Yea Home and i, hold both for 5 seconds, light turns green then Power, back and finally volume down. All lights should stay green while going thru the buttons. If red then your remote has a different code
For anyone else wondering, you can’t pair more than one remote at a time. I got an extra remote and was going to pair it as well since remotes seem to often get misplaced lol. I got the Xfinity TV Remote app on my iPhone though.
As of October 2023, the Xfinity support site instructions say: Simultaneously press and hold the i button and the Home button [house icon] until the status light on the remote blinks. This takes about 5 seconds. Press Power, then Last (

Did you watch both of my videos on how to reset it? If so, I recommend going to the website on the back of the remote. Also you could try to take the batteries out wait 30 seconds and then put them back in and try to reset it again.
Your RUclips short and your normal RUclips videos CONTRADICTORY because here you said "Volume - down, then press "BACK" button. But previously (5 yrs ago), you said vice versa. Its misleading pls, fix it

Resets the remote just fine but still can't connect. I only wanted volume control but after reset I can't control anything. Threw the whole flex box away and will just continue using my chrome cast. Lmao

It won’t work! This stupid thing is GARBAGE! I get into the reset mode and the light gives a green flash each time I hit the three buttons in sequence, but NOTHING HAPPENS! My kids have kept taking off with our old cable remotes that we’ve hoarded since eschewing cable for the flex boxes, and Al three have now been lost for weeks, with only this useless XF16 left that won’t connect to ANY of the Flex Boxes! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
For me it was Power, Back and then Volume down for the XR16
