I’ve had mine a few weeks coming from a 340bhp ST mk2.5. Wow, just wow!! I’m over the moon!! Absolutely love it!! For the price of a mk2 focus ST I was able to buy a 2010 510bhp XFR. Unbelievable 👌🥳🙌
After reading so many reviews and watching 100's of videos I went and bought an Jaguar XFR 510 BHP. All I can say is this car is well under appreciated, I have driven M5 also AMG and there are way to many out there on the roads. When I pull up next to one of the M5's or AMG's people look at mine more than the others purely because you will rarely see an XFR drive by. The sound of the car is lovely and the comfort of driving is something else. At the age of 30 I can say this is not an old mans car, I had the same idea once unless now at the age of 30 I am an old man. If anyone is thinking of buying one all I will say is DO IT you will not regret it at all. I will not modify mine because there is no way you will be able to use this kind of power anywhere in london or essex where I am from. Nice video and great review
@@aymansgarage Yeah, I've got a pre-facelift 2011 XFR (a lot more modded than this one) which I bought new and only has 52K miles, and both the pre-facelifted and facelifted were solid.
I've been thinking about some tuning for my XFR but wasn't sure how the chassis would cope with the power. I disagree with the comments about the standard car, before I bought mine I test drove the E63 AMG which was very fast but a but soft and relaxed and the M5 which was infuriating to drive unless youre abusing it, far too harsh. The XFR was somewhere in the middle, great to drive fast and still comfortable to cruise
I own a 'Le Mans' special edition XFR with the factory fitted Quicksilver exhaust and it sounds even better. It Dyno'd at just over 530 BHP at the wheels too after a remap and it's much quicker than my Bentley W12 GT. It's a bit of a Wolf in Sheep's clothing in my opinion.
@@pedazodetorpedo Not quite correct, as I viewed a red XFR Supercharged V8 priced at £10,499 about 3 months ago. It had just under 80k on the clock and was in very good condition. However, the price of secondhand cars has been sky rocketing in the last few months so yes, they are going up in price for a decent example now.
Best bit in mine is the auto adjust steering wheel...you get out it lifts up you get in and it gose down Sorta likes "locks" you into your seat like a f1 car 👍
Very underrated cars love the look and sound of them. I'd love the estate version in blue. I think the problem with them is the image of being old man's car and they are not the most reliable car. Mpg not great either, but it is the one I would chose over the German equivalent.
It's actually more economical than the German equivalent of the same age. Mine gets 6mpg more than my friends E63 AMG and thats a big difference. It's been solidly reliable as well.
I have a last model pre face lift XF and definitely prefer the older lights. The pulsing start button supposedly ( I read ) mirrors the real heart beat of the Jaguar cat. Beautiful cars, mine is a 3.0D S so 600nm torque.
I've got an xjr575 5.0 V8 it's some car I can tell you, you can get the lesser models with good miles really quite cheap I'm very luck to own such a car she goes like a demon 1 of 104 so jaguar tell me the best part is fuel economy motorway it will hit 56mpg and 35mpg around town which is insane for a big V8
@@ST-xm8pw do you own one because I can safely say I do 1 of 104 European units built I can assure you the figures I state there are true what have I got to lie about lol 😆 the only real expensive part about fueling it is if you let it drop below half a tank it will safely do those figures all day long but if you want to punish your wallet and get lead footed then it does get thirsty
The ONLY reason, you "think" the XF-R is great at 609bhp, is because you didn't try the factory 500 bhp first? What a ridiculous claim to make having only driven diesels before. I drove the 500bhp R before deciding on the 3.0 V6 S 340bhp petrol, because the "R" with that V8 noise is a cop magnet. Glad you liked driving a "Real" Jag though, nice job!
Top gear have the standard one a great review- perhaps you should give standard a chance but when it’s that easy to get 600 I can see why you’re grinning like that! Great video- maybe an XFRS next 😂
I had an XF S and I couldn't agree with you more! Serious lag and to top it off at times it would crash and restart itself... It was the biggest let down. Other than that, the car was amazing and everyone and I mean everyone loved it.
Tata jags have less warranty repairs than any other luxury brand just check the figures, and theyll replace everything from door locks to entire drive trains!
I like everything about this car bar the wrap. I love how understated these cars as normally but the wrap makes meit stand out. D Don't get me wrong. Looks like a good job but I like these because people don't think anything of them and are surprised to fuck when you pull away. But the wrap makes it look like it's a fast expensive car. If that's what you want though. Fair enough.
I hate these cars every model ever year the MGBs were junk also but you could ride as long as you had a flat screw driver wire pliers, vise grips, clothes hanger
For such an old body style, these still look pretty good!
As the owner of a modified 2013 XFR, I can definitely verify his excitement is 100% real! This car has absolutely restored my passion for driving.
What MPG can you get on a motorway run Tony? I'm buying one regardless, but commute 50 miles per day on the motorway and high 20s would be a bonus.

stage 1 and it will easily keep up with a bmw e60 m5, very underrated car
It does that without the stage one. More hp and alot more torque.
The XFR is top of my list right now... 10k for a 500bhp lux-o-barge is quite appealing. Cheers for the video, it's helped my research.
None of these available for 10k with reasonable mileage. You're looking at 15k+ which is still a bargain
