Hi there. It's good to weigh up what's important to you. There will be pros and cons to any accommodation. You may find a place that ticks every box, but then how much does that cost? Does it mean you'll have to compromise how much you spend on experiences and socialising? Maybe make a list about what matters to you most, e.g. being near lectures/nights out/food shops, size of the rooms, confidence that you have a good landlord, living costs etc. then you can use that to help you decide which place best fits the lifestyle you're looking for. I couldn't really comment on whether part time jobs are easy to find in Preston relative to other cities, but it is worth noting that Preston has statistically higher employment rates than the Great Britain rate (which is good!). Also, in any city centre, there are always going to be relatively higher numbers of jobs available than that of the outskirts or countryside. Sorry it's not a definitive answer but hopefully this gives some guidance :)

Thanks Rebecca! I went to the Uni of Liverpool. I travelled to Preston to film this :) I really liked it as Uni of Liverpool accommodation is very new and modern. This accommodation (Lady Well Halls) had history and character, so it was a lovely experience to see it! :)

Hardly any university halls in the UK insist on shared rooms - you usually get your own room in a flat of several people.

Yes, desks in all the rooms!:) In this video it's at 4:25. She has removed the chair for it, but usually this would be the desk space with a chair x

I stayed in Ladywell halls. There were rats in the flat. Kexgill are also not a good company to deal with. Would not recommend
How bad was the rat problem? This is advertising from a staff member rather than a genuine student not authentic or ethical.
