    When you wanna speak something out, you almost feel like you jumping into a deep water that you don't know if there are sharks or not. People think that we are emotionless robots but i think it's the opposite, we're hypersensitive especially to negative feedbacks. We THINK about feelings so that makes us fail.

      Feeling about thoughts sounds so weird though. However, in people's private lives this is completely correct but in political or situations where there can be dire consequences for the whole humankind it is extraordinarily dangerous and wrong. Unfortunately feelings have taken over politics and society at large.

    Intp here and I've got the social algorithm down. Took decades of study and now I can do it. I repeat back to them what they are saying. I ask questions. It's all about them. I tell no one the truth, no one anything insightful. No one cares and the swine will reject my pearls. I let people who want insight, truth to come to me. And occasionally they do.

    • @Ichthyodactyl
      @Ichthyodactyl Год назад +7

      @@hx1487 It's going to be situational but, in general, rephrasing something the other person just said back to them serves as a form of affirmation and encourages them to continue to share. Asking questions, especially about topics they have expressed an interest in, is a good way to encourage conversation as well. The more you get THEM to talk, the more opportunity you'll be able to find to share your opinions as well, just be mindful that not everyone is willing or ready to receive an opinion that is contrary to their own. I would say it's safer to get to know someone better before you let them know you, if that makes sense. Let your personality out slowly, in little pieces, rather than all at once.

      As an intp with inferior Fe It’s sort of like we desire to feel a sense of belonging and relationships but executing it and tactfulness and emotional intelligence our brains don’t function that way.
      The thing I notice is that the Ti (individualistic and personalised thinking) is very sensitive to what others think and can be self critical and when trying to use Fe we will often overthink what others are thinking and judge ourselves and hypothesise from another persons perspective what they think about us. And we sort of stop worrying about or our own Ti but someone else’s Ti. As a result, if our conclusion is somewhat negative because intp are good at accepting a truth whether it’s sweet or salty, we will immediately become self critical and there will be this sort of Ti tension from someone else, and because we think about things too deep we forget on the most basic social cues and come off as awkward as start to become socially anxious and Imagine ourselves naked in front of everyone on stage.
      However if the conclusion we jump to by putting our Ti is someone else’s shoes using Fe,
      Then we will be self absorbed and live in the grandiose delusion that everyone thinks highly of us and adores us
      That’s why we have inferior Fe

      I’m also learning that truth is always expanding and contextual. So to come across like I have the absolute truth is not helpful to me or anyone else. However there are some things that we can have intellectual authority on when we’ve complied sufficient evidence through research and experience. Still delivery matters a lot.

    It can get very confusing when you observe those around you who seem to connect talking in a way that seems 'unimportant', and people sharing 'feelings' and giving extended versions of their experiences. Whilst I would listen attentively, I couldn't really connect because I mostly observed trying to figure them out and by the time I understood, I moved way passed the patience of listening attentively.
    It's forever a feeling of not knowing and trying to find your place in a world that doesn't quite make sense in a way that feels like it hits the spot.
    Fe to me is quite amazing, it's this ability to temporarily attach to someone like velcro, and absorb their feelings/communication, and then it diminishes when you move physically away from them. But you are left to analyse what was communicated.

    I would say that appropriate word choice and clear definitions are an attempt at real communication, since we can't just directly transmit our thought to each others brains, we must fit often complex or nuanced concepts into language which often has different meaning to each person. Unfortunately, I have found even with the aforementioned care, misunderstanding seems all too common and attempts to clarify tend to end in people looking at you like you are crazy or stupid, and then followed by regret for talking to them in the first place.

    Perfect Analogy! A major struggle of mine is almost always needing to take things apart in my head rather than just judging impartially, and nowhere is this more of an issue than with social interaction. I tend towards understanding every action as having an appropriate reaction, and so when social conventions tend to bypass those "laws" for the sake of niceties, I just end up feeling left out and insecure. It was a lot worse for me when I was younger; I used to think I had Fe higher in my stack because it was such a gigantic insecurity constantly on my mind (tbh I'm still highly anxious, I'm just better at masking), but I'm working on getting to a point where my Ti rationality doesn't feel like it clashes with Fe empiricism.

    I find a similar experience with Fi vs TE as an ISFP. I have had to learn to bite my tongue when listening to people tell stories because I will automatically want to point out whether what they did is right or wrong in the moral sense. Essentially, it matters less about whether they "could" do something (within the law or employee handbook) and more about whether they "should."

    In a social context, I think of Fe as the storefront - the door to what we can share. If we work on that door, that accessibility, more people will want to come in and inquire. It's not that we have to go out and find all the people to tell all the truths; an inviting storefront with clear indicators of what we "sell" will be enough in most situations.

    The part about telling and receiving the truth resonates with me a lot.. I can’t count how many times people just told me - “you’re not supposed to always tell truth” .. And I was like: “how on Earth is it the case that you’re not supposed to tell the truth!?” My argument was always - when you don’t tell the truth doesn’t make it disappear or stop being truth. Well, people just replied that I didn’t get it

  • @IntrovertSmiley
    @IntrovertSmiley 2 года назад +8

    I’m in the group that dislikes the use of the word truth. Mostly because it has far too many different meanings based on context. Mostly it has a potential for a moral question (truth vs lies), also it has the difference of outputting a person’s “truth” which could also mean an opinion. And lastly would be the idea of seeking truth vs being a source of truth. So overall I think that word is a bit iffy unless it is fully understood by everyone on what is meant in that moment.
    In terms of truth related to Ti, I think it makes sense for it to work as “truth seeking”, meaning aiming to remain unbiased in order to fully understand all aspects of whatever is being analyzed without judgement. And maybe “truth“ if it was to be defined as aiming for clear logical consistency, where logical consistency refers to accuracy in outputs (written words, speech, and diagrams). Needed to define logical consistency since to some it might also mean moral consistency/opinion that is backed by physical proof (logical reasoning where logical means common sense in this specific example), which I think would not be accurate for Ti.
    Just my thoughts currently.

    Ah, yes, compelled to tell the truth. But then it's often too compound, complicated and detailed for most people to want listen to the end and your mind scrambles to come up with the shortest, but still most accurate version possible and end up wasting more time trying to boil it down to one sentence than just spilling everything like a broken tap, all the while you look like a statue frozen in horror.
    Most of the time I'd like to just do the thing without bothering with words, but that's not always possible as people get in the way when they don't understand your intention because you've been unable to voice it.
    It can be something as simple as, "are you done using the microwave?"
    and I'll spiral into, 'I need to warm up two things and I'm done with the first and am not sure how long it'll take to prepare the second thing, so they could theoretically use it now, but their thing will take several minutes to heat and I need my two things served at the same time, but the break in between will cool down my first thing that's already been heated. So I am technically done, but not entirely done, and saying that is gonna be confusing and require an even bigger explanation which...' and so on.
    The simple answer is, "no, I'm not done," but it's not the whole truth🤷🏻‍♀️
    And that causes internal problems.
    Haah...😅
    For the longest time I believed I was Fi at the top, but I'm starting to lean more towards Ti, or bottom Fe.
    Edit: After finishing the video I'm even more ready to accept that I am indeed Ti at the top, because that described me in a nutshell😆
    Need for accurate wording,
    Ti truth vs Fe acceptance,
    Feeling guilty whenever putting Fe above Ti
    Hm, yeah, seems to check out.

Now I think I'm pretty good at knowing when someone doesn't want to hear my truth or figuring out how to present it in a neutral way that doesn't upset them (at least in person). I'm better one on one with people, but when its a generalized social situation with a "right," answer with no single person giving you direct feedback I just stay quiet. With all very due respect, Joyce, because you very much deserve respect indeed; but Thinking is the search for truth. Truth isn’t an emotional construct and it isn’t a personal thing. If truth was merely subjective, then you couldn’t even begin to create a personality/cognitive abstract or model in the first place. The purpose of any model is to create a virtual environment in order to glean the Truth from reality. The model is a hack, a method of building something from the bottom up and making comparisons with reality and fine-tuning the model until it is a replica of reality with explanations and instructions and bullet points on how that aspect of reality works. It is not that emotions are not important - but there is no such thing as “my truth”. Regardless of type, that is a delusion that we should, frankly, instruct the populace to throw into a burn pit. It is not okay that society has chosen to function PRIMARILY on subjective values. There needs to be an acceptance of at least a few OBJECTIVE FACTS. Whether they are first determined by the subjective and then cross-referenced with a group of people dedicated to the truth or it is derived from one source, it doesn’t matter. The truth is all that matters in order for people to actually have the freedom to Fe WITH AUTHENTICITY is the acknowledgement of the truth?
    Then Fe doesn’t have to be stressed out about being a liar or inauthentic… it can just love people with that love they need and bypass silly and unnecessary judgements - and, especially not bully, misrepresent, or put down those who are genuine for the sake of the people who aren’t genuine. Fe lead, without any respect for Ti, becomes a flying monkey on behalf of the liars (in groups). So, those who focus on truth get DESTROYED while Fe believes it is taking care of people; but is taking care of the evil person at the expense of the good person right? YES, sometimes it is… but this should be navigated with more balance than is performed. People need the freedom to speak THE TRUTH so that those who only believe in their own truth can face reality and everybody can be standing on the same solid ground. Then it’s a fair game.

    I think most individuals mistype as an INTP because of personality disorders and insecurities. It could also be a cop out to call themselves an INTP so they have a reason to feel better about the weaknesses they perceive of themselves. The INTP is most likely to be curious about the workings of the mind, and also the type that may have the hardest time finding their place in the world. For this reason, people who may feel lost or curious of the mind relate to INTPs and believe they are one. This can be dangerous if you cast a false narrative on yourself, when in fact, your cognitive stack doesn't align with your narrative.

  • @jorhanfabriano6303
    @jorhanfabriano6303 2 года назад +5

    I think that INTP's quest for the truth is not for the truth's sake as anyone would assume but for Power and Freedom.
    The more knowledge an INTP gathers, the more he can decide for himself how to live his life (Fe inferior).
    By Weaponizing Knowledge, Following orders (Si) or Breaking the rules (Ne) becomes a conscious choice (Ti).
    Indeed, The Truth shall set you free .
    Note : This is why critical thinkers (or Fi users) are both feared and respected by the top dogs (Te/Fe users) because it is hard to control someone who thinks for himself.
