As Vladimir Adityanath has put it brilliantly, all the Meiteis aren't Hindu. Due to this sense of otherness and exclusive viewpoint, even the staunch Vaisnavite Hindus are being threatened.
As I have said in many SM, if not expressly stated the actions of some of the central forces doesn't seem to be impartial. In fact even some retired bigwigs are found openly siding with one side.
The other side is the plain people who even treated like tribals in every big cities are facing against the wall. They are paying all the taxes like IT, property tax, land tax and fighting with the 140 crores for any job. Even so, they are blatantly blamed as if their welfare measures are being forfeited by the Meiteis. But the Meiteis cannot fight back else SC/ST act applies to them.
Also, almost the whole of northeast is inhabited by tribals except Assam ( altogether different ballgame for Assam due to vast population, industrialisation and above all they aren't looked separately by the rest of India). The case of Manipuri Meiteis is very peculiar, only 16-17 lakhs in the central plain of approx 700 sq kms surrounded by approx one crore tribals in all sides.
This aspect is never ever considered in the mainstream media nor the big wigs. Even the big babus who are posted here seldom connected with the locals, they always think like enjoy the good weather and perks of northeast until end of tenure, nothing more.
These are some of valid arguments but there are endless other aspects.

Looks like there are lapses from Indian govt think tank without realizing the double game played by kuki for making a Christian country with help of US or UK or the Indian govt knowingly supported the kukis militants just to flush the Meitei and Naga militants which went wrong way instead of the perceived outcome. Though we dont want insurgents anymore as they were in cohorts with the politicians.
The biggest conspiracy hatched by GOI within state is Meiteis were not able to move in national highway despite huge indian military deployment.
Had this problem been avoided people wouldn't have suspicion on GOI. Such acts have clearly shown the involvement of indian govt in the current conflict .
If one also looks the other way round taking in good stride imagining PM trying to awake the Meiteis from deep slumber sleep also seems unplausible as center had neglected Manipur and NE since merging with India by keeping puppet politicians. However one cannot ignore to say that the current govt at center and state is taking good initiatives for the development of infrastructures in the region. But prolonging the situation have awaken people which no one has ever thought about on how kukis agenda was carriying out insidiously with the help of AR or Army with sole aim to flush out militancy since 80s.

Kukis have achieved what British couldn't achieved by converting poor Meiteis families in the valley area. These Meitei families started believing that to support their kids in education its better to convert where missionaries will take care of their future in completing education and getting jobs with quota. Thats how they got trapped.
When Pettigrew came to valley people were immune to conversion being Hindu however with the poor socio economic conditions of current scenario kukis have exploited to their advantage.
