It also was a huge reason I ultimately ended up drawing and pursuing art and illustration - plus the theme song still kicks hard. I wish there were more shows like this, the artstyle, characters and stories were stellar, especially for a kids show (at least compared to the other shows it was airing with at the time)

These series had funny moments most of the time, and then it hit you with something like the scene between Gwizdo and Lian Chu, when they're in the frozen lands, talking about family and a home when we know they're both orphans. Those type of scenes hit hard, and are the ones that stayed with me.
I watched many of my childhood cartoons in German dub. Almost 99 percent of the time they changed the intros and replaced them with German versions. They were pretty good at it actually. This one is the only one I remember which they didn’t touch. Years later I realised this, of course. That they probably figured they wouldn’t be able to even remotely match the work. The cure did such a fantastic work that even the German telly didn’t dare messing with it haha
Maybe it got flagged (or the creator put it) as "video for Kids" so commenting was banned and all the old comment were gone with it :( When such things happen there's always a piece of my heart that breaks because all the stories people told here in comments about it are now unrecoverable and gone...
Dude the episode with the living island stuck with me for so long... I remember being terrified of the trees with eyes, and especially the mouth. The whole concept just blew my mind. I rediscovered the show recently and it's still as freaky to me now as it was then. It's great inspiration for poetry, ngl :) I miss this show so much...
For me it's the episode where Lian Chu had to face the dragon that burnt down his village. It showed the show can be serious when it wanted to plus Lian Chu was my favorite character on the show.
I clearly remember the episode with the black dragon that turns out to be able to talk, and tells him that unless he can find a reason for why he hunts dragons, It will always come back. It's a question we've all had at one point or another; "why? Why do I do what I do?"
For me it was one of the last episodes where the ghost of the dragon they made a soup out of started haunting the place and spoke through Hector in that scary ass voice And we all miss it...
This series at least shouldn't have been forgotten by its creators, I can't even find it on the internet no matter how much I search, it's sad because I feel like I forget those good moments from when I was a child.

This was my childhood . I love Dragon hunters so much . To this day i still own some of the dragon action figures. This theme song alone shows how awesome the show really is . Also love all the different kinds of dragons and how a lot look so unique.

Dragon hunters isnone of my favorite movies growing up, I remember finding the show and being excited there was even more of it, this song has veen trapped in my head for years, so good to find it again

I just remembered a few days ago that this show existed and just watch the episodes on RUclips whenever I'm bored. It's actually still kinda fun to watch. This show is now like 17 years old. I remember I had a figure of the pig-like dragon with the fart propulsion when I was a kid.

From mexico, this was an amazing tv show they used to broadcast it in 2011-2013 on channel eleven. Such good memories i have from that show.
