actually they're super crackheads ,but their personality doesn't show as much in treasure box. I suggest you to watch treasure map after you finish watch treasure box . Because they're late debut ( actually debut in 2019 but YG had a trouble) so treasure map make them closer and you'll see their personality and being crackheads.

I just wanna say that doyoung was not mocking junkyu, he was just shy because he was the youngest in treasure A,and was just told by his hyungs to comfort junkyu.
No matter what some people might say, YG was voted as the best company by the Ministry Of Labour for a reason, they are treating their employees and idols very well, unlike most of the companies, YG actually takes a small per cent from their money(like 40% SM for example, takes around 80%.) That's why there are many YG's idols on lists of rich idols, there are big idols who are not even on the list because of their companies. Honestly, I don't like big groups because it's hard to concentrate on all of them, that's a thing that I always liked about YG, they didn't have big groups until now, I didn't like the idea when I found out the number of 12 but on the other side, there were many talented trainees in this show... YG is widely known as an agency that recruits based on talent, not looks. At 30:13, the manager used the word "image". But it wasn't literally meant as visual image.
The whole competition is tense and more tough to watch. They seperated the fun stuffs and personality assessment into different content. So you won't really see their fun sides in the episodes. It's in the behind clips, cctv cams, diary log of members, etc. It's posted in their treasure box channel as well.
Treasure Map is the best way to know their personalities, but Treasure Box definitely emphasize their talents and efforts that will help you build a relationship with them, so yeah I think I get what you meant on your last ment 👍

Treasure Box highlighted their talents/skills and potentials while Treasure Map (TMAP) showcases their personalities. These kids are really chaotic if you get to know them. I have watched Treasure Map (TMAP) 3x and I still can't get over them. Treasure Box is a bit serious, as YG is fond of survival shows, he would always make the trainees unleash their potential to the fullest, even if it means enduring pain. In Treasure Box I got to know some of their stories and what they went through, and that made me understand how difficult it is for those chosen members to actually debut and you can see their passion for what they are doing. You'll also see how they grew from Treasure Box to the boys they are now.
They weren't making fun of Junkyu. Junkyu and Doyoung were close friends since younger days but they became Akward around each other. And junkyu wasn't confident anymore so they tried cheering him up after all that happened in Mixnine
Treasure A : The longest trainee - trained well. Treasure B : the beginners Treasure C : the youngest but so talented Treasure J : trainees that trained at YG Japan

TREASURE BOX is their survival show, in here you'll learn about their skills and how TREASURE was formed. This is during year 2018, and the boys are set to debut in 2019 but issues happened in YG that cancelled their debut and when things kinda cleared in 2020 that is when they debuted. That's 2 years after this show. During that 2 years, that's when TREASURE MAP happened wherein you can see how they treat each other and how they grow together while hoping and waiting for their uncertain debut. Imagine the 12 members waited and stayed together for 2 years despite of uncertainties. They stick together, hopeful, and now they are idols. In summary: TREASURE BOX is the survival show, shows their skills and talents and how they were polished in a competion. Also, shows their friendship towards every trainees. TREASURE MAP - reality show, this where the chosesn 12 members shows their charms, reality and how they become close to every members. This show is more on fun, and getting to know the personalities of TREASURE members. TMAP happened 1 year after the show ended and it is the show where you can see the process towards their official debut. You are curious if all the members are close to one another bcoz they are a huge group. The answer is YES. All TREASURE members are super close and attach to each other because of TREASURE MAP. Who wouldnt if after the survival show(2018), the official 12 members are together from after Treasure Box(2019) to Treasure Map (January 2020) up to their official debut date (August 7, 2020). Dude can you guys get what I mean? That's fucking 2 years of waiting but they stayed together!

What's up everybody? if you think "image" and "looks/face" is the same term in YG, you'll get confused when continue watching this show😁😁😁 what is standard? None. Some of them was too thin, some of them was too short, some of them maybe has different skin color. But they still have good review and pass. So what is clear in judgement? Their talent. When their sing or dance or rap good, you feel awesome, and they pass. YG always look for the best so they have rank. What they do for the #1 trainee? They give leader position. You'll see and agree with me😁
26:00 they are asking lots of boys and girls in the streets but very few of them actually comes for audition, they eliminate them in auditions or in a few months if they can get in. So out of a hundred people, they are only deciding on 10-15 trainees like you see in Team B. I think that it is harder to be visual member in idol groups because most of them don’t have a proper training before these companies kidnap them so they have to start learning from the beginning and working harder than the talented trainees (you know vocalists and dancers)
Why YG is so extra YG before: Doesn't pay attention to good look at all..main focus - unique vocal, swag & hip hop, etc YG Now: Treasure - talent with full visual like each member looking so handsome

Hi thank you for deciding to shine a light on Treasure. We really appreciate this. Also I had fun watching the reaction too! So please upload the 2nd episode soon!!!! Since you mentioned in you wanted to get to know Treasure members personality, here is some perspective from my POV. I personally think the best platform to know Treasure would be Treasure Map - its them familiarizing with cameras around, daily activities as a trainee, some games and all that stuffs. Its a very fun and lighthearted show. As for Treasure Box, it is a competition show of 28 trainees, so its different from WIN and MIXnMATCH. Being said that the screen time of debuted members were uneven, so you cant really "get to know them". Even YG's personal attachment with the boys were different. Also, they were young and under a lot of pressure during the show (28 people competing for 5-7 spot), so their real personality were not really correctly presented.
Anyway, just watch this show for fun. The ending of this show doesn't completely make the Treasure right now. So many things happened back then after this show, that caused treasure debut 1 years and half after this show. And yeah, yedam perform at WIN, so yedam like an artis for all trainees, so my opinion this show more like to find teammates for yedam, because YG and yedam himself want to debut as a group.
What they start doing since Treasure is look out for people with visuals and then evaluated, teach and fix all the wrong things. YG never look for faces before (was the only one company known for that) but as they show in the program great stars slipped from theirs hands cuz of the talent they have back then when they auditioned but had an amazing visuals skill. Wendy is the perfect example cuz SM entertainment on the opposite is known for looking beautiful faces, the perfect combination visual+ skills

FYI, Charles. Getting 'scouted' on the street for auditions are very common in South Korea. Big entertainment companies oftenly do that. For instance, SM, has been doing that since a long time. They call it 'street auditions', so it's not just YG who does that kind of thing. This is very common there :)
Its not because of his looks but his overall talent, characteristics and charisma as well. You know yg is all about talent this is just the first time that yg is going for the best looking guys first but of course talent is more important to them. I do get why there are upsetting things like this but thats just the reality of it. Its a competition after all. If you want to become something you have to work really hard to achieve it especially if you're competing with a lot of talented people. You must step up your game and give your all.

MIXNINE is also a survival show by YG with JTBC, catering hundreds of girl and boy trainees from different agencies. There are 3 rep from YG: HYUNSUK, JUNKYU AND BYOUNGGON Ryujin also participated for JYP. But the debut team weren't able to debut due to contract issues between companies.

Actually they're super crackheads ,but their personality doesn't show as much in treasure box. I suggest you to watch treasure map after you finish watch treasure box . Because they're late debut ( actually debut in 2019 but YG had a trouble) so treasure map make them closer and you'll see their personality and being crackheads.

I just wanna say that doyoung was not mocking junkyu, he was just shy because he was the youngest in treasure A,and was just told by his hyungs to comfort junkyu.
No matter what some people might say, YG was voted as the best company by the Ministry Of Labour for a reason, they are treating their employees and idols very well, unlike most of the companies, YG actually takes a small per cent from their money(like 40% SM for example, takes around 80%.) That's why there are many YG's idols on lists of rich idols, there are big idols who are not even on the list because of their companies. Honestly, I don't like big groups because it's hard to concentrate on all of them, that's a thing that I always liked about YG, they didn't have big groups until now, I didn't like the idea when I found out the number of 12 but on the other side, there were many talented trainees in this show... I love how you know and like the soundtrack of this show, you are really a YG's fan:) Hope to see more reactions to this show.

It's great to see that YG has in-house phychologists/counselors to provide regular counseling sessions for the trainees and take care of their mental health.

The whole competition is tense and more tough to watch. They seperated the fun stuffs and personality assessment into different content. So you won't really see their fun sides in the episodes. It's in the behind clips, cctv cams, diary log of members, etc. It's posted in their treasure box channel as well.

Treasure Box highlighted their talents/skills and potentials while Treasure Map (TMAP) showcases their personalities. These kids are really chaotic if you get to know them. I have watched Treasure Map (TMAP) 3x and I still can't get over them.
Treasure Box is a bit serious, as YG is fond of survival shows, he would always make the trainees unleash their potential to the fullest, even if it means enduring pain. In Treasure Box I got to know some of their stories and what they went through, and that made me understand how difficult it is for those chosen members to actually debut and you can see their passion for what they are doing. You'll also see how they grew from Treasure Box to the boys they are now.
They weren't making fun of Junkyu. Junkyu and Doyoung were close friends since younger days but they became Akward around each other. And junkyu wasn't confident anymore so they tried cheering him up after all that happened in Mixnine

TREASURE BOX is their survival show, in here you'll learn about their skills and how TREASURE was formed. This is during year 2018, and the boys are set to debut in 2019 but issues happened in YG that cancelled their debut and when things kinda cleared in 2020 that is when they debuted. That's 2 years after this show. During that 2 years, that's when TREASURE MAP happened wherein you can see how they treat each other and how they grow together while hoping and waiting for their uncertain debut. Imagine the 12 members waited and stayed together for 2 years despite of uncertainties. They stick together, hopeful, and now they are idols.
In summary: TREASURE BOX is the survival show, shows their skills and talents and how they were polished in a competion. Also, shows their friendship towards every trainees.
TREASURE MAP - reality show, this where the chosesn 12 members shows their charms, reality and how they become close to every members. This show is more on fun, and getting to know the personalities of TREASURE members. TMAP happened 1 year after the show ended and it is the show where you can see the process towards their official debut. You are curious if all the members are close to one another bcoz they are a huge group. The answer is YES. All TREASURE members are super close and attach to each other because of TREASURE MAP. Who wouldnt if after the survival show(2018), the official 12 members are together from after Treasure Box(2019) to Treasure Map (January 2020) up to their official debut date (August 7, 2020). Dude can you guys get what I mean? That's fucking 2 years of waiting but they stayed together!

Some of them was too thin, some of them was too short, some of them maybe has different skin color. But they still have good review and pass.
So what is clear in judgement? Their talent. When their sing or dance or rap good, you feel awesome, and they pass. YG always look for the best so they have rank. What they do for the #1 trainee? They give leader position. You'll see and agree with me😁

26:00 they are asking lots of boys and girls in the streets but very few of them actually comes for audition, they eliminate them in auditions or in a few months if they can get in. So out of a hundred people, they are only deciding on 10-15 trainees like you see in Team B. I think that it is harder to be visual member in idol groups because most of them don’t have a proper training before these companies kidnap them so they have to start learning from the beginning and working harder than the talented trainees (you know vocalists and dancers)

Since you mentioned in you wanted to get to know Treasure members personality, here is some perspective from my POV. I personally think the best platform to know Treasure would be Treasure Map - its them familiarizing with cameras around, daily activities as a trainee, some games and all that stuffs. Its a very fun and lighthearted show.
As for Treasure Box, it is a competition show of 28 trainees, so its different from WIN and MIXnMATCH. Being said that the screen time of debuted members were uneven, so you cant really "get to know them". Even YG's personal attachment with the boys were different. Also, they were young and under a lot of pressure during the show (28 people competing for 5-7 spot), so their real personality were not really correctly presented.
I'm glad you watch YGTB as a guide....this is the ulitmate guide and TREASURE MAP

Anyway, just watch this show for fun. The ending of this show doesn't completely make the Treasure right now. So many things happened back then after this show, that caused treasure debut 1 years and half after this show.
And yeah, yedam perform at WIN, so yedam like an artis for all trainees, so my opinion this show more like to find teammates for yedam, because YG and yedam himself want to debut as a group.
What they start doing since Treasure is look out for people with visuals and then evaluated, teach and fix all the wrong things. YG never look for faces before (was the only one company known for that) but as they show in the program great stars slipped from theirs hands cuz of the talent they have back then when they auditioned but had an amazing visuals skill. Wendy is the perfect example cuz SM entertainment on the opposite is known for looking beautiful faces, the perfect combination visual+ skills
So glad u decided to watch this survival show.

I just wanted you to know that before YG never really cared about looks. And the trainee was dropped not bcoz of his visuals, but bcoz he's not improving, as mentioned in their previous assessment. Im glad you finally reacted to this, we Treasure makers, were genuinely happy knowing a yt channel reacted to YGTB bcoz we all know you actually care and want to make an effort to know each boys from Treasure, how they formed, their story, their journey. As a Yg stan, who watched all YG survival shows, this show wont disappoint you like the other past shows youve watched. Superb live performance, showcasing their skills. Urgh, i cried a ton on this show. But yeah, welcome to Treasure world. After this, you gotta watched Treasure map their reality show vlog. Its freaking hilarious.
If u want to see their real personality u better watch Treasure Map because in Treasure Box they really struggle a lot u will only see them crying & workhard to survive and became part of the debut line up.

FYI, Charles. Getting 'scouted' on the street for auditions are very common in South Korea. Big entertainment companies oftenly do that. For instance, SM, has been doing that since a long time. They call it 'street auditions', so it's not just YG who does that kind of thing. This is very common there :)

Its not because of his looks but his overall talent, characteristics and charisma as well. You know yg is all about talent this is just the first time that yg is going for the best looking guys first but of course talent is more important to them. I do get why there are upsetting things like this but thats just the reality of it. Its a competition after all. If you want to become something you have to work really hard to achieve it especially if you're competing with a lot of talented people. You must step up your game and give your all.
