Have to say, as an experienced rider, I am really enjoying watching the riding dynamic between you two, with Lavi being a brand new rider and Ollie as the veteran. Lavi is doing absolutely amazing for a new rider, there sure are a lot of very dynamic experiences for a new rider. She is handling them like a boss! Ollie is fun too, with his steady presence, riding as the ‘tail gunner’ and keeping a watchful eye, riding the pace she needs, blocking danger from the rear, taking over the mike as required for rest or as concentration dictates. Super fun adventure too. Enjoying your content, refreshing (to me) as a riding pair enjoying adventures together. As a married guy, I also get a chuckle over previous brekkie scenes. Husbands always lose a bit of pancake to “quality assurance”, it’s just the way it is. LOL

Moin, moin, hey you two when parking your bikes on a gradient, reverse off the road at 90° and leave in 1st gear to stop it rolling back further (with the engine off of course) . This means that when you set off again you just need to ride off in the direction you want to go without the pain of having to push the bike backwards up the gradient onto the road (especially when hot)

You were mentioning about tiger pangoline, leopard, etc. but the monkey that you saw en route to Valparai is (my guess, need more confirmation though) Lion-tailed macaque. This species is endemic to the area (Kerala, TN, and Karnataka) and critically endangered, with approx. 4200 left in the world. You were so lucky to spot them. Their interaction with humans is a new phenomenon too . Although unusual, it is becoming commonplace and has a detrimental effect on their population. Hope the species is resilient and survives and really really hope humans wont push them to extinction!
But yeah, on a random road trip, although you were searching for something majestic to the human eye, you might have found a hidden gem!

    Hola L&O,
Today's adventure was terrific! Those mountain roads were incredibly scary. Especially in that heavy fog, and at the end with all those speeding buses.
The scenery was, once again, absolutely spectacular! So green. The tea plantations with those interesting trees were beautiful.
    India is a fascinating place.
And what a nice hotel. The Pongal looked tasty.
Safe and happy travels, see you in the next one.
Happy and alive! Lots of love, Sue ❤❤❤

Try valparai to athrapalli to wayanaad route. It will feel like heaven. But careful because no google map available in athirapaly route. Also if you look into google map you will see no inhabitants in athriapali. It is 80 to 90% almost green ( forest). Only offline google map download is available for athriapali.

As a hill rider, lane discipline keeps you alive in Indian mountains. While taking a blind curve try to be on edge as much as possible because a big vehicle like bus or truck may be coming from the opposite side and they need space to turn. They may take half of your lane as well

Next time when you plan to visit India ,make sure to take a 30 day visa only to explore Kerala, as you have explored only 1% of kerala. You both will be loving kerala for ever.
Take care ,God bless you both, keep smiling ,Ride safe.❤❤❤❤

25:25 The stripped down trees are silver oaks. Tea is primarily an undergrowth bush so direct sun light all day is not as good for it. The silver oak branches are managed in such a way that they provide shade to the tea shrubs as necessary for the season.

guys when the visibility is low, keep a distance from the line at the side of the road, because you might not be able to see the sharp hairpins due to fog and you may end up running off the road. its best to follow teh line in the middle of the road, if there is any but its not safe as you may run into an incoming vehicle. Drive safe.
