Those movies scared the living shit outta me as a kid, but watching it as an adult you see a realistic depiction of a zombie invasion. I liked the scene where blood falls in the dudes eye and he turns in a matter of minutes that was an inventive way of turning into a zombie

Such a good song! All the remixes of it back in the day were awesome. Maybe someone can make a 28 Months Later fan project.
They wanted it to be called 28 Months Later but because the producers thought that the title would just not roll well due to the nearly 2 decade long gap they changed it to 28 Years Later.

Thank you Grub! The first one was a genre defining zombie flick from 2002 and it won the hearts of many back then.
At least check out 28 days later, the quality is a little low but the movie is great

With a new trilogy they could actually visit some neat ideas. The sequel to 28 Years Later could maybe show the devastation of mainland Europe following 28 Weeks Later. The third movie could be a prequel to all the previous titles, explore the first days of the outbreak, that is what i would love to see.
I think Garland might retcon the entire plot of 28 Weeks Later and only build upon the events of the 28 Days Later.
Since the three actors cast so far are all English, I think that could point to the first sequel being set in Britain. If so, it would be interesting to see how Britain looks 28 years after the outbreak began. Maybe Britain is ironically safer than the rest of the world by that point.
@@Gage-yu9ch actually Britain might be indeed safer concidering the rest of the world is in the process of destruction while the Rage Virus already took care of Britain a long time ago
Hopefully something cool comes from it. Seeing the outbreak handled in different ways in different places could interesting.

It would be nice, if the sequels after 28 years are prequels, showing the outbreak after the guys trying to help the infected monkeys in the first film. 28 seconds later or minutes later. Showing how society falls and the rage virus spreads all over England. No movie (except world war z doing it a little bit) has done this before, showing the outbreak. This would be really intense. I am waiting for movies like this, since i was a kid.

Finally someone with the answers! I plan to watch the movie again. Shame we never got that 28 Months Later in Paris. Wonder if they plan to start there.

Not only is it too late, but also, from a logical perspective, most zombies would have decomposed by now. This could make the rebuilding of civilization possible, albeit not in its former glory.
Yeah this feels weird. I can only imagine what the plot is going to be. Maybe it happens again current day? Plus 28 years after the first movie in 2002 would be 2030. Maybe that when the 3rd installment in the trilogy comes out?
The “zombies” in the 28 films aren’t undead corpses, they just have a “rage” virus.

@voidboi0 The first two movies were good, but today a lot of movies and even sequels they've made in this day and age have been absolutely sh*te Dude, I'm just worried they are gonna mess it all up by adding a crap load of bad cgi and bad acting and badly written script ☹️
@@AngryVikingBiker I totally feel you. I have come to hate remakes and CGI. I hold practical effects in much higher regard. CGI is too often used in lazy, unconvincing ways. I honestly have no clue how a story like this could continue after 28 years.
