- A Beverly Hills mansion has been seized by alleged squatters. It is perhaps the most expensive property in the squatting epidemic afflicting America. The alleged squatter says he has every right to be here. However, the agent selling the multi-million estate says that the lease is fake. Morgan Gargiulo, one of the alleged squatters, admits that he and his friends turned the house into party central. Inside Edition’s Jim Moret has more.

@pedroinfante4722 You assume I rent? And back when I did rent, no, I never kept a copy of my lease if I even got one. As an 18 year old working full time, I didn't even know what a lease was supposed to look like. I just knew I had to get a roof over my head so I could get out of the homeless shelter and actually finish high school.
The landlord/tenant system is broken if only a piece of paper is keeping you from being tossed out on the street. This guy had a fake lease so how hard would it be for a landlord to draw up a second lease and accuse you of having the fake lease?

He produced a lease. Even if it's fake, Inside Edition has no way of knowing that for certain.
When you have squatters, do what I did. I gave a copy of the house keys to a guy who paid them a visit, and the next morning, the house was empty. No questions. No fuss. I could care less what actually happened.
EDIT: I forgot to add, I only paid him $2k which is about a month's rent. Best money I ever spent.

The lease is probably legit. They just say “alleged” to make us think they aren’t suppose to be there when the law says they can. Inside Edition isn’t honest they just want the attention and ad revenue without addressing the real issue (the stupid laws).

This is crazy for I was a MODEL tenant for 4 strait yrs rent late JST 2x due to covid, yet due to the owner's being racist kicked me out when I had a LEGAL MIGRANT over & nxt thing I know I'm discriminated against & lost my apt, I fought it yet aftr a few mnths the police came & physically removed me so this legit boggles my mind.

All squatters should be jailed. There seriously needs to be a new law for this, it's getting out of hand. I live in california next to a bunch of squatters partying every night from 9pm-6am, it was so bad. They trashed my backyard, clogged the pipes, pooped all over my driveway etc. They only got evicted, only to make the next neighbors a bunch of victims.
