Metallica went experimental with Load and Reload. Thier fisrt reattempt at fast and heavy was in 2003 with St. Anger. However the true comeback to thier origins was in 2008 with Death Magnetic. This song came in 2016, the Hardwired album almost touched on every style the adapted in their career.

There are two trashy songs on this album and the rest are closer to their 90s stuff. But I like the 90s stuff to so it's all good. Their 2008 album Death Magnetic actually has a few amazing songs on it like That Was Just Your Life, All Nightmare Long, and The Judas Kiss.

this is the only track that i like on this album. nothing compare with old metallica with cliff and jason. even Load and Reload are better for me. Battery Seattle 89 or Moscow 91 and you will see the diference.
For Whom the bell tols Woodstock 94, The four horsemen San Diego 92, Welcome home (Sanitarium) Seattle 89, Unforgiven San Diego 92 (that one is beautiful)...
just some of the best performances and i think old fans would agree with me
Edit: i forgat my favorite, badass performance - Harvester of sorrow Moscow 1991. please react to that!

Like all modern Metallica songs, it sounds great until James starts singing. I find it physically painful to listen to his lyrics. One of the biggest mysteries in the history of rock music is what happened to his songwriting ability? I've discussed this for hours with fellow metallica fans. Some people blame Bob Rock. I'd say that's a plausible theory. When the black album came out all of us were so disappointed, but now that album looks like a masterpiece compared to the garbage they've put out in the last 30 years!
