Just to let everyone know. There's one thing you missed, Battle Axe can break the ice slick just like Ice crusher does! I don't know any scenarios where you'd use it since people can kinda mash against battle-axe's startup, but it's neat to know since it will break the floor.
I guess you can do that when you have a weapon on floor, but don't want to get rid of your other weapons, along with battle axe being an overhead. If they respect and block it, the ice projectiles can make that option safe

What character archetype is he? He seems like he works best when he’s in mid-range
Is an archetype called "Midranger" (the youtuber daruma has a video on the archetype if you are interested)
Other names are swordy or spacer, they are characters who fight using melee weapons but are balanced around poor recovery or startup in moves.
Srronghoof also has a little bit of the "trapper" archetype because his weapons become stationary traps in the battlefield he can activate later to catch the opponent.
