      Josh can only win if it's tactical. He can't match Jakob's 3:26.xx speed.

    Josh is certainly an exceptional runner. If he has the race of his life AND Jakob has a bad run then yes, he might win in Paris.

      josh doesnt need Jakob to have a bad run, it is championship racing, not a time trial, there are other athletes that could win too, it isnt about who has the fastest paced , wavelight aided runs, a totally different beast, and i guess it is who has it on the day,

      Josh is better at championship racing than Jakob. Jakob is great following a rabbit, but Josh is the better racer.

      @@ThatRunnerAaron Consider their respective race results, rabbit or not: Josh won ONCE and Jacob lost TWICE. Those are the outliers. Also, Josh hardly ever races and Jakob races whenever he can.

      @@ThatRunnerAaron truly unhinged statement. Jakob has an Olympic Gold, 2 world golds, countless diamond league wins, european wins. Josh Kerr beat Jakob once in a championship race and you've let recency bias completely overcome you.

    My prediction, 1. Ingebrigtsen, 2. Cheruiyot, 3. Kerr. I think if Kerr is agressive and has a good race he can podium in the 1500.

    The 1500 promises to be the race of the Olympics. Josh has every chance of gold….and so do probably four or five others. In the unlikelihood of a slow run final, Cole Hocker could outdo them all on the last lap.

      The standard is incredible at the min. Objectively Jakob is the best and most complete athlete but of course that’s not a guarantee of winning.

      Alameda Open Space or anywhere they have parking to get onto the trails right along the Rio Grande. The path Josh was running @ in the beginning of the video can be accessed via a parking lot right next to I-40.

      no it isnt, well not based on world championships, time trials are temporary, titles are forever, and loads of other athletes in the mix

      Still Ingebrigtsen has couple titles more, counting medals probably even couple times more, even being 3 years younger than Kerr

      @@johnrunbo6780 There is no doubt Ingebrigtsen is the better athlete overall. Kerr isn't world class at either the 8 or 5000 and Jakob is the 5k favourite. What is in doubt is whether Kerr is the better championship miler and there is a good case he might be now.

      В Париже не будет кроликов, а поэтому не будет и 326. Керр дважды подряд обыграл Якоба на классическом чемпионате и чемпионате мира по бегу на милю. Так что на сегодняшний день он лучший. Что будет в Париже трудно сказать. Но единственный шанс Якоба выйграть-это если найдется человек( как Черуйот в Токио) , который поведет бег в предельном темпе

      @candace Yeah if you consider a Olympic 1500 gold, 2 5000 meter world championships. World record in the indoor 1500, the 3200, the 2000 and many european records and let’s not include all of his under 18 championships. Compared to Josh Kerr who has 1 world championship win and is 2-12 against Jacob. 🤡

      What are you talking about? After signing with Grand Slam Track, Kerr had this to say: "I’m looking to race the best people in the world as often as I can and that is sometimes difficult on the circuit because you don’t know where everyone’s going to be.".
      Clearly, the poor lad just didn't know who was racing in Monaco, otherwise he'd have definitely shown up. Also, prefontaine in 2023 really took him by surprise...
