Looks cool as hell, but way overpriced for what you actually get with it. I've seen backyard joe builds a million times better on a fraction of that budget.
That mech suit is a collectors piece not a toy. Mezco doesn't make toys just like Mafex figures aren't toys. Valaverse figures are toys, like Joe Classified and Masterverse and McFarlane figs, all toys. Mezco isn't in competition with toy makers. That's why his items sell out on pre-order. Mezco has its own lane.
The Mezco mech suit , Gomez is a great item which is loaded with accessories and a stand which will facilitate the fig in a flight position. Being able to display my collection at multiple levels allows me to maximize limited shelf space. With taxes and shipping, the grand total was $648 Cdn. I purchased this in July 2024 . Today I bought one of the pink Valaverse brigade trooper for $49.99, before tax . With shipping and taxes it will cost me over $75. (And I can’t wait, your toy line is awesome). It is my opinion that the value of your product is on par with Mezco.
Honestly picking up a budget toy then modifying it and painting it seems way more fun than dropping 400 on a nice figure than you pose for 30 mins and then put it on a shelf. Its cool that you show off budget stuff thats great value for kids btw
Those $30 Mechs from BJs would be a great hobby project to sand, paint, and modify. Near perfect base to start with makes it all so much easier to learn.
That’s like comparing Gordon Ramsey to Applebees. The price you should expect MORE! That’s kinda why it’s priced that way. So why compare $30 figures to the $400 figures?
Bruh! As soon as he said he wasn't going to open that $30 set, I had to come down here and complain. I am way more interested in that than the Mexico which has already been reviewed.
@richardmiller1345 I was thinking that, and 3d printing extra parts, finding a way to make them more articulate, and repainting. Maybe throwing in some joes, and marauder gun runners. Think they're the right scale for that
You should check out the JoyToy 1:18 scale mech suits like the Dark Source Xingtian or the Battle for the Stars North 09 Strike Attack Mecha. More than half the price, great range of motion. I know its a smaller scale, but great range to get inspiration.
It’s like I’m living in crazy world watching this guy criticizing the minute elbow issue and saying if he played with the toy in pre production that never would have happened…… bro is this the same guy that released that vanguard with issues that where so annoying and easily fixed with like five minutes of play that he had to ship out a free piece to allow the guns to move.
I can’t get over him complaining out the legs not extending out.. this mech suit does not look like the type to be doing that range of motion. This looks like a mech suit that is more tanky. He should’ve picked a different mech to buy for $400 and this practically of how the articulation would happen.
@ this video is just an excuse for him to make bad decisions on his next venture. If you failed so spectacularly like he did with the turret SUV from “rezvani” (more like whocarezi) then you should not be making a video criticizing another company’s minor mistakes.
When it came out I saw it as a $200 - $230 mech suit and I really didn't think it was worth it...I was only interested in the Gomez figure because it looked like Mork...I even was going to buy it with a friend that only wanted the mech suit...Thankfully they came out with the Gomez Cadet without the Mech Suit...I had a little bit of remorse for. It buying it. And now I really want to thank you for doing this video! No more regret in my mind and heart! It really seema too much money for what it is. Again GREAT VIDEO!!!
Maybe don’t use Mezco as a frame of reference for mech figures? Such a weird decision. Regardless, this guy honestly sounded like he didn’t want to like it to begin with. The set was sold on their site for $350, and it comes with a fully accessorized Gomez. Mezco figures nowadays typically go for about $100, so we’re looking at a massive Mezco mech that costs around $250. That price may still understandably be a bit too high for some (I think $200 is good price) but it’s a far better number to appraise the figure by. Bearing all that in mind, it’s not terribly overpriced for what you get. It likely doesn’t do leg splits (why does it need to split?) for stability reasons, which is smart for such a top heavy figure. Maybe ratchet joints could’ve helped, but those do wear over time. The wrists are a legitimate design issue. I’d expect full rotation for posing. But besides that, he barely explored what this set offered. We didn’t get to see what the lights and sounds were like, and he didn’t even sit the Gomez in the seat to see if he fits well or not. So yeah, not a very good overview of the set. This seemed misguided from the get go with unrealistic expectations based on evaluating the mech exclusively at $400, rather than the full set as such. You shouldn’t be expecting “the pinnacle of mech toys” from Mezco, rather you should expect a cool Mezco styled mech that complements the Gomez pilot and fits in with the rest of the line. If you want the pinnacle of mech toys, buy a Joytoy mech, they’re awesome. Funny enough, some of those are almost $200 and aren’t even 1/12 scale.
Comparing prices in the toy community seems pretty senseless. It’s called supply and demand for a reason. Items speak to individual consumers differently and that is what makes this community fun. This isn’t really something you play with. Valaverse action figures are entirely different. This MECH is a display center piece that happens to have limited posing and display options. I’m not going to defend the $400 price, but if you have the means, get what you love!
I think that's a good point. It's sort of like...should you do a $400 mech suit VS could you do a $400 mech suit? Will people buy from one brand what they would buy from another brand? For me, very few things I've seen from Valaverse really appeal to me visually. I wouldn't spend the money on a superior and cheaper Valaverse mech unless it did, even if it could do splits. But I wouldn't knock anyone who did!
Bro literally says I wish we could get "B" roll of the inside, and the genius that shoots the video decides not to shoot the inside. You had one job guy. Great job.... don't tell me this is the same guy who shoots for toy federation.
I got this for my nephew on Christmas. He is just turning 9. This was his favorite toy from Christmas. He really loves this set. And I really love it too. We had such a good time playing mechs on Xmas morning.
Hey, Bobby! Please do a video on Gridiron Studios $150 3D-printed mech additions to the GI Joe Classified Trouble Bubble! The attachments convert the Bubble into a walking two-seater mech! It's amazing!
Mech-Suits can be so cool looking Design-wise! I would love to see a mix between IBO Gundam, MetalGearsolid Rex and pacific Rim...with a big Dragonslayer and a Huge Gatling Gun!
Time: about 4 minutes. Very useful tidbit of information about the reasons for differentces in costs and how things are moved (sold). It's always fun getting some new ideas or concepts to look into whne trying to understand hwo things work in the world.
Some recommendations for anyone passing by: -Rihio Multiabyss: cheap with good articulation and 1/60 pilots. -Snap Ships Maul: super cheap buildable mech. I rebuilt mine to resemble a cougar from Mechwarrior. -Full Mechanics Kenbu: you really can't go wrong with almost any Bandai kit, but so far this one's my favorite. -Joyride Mechwarrior: A very niche line. Not amazing by modern standards, but I love their look. I believe they retailed for $10 back in the day.
If anyone wants some cool mecha designs I recommend checking out 30 minute missions model kits. Yes it will require tools and building but cheap nippers are enough and this line is meant to be beginner friendly and quick builds.
My ideal mech: no lights. Great articulation. Must include a big knife with a place to sheath it. Multiple ports to add weapons. Then make a weapons pack for the mech. I'd like it taller then the mezco mech.
I've never spent $400 on a toy/collectible, and I never will. I have seen this mech suit in person when a friend bought it. It's very very nice looking, and the lights are a great feature. I'd love someone to make something better that was more affordable.....DO IT!!!!
just copy the exo squad toys and make it integrated with the action figure, the legs go into the legs, the arms go into the arms, everyone just makes a canopy cockpit where the dude just sits there
The members mark is Sam's club. I bought a slightly different version of the cheap mech and modded it to have better articulation and it is good for classified figures and maybe valaverse if you mod the interior.
I understand your complaints here, but I really like it. It's not really $400 either you have to minus the cost of the figure. $400 for the complete package isn't terrible imo..
Watched 3 different people review 3 different mechs. All with lights and sounds but none show the lights and sounds. Nothing i collect has lights and sounds but i feel if it has it you should show it.
It might be really hard to track down, but if anyone's in the market for a mech and has the cash to drop, try and find the Armarauders Bellerophon, it is probably the most absurdly well made mech suit I've seen on offer. One of my biggest regrets was not getting it when it was initially sold, the thing's amazing. It's 1/24 scale (I think) which might be a dealbreaker for some, but the level of detail they managed to give it is insane.
Gimmicks that I love on action figures: Flip out panels with a gun or small vehicle Rotating stuff like a minigun barrel (simple) Spring loaded missile (old school, still love it) Flip on battle mask Storage panels for guns or mini figures Flip out sword or large knife
This mech suit is cool but not $400 cool. It is a great piece for Mezco and would be exactly what I would expect from Mezco. They are not toys in the same play style of Marvel Legends or GI Joe. If I had Mezco figures, I would be afraid to play with them. They would get an occasional pose on the shelf and be left alone. They look beautiful, come with tons of accessories, and soft goods that make them what they are. But would I let my kids play with them? Hell no! I would let them play with a $20-40 figure So this mech is not for people like me, at least not yet.
I'd definitely go for the first Mech set for bang for the buck. The Mezco mech doesn't seem worth the price. Also, it reminds me of the one in "Atlas" the Netflix film with Jennifer Lopez. (PS. I worked on ExoSquad, so it warms my heart to hear you mention it. Keep trying for the license) :)
So I picked one up some 6 months after release for cost plus ship, and I was impressed. It’s definitely premium, with a few design flaws. While waiting for a deal on that piece I was gifted a transformers Titan class Ark in disrepair I modded into a mech and I picked up the not official dbz red belt robot as well, you might check those figures out as well as 3A in your quest. Thanks for having me. Same name, same pic. Cheers.
Stop teasing us Boby. You know and we know that Mech suits are coming to the Action Force Universe and I cant fing wait. So if you want to send me a tester prototype suit to put through the paces Ill be more than happy and willing to do that for you 😂 but for real Mech Suits will be an awesome thing for Action Force. Im actually really happy you are being critical of this Suit it shows how much you care about this and we know that your Mech Suits is going to be Fing awesome
I’ve seen some things online from Joytoy that really peak my interest. I’ve never had one in hand. But the amount of detail, quality paint, figures & accessories, size and very reasonable prices have certainly got my attention.
Appreciate the vid. I would prefer no lights and sounds, no figure included, whatever keeps the price down. I honestly even feel people can deco their own mech: dry brushing silver and doing washes is easy. That’s my opinion.
I suggest getting Landbreaker. The cube mech ( Amazon $50) It’s 2 mechs that combine and the posebility is nice. Has ankle tilts and can do the full VanDamme It also has 2 cockpits
I've been waiting for you to do another video in this series. There's a mech you need to look into that's 1/12 scale for 140$ US called "Elements war Type 30 mecha" its definitely something you need to look at if you're considering spending capital to make something for your figure line. it fits almost any 6" figure and i think that'll make it a good competitor. Having a more generic mech would increase usability, allowing people to use it for whatever they want if not for G.I. joe.
Tbh if you want to have reasonably priced, huge and cool mech suit, go for Kotobukiya's plastic model. It's a set of a few smaller sets that in the end combines in a mech suit for 7 inch figures. GIGANTIC ARMS STRIKE SERPENT (x2) GIGANTIC ARMS ORBITAL MANEUVER (x2) GIGANTIC ARMS ORDER CRADLE HEAVY WEAPON UNIT16 OVERED MANIPULATOR (x2) For official retail price it'll end up in... 33500 JPY withut taxes and shipping. And it's pretty heavy so it needs an action base.
You should looknat the Joy Toy 1/25 and 1/18 mechs. The main ones are 1/25 scale but Joy Toy have been making themnfor years. They probably have about 50 with different varients and colors. Very modular so you can mix and match whatever you want. Plents of detail and paint and weathering. The early ones wer brittle and cheap but the knes made over the last few years have made well and they are in the $80 to $150 range.
The two mech sets with a little bit of custom would be collector's items! XD And even if you put in the effort to customize them, I don't think you'd spend $400!!! And if you did spend that amount... It's two Mech Suits!!! O.O
I like the ideas of smaller powered exoskeletal frames for more mobility as well as large piloted mechs that are walking armories, perhaps they could even be like a 2-in-1 design
To me the best comparison to look at, while not a mechsuit, is probably the large Transformers in the $200 range. Scorponok, Fortresses Maximus, Metroplex, ect. Not because of that price, but because of size, detail, and articulation. They have what you need, and are more likely larger than needed if anything. In place of the articulation, and parts for their transforming function, a cockpit seems like it would be a morebthan comparable trade-off design and production wise. And you could probably look at the Transformes a step down from those, like Jetfire for concepts for small mech suits.
I 100% agree with you on the stands, they are waaay to big. For the size and the price of these figures you should get a little dio. If not then do a smaller stand
The problem with lights and sounds for adult collectibles is we will try them on the day we unbox them. Then, because we display this stuff we will either pull the batteries, and lose them for 10+ years. Or we forget, leave the batteries in, and they will corrode before we ever use them again. And half this stuff uses batteries you need to special order from someplace. I just got the Mezco Theodore Sodcutter figure. He has light up eyes and a really cool Lantern. They use these teeny tiny batteries that I’ve never seen before. I’m sure they will last for 1 photo session.
All I know is, when I get the Action Force Mech in my hands, Gemini is piloting it. She never received a weapons expansion pack. Justice for Gemini! I hope the first AF Mech is designed to savage ground troops and maybe the Vanguard. The second Mech should be a response, built to take the first one out in a mech armor escalation theme.
Great vid. I think if you did make one, it could be modular, pieces or weapon pods can be taken on and off, have small arms storage that can be used for the pilots or others to equip. Or, it could be like the RX-78 Ground-type Gundam, it carries a weapons/storage backpack/booster, you could have something like that. You could incorporate small handholds/footholds on it back where one or two soldiers could hitch a ride hahaha.
When I first saw this mech I thought I looks cool and I can tell that Mezco put a lot of effort into it but it’s not going to please everyone and I can see that’s hard to do. What they need is the Bobby Valla review before release because he knows what the public will like, like the side kick.I know I want my mech to do side kicks…
These are Chap Mei toys. Always good for the price. The upgrade possibilities for those 30 buck mechs is endless,. I've got the red one with a robot guy, it's a great blank pallet to start with. Mine was 15.00.
Started watching this earlier and then went into Dollar General, and they're selling the Member's Mark mechs individually with a figure and some accessories for 15 bucks under their own branding.
That's crazy, we don't get action figures like that in The Netherlands. We only have Chap Mei but they have cool military vehicles for a decent price. All my 3.75 inch GI Joe's are riding Chap Mei vehicles, if you want a GI Joe Tomcat you can shelve out 300 dollars, or get the Chap Mei one for 40 dollars in store right here in the city where I live in Holland. I aint getting the Hasbro one.
More joints on a big mech that's heavy like that, will cause it to be unstable. even as is all the joints are moving around. Rumble Society is not for fun play times on the floor, they are collector items, you take them off the shelf and look at them and then put them back up. For my 400 dollars id want paint like what ThreeA did, beautifully hand painted works of art, a more sturdy build, if that meant removal of some of the joints then id be fine with it. And definitely some head lights on it. I do agree on the wrist movement.
As far as the Mezco mech goes... at first glance it looks like a disembodied cyborg/robot head (Overwatch Genji?). I don't understand the possible advantage of battle mechs when the cockpit/main body are larger than the limbs. While it would be important to protect the pilot, having a mech that is just too large overall that sacrifices mobility is simply ridiculous. It seems very counter-productive to have a mech that encumbrance outweighs the mobility in combat. It sounds like you want something between the armed exosuits in "Edge of Tomorrow", Landmates of "Appleseed", or the arm suits of "Ghost in the Shell". I appreciate your sharing the various mechs you have covered. Very cool. Have you ever watched the 1990 movie Robot Jox? It's a fun older movie with larger single operator mechs.
I gotta be honest, I dont follow you or collect Valaverse although the figures are great! I do understand your background in toy design and truly value your opinion. So totally appreciate this review and immediately cancelled my order!!!!! HAHAHA!! Thank you for saving me the money and I started following you. Next will be collecting! Hahaha
I collect 3.25" - 4" action figures like Fortnite, SW, Epic, etc. They are well detailed, good articulation, and leave a lot of room for bigger props and monsters. You should start a line that size and create your mech suits for them. Also vehicles, etc.
I have many thoughts on this First off I would prefer a core mech that we can buy arms and legs that suit our design choices. (Look at armored core series ) Lights :OK SOUNDS : Meh Lights in the cockpit are fine, and individual parts like guns swords can have lights, but don’t make them connected internally. Nothing is worse than a bunch of internal wires. I’d love mechs that are more like motu origins pop and swap
That halo 3” mech that ninja recommended is better articulated than that mezco mech and that was at 80 retail, on sale was under 40, but please Bobby we need an aerial team carrier *cough* MH-6 little bird *cough* 🙏🏽
Lights and sounds make it feel like a premium item if done right but honestly sounds are much less important than the lights. I’d cut those. It doesn’t need a figure to come with it. We’ve got plenty of Action Force figs ready for action when we do finally get a mech. Whatever you come up with, I know it’s going to be awesome.
If you don’t mind making a kit the Soskill B duck and Spa duck mech is great fun. It is scaled well for 3 3/4 with modifications as it has a Spartan interior and is designed for a plastic bath duck. It also doesn’t cost $400.
Ngl.....30 bucks for two mech suits and figures...its a steal. If you paired those with the early 90s style The CORPS! figures and Id pick them up no problem. Hell, id probably do it with Marauder Gunrunner figures and still be under what Hasbro would charge.
I brought these before for dollar general and fixed and painted them up to work with my classified Joe's. Man that suit isnt worth 400 maybe 200. Be blessed
😂 I can imagine that $400 mech suit being super slow. Baby steps! I like the idea you presented earlier where parts are swappable like your figs do. Or maybe multifunctional ones like for example having something like a “sky hawk” as reference that fit in the robot shell but can fly out
I know how bad you want to do a mech suit (years talking about it referring to the Avatar movie). You might want to check at “Gridiron mech accessories for the Trouble Bubble and others mech too. Great video!
I'm going to back you on the MEZCO stand issue. I own the Ghostbusters set from MEZCO and I got tired of them falling on my Christmas display ,had to 3D print some low profile flat bottom stands.
I waited two years for the shipping notification for my Mezco Dr. Doom, and then I waited another four months for it to actually ship. It's an incredible figure, but it's not worth that kind of wait. I'll probably never buy another Mezco figure for that reason.
I cant believe u disregarded the impact that lights and sounds can have on a figure. Just look at what the Japanese do with their Gundam statues to see how lights - when done well - can elevate a figure from good to amazing!
Don't over look models, check out hex gear, they have an awsome Mech in their set up, granted you build them and can see all the great detail, granted they're only 1/24 scale but its still large enough to get concept ideas.
Hey Bobby, yeah that Mezco suit doesn't do it for me. The canopy & cockpit are too big in proportion to the rest of the suit while I don't know how tough the canopy is I feel a round from a anti-material rifle would go right through it. A mech suit should be a bi-pedal tank with the driver been well protected from at least small arms fire. Rather then lights or sound or even a driver I'd sooner have something like equipment or some sort of repair frame to allow work to be done on the mech. Much like what you did with the Vanguard with the missile launcher or machine gun turret it would be cool if the action force mechs could be customized , so Trigger's mech would have a large rotary cannon while Eclipse's one would more like a large sniper auto cannon. Also if you haven't already checked it out have a look at the Joytoy 1/18 warhammer 40k Invicta battlesuit , I have one and it's pretty good.
At least you didn't get a broken one right out of the box...for $400. No sound and the canopy wouldn't close. The replacement that they sent me had all of the writing features, BUT it has fairly loose joints in some areas. The control sticks inside of the cockpit are so lose that they wobble when I move the damn thing!! The 1st one's were tight and nice. I like the mech. The range of articulation is fine with me. Just wish it was in perfect condition, especially for the money that I paid for it! The Gomez figure would be roughly $100-$120. That's the standard price. Especially with all of the accessories. So the mech would be $280-$300.
I would love to see Bobby sit down with the designers of that mech suit and ask them why they chose certain designs over his thoughts of what they could have done to make it better.
What are your thoughts on this mech suit?
Looks cool as hell, but way overpriced for what you actually get with it. I've seen backyard joe builds a million times better on a fraction of that budget.
$400? American? Not pesos? Whatever this is Bob. Don't do this. I'm sure you'll deliver better 😉👍
That mech suit is a collectors piece not a toy. Mezco doesn't make toys just like Mafex figures aren't toys. I modified 2 from the 1st wave for my classifieds. I liked them

100%!!

You are 100% right!
I'm more interested in you opening the $30 toys and compare both
Same team
I’m more interested in a real life military line instead of mech suit at all…
BINGO
@cerd6292 maybe near future too. Push it out just a few years...not massive time skip
As a 35 year old dude, I'm buying that two mech set. Probably 2 of them and I'll repaint them, and the diorama pieces.
Yep I’m thinking two chop shop six legged artillery
@richardmiller1345 I was thinking that, and 3d printing extra parts, finding a way to make them more articulate, and repainting. Maybe throwing in some joes, and marauder gun runners. Think they're the right scale for that

I was thinking the same thing. JoyToy is expensive depending on the mech, but better than paying $400. And have unique designs.
Joy toy also gives figures and amazing paint apps. So I see them as definitely worth the price.
i do like some Joytoy mechs, their quality control is suspect though.
@ that’s surprising I have 9 of their mechs. All with no problems. Maybe I’m just lucky.
They make amazing Mechas
It’s like I’m living in crazy world watching this guy criticizing the minute elbow issue and saying if he played with the toy in pre production that never would have happened…… bro is this the same guy that released that vanguard with issues that where so annoying and easily fixed with like five minutes of play that he had to ship out a free piece to allow the guns to move.

There's that and I felt like the figures could have used a little more seat room in the back.
the elbow is definitely not a minute issue imo
He says at 20 minutes that hes not perfect and that he has missed stuff, but that he probably wouldn't on a $400 piece. I think thats fair.
@ this video is just an excuse for him to make bad decisions on his next venture. If you failed so spectacularly like he did with the turret SUV from “rezvani” (more like whocarezi) then you should not be making a video criticizing another company’s minor mistakes.

Your articulation tattoos are way cooler than a $400 mech suit with limited articulation lol.

That $30 mech suit set is a good deal. You get a lot for your money.

NO ‘staction’ mechs! I’m ok w/ no lights/sound to save $. Please make them have swappable gear for MECH UPGRADE PACKS!
I got the $30 mech suit, I had to gut it to fit the classified figures in, but it works.
Mech-Suits can be so cool looking Design-wise! I would love to see a mix between IBO Gundam, MetalGearsolid Rex and pacific Rim...with a big Dragonslayer and a Huge Gatling Gun!
Hell Yeah!!! Exo Squad had really cool mechs.
Time: about 4 minutes.
Very useful tidbit of information about the reasons for differentces in costs and how things are moved (sold).
It's always fun getting some new ideas or concepts to look into whne trying to understand hwo things work in the world.
Some recommendations for anyone passing by:
-Rihio Multiabyss: cheap with good articulation and 1/60 pilots.
Taking note of that, thank you.
The limbs are too small for that huge cockpit. How can you punch something or grab something when the hand barely clears the front of the canopy?
Agreed, this is more of a 'stylized' mech than one that's actually 'functional'.
I love my mech suit but I like Mezco figs in general the detail on the paint is sick!
I think if you do something like that, you go the ' gridiron ' route 😂❤
My ideal mech: no lights. Great articulation. Must include a big knife with a place to sheath it. Multiple ports to add weapons. Then make a weapons pack for the mech. I'd like it taller then the mezco mech.
Have you seen the MacFarlane Avatar AMP?
@Mcgriffin67 yes I have. It's a cool mech. I never purchased one. I love that big knife...lol.
unless you want something closer to this in design, gundam has all that
@corruptpixel8441 gundam are cool, but you can't fit a 6 inch figure in it.
@@spruehunter5190 oh to that degree? Nah, the bigger ones could but they are really not that type of design
I've never spent $400 on a toy/collectible, and I never will. I have seen this mech suit in person when a friend bought it. It's very very nice looking, and the lights are a great feature.
I'd love someone to make something better that was more affordable.....DO IT!!!!
just copy the exo squad toys and make it integrated with the action figure, the legs go into the legs, the arms go into the arms, everyone just makes a canopy cockpit where the dude just sits there
Come on Bobby, Mech suits would be amazing in the Action force line!!!
I vote yes on action force mech suits drive time again
YES !! ... I'm hoping to see a Vala Mech suit withing the next 2 years.
Very entertaining. Laughed so hard “it’s so so just like this figure”
Watched 3 different people review 3 different mechs. All with lights and sounds but none show the lights and sounds. Nothing i collect has lights and sounds but i feel if it has it you should show it.
Amongst others, he has a valid point about it needing a big giant gun.
Gimmicks that I love on action figures:
Flip out panels with a gun or small vehicle
Rotating stuff like a minigun barrel (simple)
Spring loaded missile (old school, still love it)
Flip on battle mask
Storage panels for guns or mini figures
Flip out sword or large knife
I’m all about what that $30 package has to offer.
Hope you know it lights up and makes sounds too. I hope you guys make mech suits. Your stuff is incredible.
Hey, I would really like to thank you for taking inconsideration the cost that's passed down to the consumer. I'm a fan forever.
I remember my first beer.
It looks cool, but not $400 cool.
To even approach the $400 price it would need to be at least three times as big for starters.
Appreciate the vid. I would prefer no lights and sounds, no figure included, whatever keeps the price down. I honestly even feel people can deco their own mech: dry brushing silver and doing washes is easy. That’s my opinion.
I would have loved that mech set as a kid, I'm tempted to buy one now. Such a good deal.
I suggest getting Landbreaker. The cube mech ( Amazon $50)
It’s 2 mechs that combine and the posebility is nice. Has ankle tilts and can do the full VanDamme
It also has 2 cockpits
I liked that 30 dollar mech suit two pack, especially the small drones that it comes with. Might pick it up myself.
Having a more generic mech would increase usability, allowing people to use it for whatever they want if not for G.I. joe.
Action Force + Mech Suits =🥰❤❤❤
Working mech suits?
you mean.....
these mech suits actually wor?
COOL! (maybe I took the words out of context.)
Tbh if you want to have reasonably priced, huge and cool mech suit, go for Kotobukiya's plastic model. It's a set of a few smaller sets that in the end combines in a mech suit for 7 inch figures.
GIGANTIC ARMS STRIKE SERPENT (x2)
GIGANTIC ARMS ORBITAL MANEUVER (x2)
GIGANTIC ARMS ORDER CRADLE
HEAVY WEAPON UNIT16 OVERED MANIPULATOR (x2)
For official retail price it'll end up in... 33500 JPY withut taxes and shipping. And it's pretty heavy so it needs an action base.
Bro yapping just freaking get to it !
Ok that two pack has a Robot Jox feel to me with the feet rotating forward to sit on tracks
The two mech sets with a little bit of custom would be collector's items! XD And even if you put in the effort to customize them, I don't think you'd spend $400!!! And if you did spend that amount... It's two Mech Suits!!! O.O
The new Joy Toy "Battle for the Stars: North 09 Strike Attack Mecha" Looks interesting for inspirations and ideas.
It was actually $350 plus shipping, plus U got a figure, overall it was a expensive toy, but I like mine a lot.
I like the ideas of smaller powered exoskeletal frames for more mobility as well as large piloted mechs that are walking armories, perhaps they could even be like a 2-in-1 design
I love how u nit pick these figs. U can tell u actually care i love it. Good job cant wait for u to do a mech suit🎉 also enjoyed that movie atlas.
Absolutely agree with you. Big figures may have limited articulation but this is not great in my opinion
Could not agree more on the Mezco Stands.
Valaverse should really be the company with "The fans come first" tag line.
These are Chap Mei toys. Always good for the price.
The upgrade possibilities for those 30 buck mechs is endless,.
I've got the red one with a robot guy, it's a great blank pallet to start with.
Mine was 15.00.
That sword looks like a ruler that I had in the 5th grade.
Hahaha
I’m soooooooo interested in Exo squad! I keep watching these videos hoping for a big reveal 😆
I collect 3.25" - 4" action figures like Fortnite, SW, Epic, etc. They are well detailed, good articulation, and leave a lot of room for bigger props and monsters. You should start a line that size and create your mech suits for them. Also vehicles, etc.
I have many thoughts on this
First off I would prefer a core mech that we can buy arms and legs that suit our design choices. (Look at armored core series )
Lights :OK
SOUNDS : Meh
Lights in the cockpit are fine, and individual parts like guns swords can have lights, but don’t make them connected internally.
I BELIEVE YOULL FIND JOYTOY DOES PRETTY GOOD MECH SUITS THAT RUN IN YOUR LANE! SUGGESTION: REVIEW ONE OF THEIR BASIC SUITS AND A WARHAMMER SUIT!
I liked the Scared Mechanoids from Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar... Escaflowne was a great design especially when in dragon mode
I'm going to back you on the MEZCO stand issue.
I own the Ghostbusters set from MEZCO and I got tired of them falling on my Christmas display ,had to 3D print some low profile flat bottom stands.
In my opinion skip the lights and sounds.. I never use them. Great video Bobby. I definitely don’t think you were too hard on that $400 mech suit.
Not until Bobby designs, produces and distributes his own mech.
Gotta love how the subconscious of the human brain works
