I did it but it didn't unlock the 2 legends...
if you have editor mode its easier to just go to settings and just unlock all characters

I have editor but there is no option to unlock
Literally in the game settings in a the universe part has a giant button that says unlock characters
Another way is to run someone over with a train resulting them dying so you will have an automatic match against a random opponent from a random company and win the match to get a contract. Sounds ridiculous but trust me it works.
