i would love to see a shootout between the lauten audio eden, atlantis, u67, and u87
The u67 sounded like it had a nasal issue? That mxl sounded more open??? Seriously that’s crazy I almost liked the mxl better???? 😮 wooo
Супер/Super/Успехов/Good luck!
Outstanding, I have a U67 going through UA6176, out to a pair of Genelec 8361a's. IMO your description of how it sounds was spot on, as if the singer or person speaking was right next to you. This was the best analogy I seen on the Neumann's to date, thanks for doing this, great job!!!
Thank you 🙏
The U67 is by far my favorite vocal mic at my studio
Downloaded the files and did detailed comparisons. Spent the whole day comparing raw files but also processed (compression, EQ, etc.) U67 takes processing very very well. I think that might be the reason why it's so popular. Slate ML-1 is head and shoulders above Sphere L22 when modeling U67. Sphere was pretty awful tbh. Kind of surprised by that. I own both, the Sphere and Slate, and for some reason I keep coming back to the Slate. The 2 main takeaways for me are:
1. Lauten LS-208 is an incredible mic for the money. There simply isn't a reason to buy the SM7 (any variant). I own a UA SD1 also and I put it up for sale. The capsule simply fails to capture upper mid information that just about any other mic in your lineup does.
2. Lauten Atlantis is THE mic to buy. Put it in gentle mode, and do a 5db high shelf at 8-12k on a Pultec and you get your U67 sound.
EDIT: One of the ways to judge a mic is to see how well it cancels the room. U67, U89, Atlantis - all do a great job. Sphere absolutely flunks the test.
Wow man you went into amazing details on this. Love the feedback. Very well said and makes total sense
Nice! I love my Atlantis, Forward mode is great for pop if I want a Sony C800 sound but I mostly keep it on Neutral. My favorite mic right now is my Telefunken TF51
Where can we hear your music? Do you have a production reel?

Excellent video. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Seems like a good preamp is more important than the mic.
They are both crucial
Let’s go, bro!
🙌🙌🙌
Really miss your awesome streams, Brother!
Working on some new content. Will be out soon
@@fadygergis Great news!
BTW, is there any kind of Thunderbolt based KVM dock to switch devices between Macs in the studio (not tied to a monitor)?
I know there are lots of thunderbolt docks out there. OWC is one of my favorite. But not familiar with switching devices though.
All devices would be connected at all time.
@@fadygergis Thanks, Brother.
Side question... I'm searching for a hi-res DAP for listening to music when not working (both for reference & relaxation... inspiration). Have a few recommendations by chance?
