I got triggered because of the fact that in my area we had clear skies so I was confident that i would be able to see this eclipse, but as soon as the very, very edge of the moon entered into earths penumbra a HUGE wall of clouds came out of nowhere and covered the moon completely. ( I stayed up for hours for literally nothing)
I stayed up till 3 am only to fall asleep it sucked but luckily the January one in 2019 provided a nice nighttime lunar eclipse

I'm in the path of the July 27/28 2018 and January 20/21 2019 total lunar eclipses. I will be able to see part of totality of the July 2018 and I might be able to see all of the Jan 2019 eclipse

Amazing how the earth's shadow creeps across the moon's surface as a straight line, unlike during a solar eclipse the moon's shadow is curved. Shouldn't the earth's shadow be curved also if it is a globe?
