#1 way to improve your coffee is to clean your equipment. Always start with equipment in "like new" condition for cleanliness and operation. Your list is great!
Thanks Spencer!! I think that is one of the biggest issues people have. It is surprising how many people I speak to that do not have a cleaning schedule for there machines. Pretty crazy! Thanks so much for watching my friend!
I do Intermittent fasting every day and first coffee of the day taste glorious!Once I had 3 days fast and coffee tasted so good that I suddenly started to laugh, that much taste buds went crazy!Seriously !
Hey buddy! We been good. Just found out we having another one this year and been working on a school curriculum for the older ones. That’s had me diving down the philosophy trail. Also, thinking about creating a second channel on the stoics/improvement/independent thought type content. Going back and forth whether to do it all on one channel or create another channel dedicated to it. It would obviously be more political and I want to keep the coffee more coffee related. Anyway, sorry to unload on ya. We doing good, just kind of at a crossroads in what direction I want to take it. Hope all has been well for you and I truly hope you have a blessed year!
I'd have to say it's the ratio, closely followed by the water quality. Assuming that you have good fresh beans of course. I recently got some green beans from Brazil and I gotta tell ya, I'm loving it! Looking forward to trying some new, different origins. Great video as always Rob, thanks!
Being from south Louisiana I always had community coffee. It was the standard. Now that I’m reaching out to try other coffees, Ive learned there are so many different coffee experiences!
Yes indeed! Community has there specialty shop City Roots on Government that is pretty good! Tons of new coffee places popping up. Thanks so much for watching buddy!
Hi Rob, great segment!.. Im like you, enjoy exploring Coffee, good water and ratio for the java im into for the week or month then Im on the hunt for another taste. Personally would like to get off light cream, drink it black, still seeking a roast that naturally has a touch of sweetness, I also add vanilla extract or other flavors to it But im still looking for the bean to have a light sweet taste. Keep up good work! Dave C Portland, ME.
The Ratio is definitely important. Good thought having to adjust it depending on roaster and coffee type. Def agree with that. Thanks so much for watching my friend!
Good to see another video from you, sir! I just got myself a Hottop. Trying to get comfortable with Artisan software! First batch was small [maybe less than 90 g]. A bunch of beans never came out of the drum at DROP. Anyway, I'll keep looking for your vids!! Thanks.
Another great video. Aside from the coffee you're using water has to be the number 1 factor to a great coffee experience. Pond water will kill even Maxwell house no matter how much coffee you put in the filter. 😅 Just my experience from traveling. Some stops had great coffee others didn't. Could always tell just sipping some water from the water glass on the water quality.
My local roaster has coffee from all around the world (India/Kenia/Peru/Rwanda/Brasil and many more), never had a coffee I didn't like. Good quality beans and a good roaster makes all the difference. Roasting date should be on the package, you really don't want coffee that was sitting halv a year on the shelf.

Great video! Grinder, definitely the grinder is the most important factor. Grind size and consistency.
Yo Rob! Haven’t scene much in the way of content and wanted to check in and make sure you and your family are good. Thanks for all the great content

For water chemistry I highly recommend checking out Jonathan Gagnes post on coffee ad astra about it.
Def going to check that out! Thanks for recommending!

Definitely the ratio. If a person buys from multiple roasters, they're going to have to brew once or twice depending on their own preference. 👍

What do you think is the biggest factor in the taste of your coffee? Let me know below!
