    When I first eat hummus I thought It was a garlic mayo dip. Its odd at first but its very delicious when combined with pitta bread (kubos). Falafel is a vegetarian version of meatballs. Bread (baked) samosa and wanton (fried) samosa is good, 1 or 3 piece is not enough. I drank jallab and its extremely flowery sweet

      +Medhat R actually the middle eastern population have had a pretty heavy influence in the food that we eat in Stockholm too, on the streets almost in every corner you'll see a kebabshop so you'd feel pretty much at home :)

    what's my favorite? (just about) EVERYTHING middle-eastern! ........it comes with being arab XD
    but, those frog legs were news to me, never knew lebanese peeps ate them XD (Jordanians certainly don't.......and Syrians, Egyptians, Algerians, and Iraqis....I think :P)

    As many have already mentioned, frog legs ain’t part of the Lebanese cuisine. But the other big point I’d like to make, is that it’s called Turkish mainly because the Ottoman Empire had ruled over the region for hundreds of years. The coffee is pretty much made the same all over the region, but because they ruled at the time the coffee presented to foreign dignitaries was called Turkish. It’s a when in Rome type of thing that just stuck around, but by no means does that mean that it’s Turkish.

      YongHoon Da amzah Egyptian food is exactly the same as Levantine (Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian, and Jordanian) food. The only difference is that we have some of our own dishes that are only Egyptian, but let’s be honest, all Middle Eastern countries have at least 3 dishes that belong only to their country.
