- Join us as we spend a day at Magic Kingdom using Genie+. We get to ride a lot of our favourites using a mixture of Genie+ Lightning Lanes, the virtual queue for Iron and by simply waiting in good old fashioned standby lines. We take a break to have lunch at Geyser Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge resort and go back to the park for some extra rides and Happily Ever After.

Today we have a late lunch booked at Geyser Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge resort. It's where Keith proposed in December 2010 (although it was nothing but a beach back then!) and we've always wanted to go back there for sentimental reasons. We decide to fit a day at Magic Kingdom around the reservation and buy Genie+ so that we can get as much out of our time in the park as we can. We also join the virtual queue for Tron Lightcycle Run.
It's a lovely bright, crisp and sunny day as we get to the park. We forget that we have to wait 2 hours from when the park opens to be able to "stack" another Lightning Lane on Genie+ so we kill time by joining the standby queue for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which turns out to be quicker than the stated wait time.
We grab a coffee from the Main Street Bakery and head to Big Thunder Mountain. We watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade from Frontierland on our way to Storybook Circus to ride Goofy's Barnstormer.
Our boarding group for Tron is called so we join the queue - which still takes 70 minutes - but we agree after riding it that it was totally worth the wait.
It's almost time for our lunch reservation so take the resort ferry to Disney's Wilderness Lodge resort. Geyser Point has a really cool sports bar vibe and we enjoy our lunch and the view from the great location.
Back in the park we use our Lightning Lane for Haunted Mansion and then ride some classic favourites - Carousel of Progress, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
We book a Lightning Lane for Dumbo the Flying Elephant but the ride has technical difficulties so we decide not to wait and a grab coffee to warm us up and position ourselves at the park entrance to watch Happily Ever After.
Back at Port Orleans Riverside we catch a few minutes of Yeeha Bob at the River Roost Bar before heading back to our room for the night.

we rode carousel of progress on our first day of our first ever Disney World trip in 2022 and absolutely loved it! anything with a catchy song and I’m on board!

If anyone was coming for the 1st time I would always recommend the Disney plus series “behind the attractions” not only does it give you so much history on Walt, Roy and the Disney company but it really does make the attractions featured in the series feel that much more special!

It’s a great big beautiful tomorrow - went on the Carousel of Progress on our first visit over 40 yrs ago. Can’t see then getting rid of it as it’s a welcome place to get a seat and aircon and the People mover one of my favourite. Best place for us to see fireworks is bottom of Main Street as you can see castle and buildings lit up.
I think there would be a riot. It's such an iconic ride

I teared up hearing the Carousel of Progress song. We went to Disneyland then Disney World every year with my mother in the late 60's through the 70's. She loved that ride as do I. It is wonderful to see and hear the joy Keith gets from watching the younger children experiencing Disney Magic. Always makes me smile. Thanks for the awesome video!

Another wonderful vlog as always. Although here it’s pronounced Guy-zer I think I’m going to start calling it Gee-zer Point from now on - much more colorful and entertaining! Like how you Brits pronounce squirrel and jaguar. Much better than the American versions.

Carousel of Progress is just iconic, it's been there for years and I hope it is never replaced, plus it's a great way to get some ac and have a sit down.

My husband and I rode Carousel of Progress for the first time last month and we absolutely loved it. It is a must do every trip from now on.

We were in Magic Kingdom last Monday... Disney Blues have kicked in 😢 We went on The Carousel of Progress for the first time and I loved it even though its so dated you can feel the nostalgia of it all 😊

Would love to hear that proposal story. Seeing the train pull into the station as you were waiting for the MK to open was nostalgic. Remember when the train was full of characters and cast members and they’d do a song and dance opening number? Probably will never come back. Also MK parade elements are the same but many less cast members performing. Cost cutting. But feel bad for the equity union performers who lost their jobs. Ah well 😔. And yes there are iconic attractions at WDW and Disneyland they should never mess with. Take care you lovely Cheers Ears. ❤🌈

Fully agree on the dessert party comments. It was our first time back in Feb and I just didn’t want the hassle of trying to secure really good viewing spots hours in advance with two small kids. It is expensive but the kids ate their body weight in dessert, we had a few drinks all whilst knowing we would get to see the full fireworks. Worth it if you can in my opinion.
First timers for carousel of progress too, I could see some charm to it but husband and kids were less enthralled, didn’t hate it but certainly weren’t asking to go back on.
100% agree on the fireworks party. Just takes all the stress out of ot
V chilled couple vlog its defo different to with the kids not better or worse just different ❤ and genie plus/lightening lanes completely do my muffin in!!! 😂 fast pass was my all time fav system! Carousel of Progress always brings me back to the first time my parents took us to Disney in 1974. I still have ticket booklets from that trip ☺️❤️

Love the fireworks but not the crowd. Once we’ve seen the castle projections and fireworks during our trip then we like to stand behind the castle near Mickeys philharmagic for any repeat firework display during our stay.
Never tried it from there but will definitely try it now

The ol Genie+ thing is a bit of a mind boggle eh? 😵💫🙃🤣 ( I've watched alot of vlogs about it & I still haven't a clue ! ha! 😛) Great fun rides & love the parade. Tron lit up at night looks amazing! And as you said, wasn't too bad view for the fireworks, still all looks very magical. And so cool to end your fab day with a bit more of Yee-ha Bob!!! 😜🤩x

Hiya 🤗 I love Magic Kingdom, just watching your vlog reminded me why I love it and why it’s my fave park. I agree the dessert party isn’t worth it if you don’t need to do it. Or you can get a spot a couple of hours beforehand in a decent spot in front of the grass areas (if you stand on the back side of the fenced off grass bits) that way you don’t have anyone right in front of you, it’s my fave spot 😊 looking forward to your next vlog ♥️ xxx

Really enjoying this series. I hate to correct you but the word "geyser" is pronounced "guyser" and the word for an old man is spelled geezer. It's an American thing.

I’d advise bringing a white noise machine or using an app. We brought ours and I was thankful when the Skyliner chimes started overhead early morning.

There’s a little outcove at DAK in africa and we had booked a magical moments (I think that’s what they are called) where you get your own photo pass photographer for like 30 mins. And I got proposed to in that little outcove with the tree of life in the background! ❤️❤️ love Disney proposals that are in unique locations!

Myself and my husband stood at the back for the fireworks once. Not my favourite as the lights stay on and you can’t see any projections even on Main Street but you can still enjoy the fireworks wherever you are plus if you want to make a quick exit it’s ideal. When you couldn’t do Dumbo you should I have had a multi use experience pass thingy to use on any other ride (minus certain big ticket ones). I believe it’s every two hours after park open plus after you tap in for a ride you can book. . My brother is the Genie + expert in the family and has taught me all I know. He even sets an alarm when it’s ready to book another lightning lane lol.

Your videos are fun. But I think that I really really enjoyed this series of them are my favorites. Are there many roller coaster that Trace doesn't ride and what are both of yours favorites

Pricey is an understatement. You almost need another mortgage to stay at Wilderness Lodge, but it is fabulous and my favourite Disney hotel of the one's I've stayed at, including the Grand Californian. On a sidenote, it always amuses me the way Brits pronounce geyser. We pronounce it 'guy-ser', not 'gee-zer'.
I know it's sooo expensive but so lovely. I've had a lot of comments about my pronunciation so I'll do my best to remember for next time. Hope you're having a great week

What fun!!! ❤ I’ve heard that if you get all of the barrels spinning at the same time in the seven dwarfs mine train ride not only do all the dwarfs show up but Snow White will appear to be dancing in the center. Need to get others involved to get them all working at the same time. We want to try it the next time we visit 😊
