Enjoyed the pace and presentation of several of your videos. Also enjoy the clear audio without a short, repeating clip. Some RUclips videos are not easy watch because of audio choices. 👏👏👏👏. Yours are 👍
I use both Roku and amazon fire stick there are things you can't watch on a fire stick that you can only watch on roku, but my fire stick gets the most use
You can do do so much more with a Firestick than you can with a Roku stick, you can enable apps from unknown sources with s FS and unlock a whole new world of streaming either for free or for a couple of $ a month, with a FS you can get IPTV which blows any cable/satellite service provider away and stream movies and TV shows for free or for a couple $ a month if you choose to integrate with Real Debrid
And Paul Bentley you are 100% incorrect, with a Firestick you have unlimited capabilities with anything you choose to watch, Roku is limited, just gotta know what your doing
Thank you, I’ve decided to go with the firestick since I have Alexa echo dot and amazon prime. Thanks again! Update: I’ve had it for two weeks now and I’m very happy with it.
Mike Studmuffin vudu is a movie rental service. It can hardly be considered free. As for the rest of those...they are nice but having a firestick allows you to watch whatever you want, when you want for free
Mike Studmuffin still doesn’t compare bud. You’re comparing things that aren’t even close to equal in quality. Some free apps that give you some decent, usually older content. Vs using an apk that basically lets you watch whatever you want. To each their own though 🤷♂️
Think I'm gonna go with Roku! Thanks for the info. It was very helpful. I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to streaming devices. Still a little on the fence.
Honestly a fire stick is why better than roku I'll never go back to any roku device again not to mention with the fire stick your viewing pleasure is endless unlike a roku device which limits your streaming choices
Chinese video content watchers must get the fire stick. You can install the standard Android TV box app on the fire stick such as iQuiyi, Youku, Tencent, BilliBilli etc. Can't do that on a Roku.
My mom doesn't have a smart tv and I'd like to get this for her but I need to know if this will power on the TV it's connected to so she doesn't have to mess around with two remotes. Thanks
Jay Dawg in theory I buy 3 roku sticks and I add channels would I have to pay like 3 times so that each roku has it or would I just pay say $20 a month and it is on all of them. Also I know this is a dumb question I can’t find anything though
Firestick just doesn't work as well as Roku. I have two TCL tv's with built in roku and one Roku Ultra. I also have an amazon fire stick but the roku is laid out better and works better. Also, my sony ps vue app looks much nicer on my roku ultra app than it does on my fire tv app. And Roku has a search feature that seems to be missing in Amazon's stick. Yes Amazon fire has a search function but it just doesn't find apps as easily as Roku.
Hey how does your Roku holding up? Does it have any problems with youtube and netflix ? Our TV is TCL as well but the youtube and netflix app most of the time just freezes and Im planning on getting Roku just to get youtube and netflix work without any problems
Kryptonaaayt I’ve had both but prefer Roku, like I have spectrum so they didn’t let me get the app to watch live tv on amazon fire stick but Roku does, and it hasn’t slowed down like fire stick has and it’s just nicer
I think you missed one of the most important features on the firestick. Apps can be side loaded and with the correct configuration apps and media can be saved to external storage, in essence making the firestick capable of having storage of 2 TB or greater.
Most ppl in this comment section ignore that fact and just say as long as they have their netflix who cares u.u. Its sad. Its also funny to me that his firestick affiliate link died but the roku one is still up xD
I've had Roku for a few years and it's been a solid performer, the device can be a bit sluggish but it worked with no problems, until recently. Audio and video going out of sync frequently on apps like Sling. Myself and others have been in the Roku forums looking for a solution but nothing. Looking to upgrade and right now leaning towards getting a Fire Stick.
I have 2 Roku’s in my house....I watch one and my son watches the other one. We really like what it offers and the ease of finding stuff! I have a friend that has a fire stick and when I go visit, her she enjoys that too! I don’t think you can go wrong with either one of these!
You can't use an IPTV player and only pay $10-$15 a month for 3000+ channels including every sports package and HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and Starz with a roku so...
I'm thinking about trying ROKU. I've had the original Firestick version for a few years now. I'm ok with it, but it needs maintenance. You have to clear the cache often and need to install updates on a regular basis. Once a year, I revert back to factory defaults, reload everything again, then it works great. I added KODI as most apps and Amazon movies are 'pay per view'. One big issue.... if you are a SPECTRUM subscriber, the SPECTRUM app does not work on the firestick, even though Amazon says it does.
Thanks for the Roku Amazon Sick review. They both have plusses and cons. The good news is that you can get one of each and you really don't have to pick one over the other.
I have both. One thing I do not like about Ruku and do like with the Firestick is: You can control the volume of your soundbar or soundsystem on the firestick. You can only control the volume on your TV with Roku. You cannot control the volume of your soundbar, etc on ROKU. I hope they can fix and update that with Roku. Was using Firesticks until we started using Xfinity Stream which only works with Roku. So we went and bought Rokus to replace the firesticks.
I have both in my house. I got the Roku's especially because it has the Spectrum app, which the firestick natively doesn't. With the Spectrum app, I don't need any cable boxes to get Spectrum, so I save money on the box rentals and the electricity they use. Also, one thing to point out. The remote control on the Roku app can use voice searches even on the Rokus that do not provide a voice remote. Plus, the remote control, on the app interacts with Roku via WiFi instead of having to point at the screen.
I have both. I prefer the Roku format, I bought the firestick because they offered a deal last year around Superbowl and I got the Recast (I like recording on the OTA antenna) with the firestick. Also, I like the Internet App on the firestick.
I'm still torn between them this kinda didn't help, my mom has a Roku and I was thinking about getting that but then she mentioned fire stick hense why I'm torn someone help if you can which is better for a beginner like me
To be perfectly honest they are both good and easy to use... neither is a clear winner and anyone who will tell you one is clearly superior is a shill. Having said that, a lot will just be based on your personal preferences and how you'll use it... do you already use Amazon a lot? Are you subscribed to Amazon Prime? The Firestick is a good match for someone already invested in Amazon... if you're not a Prime user, or prefer more neutral recommendations, Roku might be the better choice.
Firestick has a lot more versatility with streaming content from the internet which IMO is a big edge. I have used both and much perfer firestick. Good luck streaming live sports with roku its a snap to do with firestick
i see there are sevral things the fire can do that roku is not currently able to provide. but the firestick is another tracking device the concern is the same for alexa, echo surveillance products even when you do not have anything to hide - these tract and store user information. yup I have roku and that better as it doesnt update from scamazon sites like the apple [yes my router blocks both this saved 6 to 8 gb of data used up] and yes the roku streams better without the hidden programs running :)
If tracking devices are an issue you should just go with a similarly priced Android box. I mean the only thing the firestick has going for it vs those is its convenient Android tv like interface that gets regular updates and hardware that is amazing for its price. It's really not fair to compare a firestick to a roku stick because the firestick is just way out of the rokus league in terms of hardware and what you can actually do with it. The messed up thing is they cost damn near the same during sale times, so I would never ever recommend roku over a firestick.
@@RubenRyb66 what is that guys talking about ? EVERYTHING IS a Tracking device your phone your car etc etc Then dont get a phone or car either. Oh By the way tracking huh ? I have the Fire Stick, what you did not mention is that voice search will show what platforms it is showing. Also, the smartphone app will show you different apps as well as if you have more than one Fire Stick named LivingRoom and BedRoom I can choose between them.
I have used both however I currently have a Roma. The biggest difference between the 2 is Roma is much much easier to use. For someone who is new to streaming services, Romulo might be a better bet because it is much much easier to figure out. My friend has a fire stick and it was horrible trying to figure out how to add apps and search for videos
Roku has a lot more than what you said. You can download any because you have unlimited space and amazon fire stick have a limited amount of space. You also left out the fact that you can watch amazon prime video on the roku
We have a Roku Ultra and having trouble with the RUclips Tv app. On-demand video occasionally locks up with black screen and you have to exit YTTV and reload YTTV and the video you were watching. This problem doesn't occur on our mobile apps and computers.
It really comes down to preference. As a big prime user having the fire stick makes more sense. However if you mainly use other services like netflix ect them get the roku
My quandary was not wanting Amazon to have that much control like Google does on internet or Facebook controlling what they think the truth is. I'm still not sure but I think we will try Roku since we don't have any smart home devices like Alexa (another control entity).
I’ve noticed that the headphone jack is the best way to run your batteries out in your remote. Every time you plug something into the jack it starts burning battery energy.
@@steelman774 Yep! And most people don't buy quality batteries for their remotes cause well they're remotes which causes you to constantly have to buy batteries if you want to use the headphone jack on the remote, yeah you can buy rechargeable batteries but why when you probably already have a set of bluetooth headphones already!
Roku is the king and winner for a list of reasons .... not least of which being Amazon doesn't need more of your money. Add that it's hardware agnostic, intelligently built/written, and just generally free from the "exclusivity wars", there's no contest.
The difference between both for him is the Alexa. The new Roku stick now has Alexa so that means that Riku is better now and not then. I'm getting the best Riku stick with Alexa and 4K with extended wifi.
Now just like with your phone streaming to your TV you can adjust the volume in a program so you would have to raise your TV up higher to control the remote through certain apps that come from your phone like RUclips at least on the Roku device so I don't know how the Smart Stick remote controls the non-smart TV
Do I need to have HBO or other channel subscription with my cable company in order to access them on these devices? Or do I just need to have internet service and then can buy the apps and view on my tv with these devices?
Got a 4K firestick, was able to put kodi and other free movie/tv shows on it, can’t complain. Never owned a Roku though..only owned android boxes before, and the firestick kicks their ass if you know how to “use it” properly.
I'm at the beginning of this video and I'm seeing the HDMI sticking out of the Roku device I disagree with that because you're putting more weight on your HDMI unless they did a comparison with the weight of the stick versus the cords also easier to catch on things so it Yanks it so it is an interesting thought
Am I crazy for thinking of one for the living room and the other for the bedroom? How difficult is it to buy one and move it from tv to tv? Thanks for the video. It is very helpful. My son will be thrilled I have another resource rather than asking him all the time!
The Amazon Fire Tv Stick does not let you watch OTA channels and Roku does not either. You have to have either a Roku TV or a Fire TV with the built in software within the TV itself.
All you need for (free!) OTA channels is an indoor or outdoor TV ANTENNA (if you are in a geographic location that is close enough to your areas broadcast towers). You just select the 'TV' option from your 'Source' (or 'Input') dropdown menu. Easy-peasy! However, if you want access to your OTA channels WITHIN the Firestick environment, you'd either have to subscribe (pay for) to one of the 'live TV' (aka 'OTT') streaming services that include them (i.e. 'RUclips TV,' 'Hulu + Live TV,' 'Sling TV,' 'Philo TV,' Fubo TV,' etc. NOTE: not ALL of these subscription services necessarily include ALL of the major networks (contractual issues), whereas your (free) antenna-received ones do. Another way to get your local channels available WITHIN the Firestick environment (i.e. on the 'Home page') is to buy an Amazon 'Recast' DVR. This connects only to a electrical outlet and your antenna (NOT your TV!), so you place it wherever your best antenna location is! It then sends Wi-Fi signal to any/all of your TV's that have a Firestick attached (i.e. no need for separate antennas for each TV). So, after you've gone thru simple set-up process for the Recast, the word 'DVR' will magically appear in (all of) your Firestick's main menu listing! Click on it and you can watch ALL of your OTA local broadcast channels (national and local, obviously) OR any OTA programs that you have previously recorded. With either the '2-tuner' or '4-tuner' model, you have the ability to watch Live TV WHILE recording another OTA channel(s) program. Of course, if you don't care about recording OTA programs or just HAVE to have them within the Firestick's environment, it is not very inconvenient to just use your 'source/input' selector to flip back and forth! I've been doing this for years! I live in Houston and get over 100 local broadcast channels with a very inexpensive, clear, 'mudflap'-style antenna (a 'best-value' independently-rated one!) suction-cupped to the bedroom window of my second-story apartment. Cost me less than $15, as I recall. Good luck with your choices!
I'm tired of cable, I used it sents 1986. That being said they just keep jacking up prices and taking away channels. This stick thing is all new to me but your video helped me
Yeah, you would need one for each tv. I highly suggest going with the firestick tho. He didn't mention the fact that the firestick runs on a modified android os and can run just about any apk via sideloading them from a pc or by using the free downloader app thats in the native app store. Roku is limited to it's streaming "channels"
Yes I agree, I bought the cover and it’s great! Not slippery and the bright orange is much easier to spot than the plain black remote that slips down into the cushions.
Could someone please tell me if your able to voice search within the RUclips app for videos using the Roku stick? Or do you have to manually type in each letter when looking for videos. I know the firestick does it, but was hoping the Roku will do this? Thanks
Roku, Pause a show come back to hit play. Mirror cast from your phone to Roku no problem. Pause a Firestick and wait long enough, when you come back its at the home screen. You have to go all the way back in to find show and then hit play. Also, try watching youtube on your phone and the try mirror casting to a firestick. good luck with that.
I have both Amazon Fire Stick and Roku, TV and stick. Roku is the best because you can easily customize it and it's simple. I have four TVs and they are all Roku with the exception being the big TV. It has Amazon Fire Stick and Roku+. I rarely use the Fire Stick. I can get my Amazon Prime Music and Video with Roku so I don't need Fire Stick.

I have a fire stick. It is clunky. I got it in 2018. So it’s an older one. Over time it has gotten clunkier. I’m going to go with Roku as a second device. I like the simple layout.
Its basicly an android device and it stores data for all of your apps. Just clear the cache and or data on your more used apps and it will be fine lol. The 2nd gen and 4k are alot better. Trust me you will regret roku xD. If you must upgrade, actually upgrade to a more powerful androidbox. Plenty of options in the $50- $60 range all the way up to $200 if you end up going mad with tv box power xD
Neither of them cost a lot. I have both. I find that the Roku works better with some channels and the Fire sticks better with others. And since we already juggle a half dozen remotes, whats one or two more.
With the fire stick you just have to go to the search box and it'll search all the apps for whatever movie you're looking for. ~Which one overheats more? Which one lasts longer? Which one works faster and has less buffering? Thanks.
i like the roku best, it tells you how much a movie is, from several sources. but i already have an amazon echo near the tv, so i will probably go with the firestick. thanks for the great video.
I am thinking about getting a fire stick an base on what you I think Amazon would be better I do have a prime membership but I don't use the movies I need to learn how trying to get rid of cable altogether
Firestick is your best bet if these are your options. Roku is limited to channels and has underpowered hardware whereas the firestick is basically an android device that's powerful enough to run just about every streaming apk and more. Honestly tho, if you are willing to spend $10-20 more just get a mi box S.
I have Amazon Fire TV. One of the biggest problems with Fire TV is running out of storage space. You can spend money to buy to extra equipment to add more storage. Sometimes the Fire TV gets buggy and will not load my paid content. I ordered me a Roku device today to give it an opportunity to give me more content, hopefully without the bugs. It will be delivered to my home tomorrow. By the way, the Fire TV is currently not connected to my TV,; it is sitting on my dining room table.
I don't have echo or a Alexa and I have Roku's on all my tv's with my cable sub. which I want to get rid of and so which one will I get and be able to have access to the channels I like without spending a fortune.
One thing about the FireTV stick as well. It's an Android based operating system. Which means you can also side load a lot of stuff as well, including various applications to watch movies for free

I bought a Roku stick and it was night and day difference. I took all my Amazon streaming sticks put them up on eBay and replace them with Roku‘s. Now that I think about it I feel really bad for the people who bought those Amazon sticks from me because now they have to sell them to buy Roku‘s.
Enjoyed the pace and presentation of several of your videos. Also enjoy the clear audio without a short, repeating clip. Some RUclips videos are not easy watch because of audio choices. 👏👏👏👏. Yours are 👍
Thank you! Your feedback really means a lot to me. I appreciate it!
Your comparisons cleared up which streaming unit to consider Thank you
I use both Roku and amazon fire stick there are things you can't watch on a fire stick that you can only watch on roku, but my fire stick gets the most use
Jailbreak your fire stick then you can watch anything lol
Bryant Martin Is firestick better? Or Roku?
I keep hearing different things from different people...
@@goodiegoodygumdrops to me the fire stick because you can add apps where u can get free live tv watch new movies thats just came out
Thank you, I’ve decided to go with the firestick since I have Alexa echo dot and amazon prime. Thanks again!

Roku tv users where u at?

Just upgraded to the TCL 6 Series this past weekend and loving it!
Aww yeah!!

Think I'm gonna go with Roku! Thanks for the info. It was very helpful. I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to streaming devices. Still a little on the fence.
I bought a Firestick for my mom, but now I think I should have gotten the Roku. It seems simpler without all those ads.
Honestly a fire stick is why better than roku I'll never go back to any roku device again not to mention with the fire stick your viewing pleasure is endless unlike a roku device which limits your streaming choices
Just google roku vs firestick specs. It'll be obvious what has a better value
Also roku has unlimited space. Fire stick has a limit so you can’t download too many apps
But you can get games stupid
Lawrence Toy and gear review roku has games too. Not gonna say they’re the best tho
@@promisejimenez6350 I have both but I prefer the mobile games on fire stick then the airplane puzzle games on Roku but overall I still prefer Roku
Lawrence Toy and gear review also fire stick has internet access but I agree I like roku better👍🏽
Lawrence Toy and gear review people play games on streaming sticks? That’s what consoles are for.
Thanks
Yes he said both of them will
I absolutely love my ROKU. I have 5 now.
Jay Dawg in theory I buy 3 roku sticks and I add channels would I have to pay like 3 times so that each roku has it or would I just pay say $20 a month and it is on all of them. Also I know this is a dumb question I can’t find anything though
@@hsg_cyclone3097 if you use the same email for your ROKU's, the channels are automatically added to each one.
I love it too
I absolutely love my FIRE TV... I have 4 now.
Why would you need multiples? Curious
@@Kryptonaaayt I watch youtube in a browser i installed on my firestick, but yeah it has both youtube and Netflix apps now.
Best streaming device for the regular user, Roku, no complications, 140 channels to watch content...👍👍👍
Roku works with Google Assistant too.
does it because thats the only thing keeping me from buying it.
Roku now works with Alexa now to and it’s been working well for me
I think you missed one of the most important features on the firestick.
TB?

I've had Roku for a few years and it's been a solid performer, the device can be a bit sluggish but it worked with no problems, until recently. Audio and video going out of sync frequently on apps like Sling. Myself and others have been in the Roku forums looking for a solution but nothing.
Looking to upgrade and right now leaning towards getting a Fire Stick.
You can change and control your screensavers on the firestick as well. It gives you options to choose from or you can use your own photos.
Is it possible to get rid of all the bullshit I don't want? Meaning just seeing only the apps I want?
@@Lord_Marmota No
I have 2 Roku’s in my house....I watch one and my son watches the other one. We really like what it offers and the ease of finding stuff! I have a friend that has a fire stick and when I go visit, her she enjoys that too! I don’t think you can go wrong with either one of these!
Ev7a
How the hell does The Sandlot have only two stars!!! That s a classic great movie!
You missed the number 1 issue. You can add the spectrum tv app on ruku. Spectrum tv app will not work on amazon fire.
Hmmm... good point. Sorry I did not mention that!
I honk Ollinger have to buy an antenna o get your local channels.
Roku has mute next to volume. Made it sound like you only fire stick had mute in review. Easy to use for girlfriend. Fire stick clunky interface
Roku 2018 doesn't have a Mute button on the remote, they added it to the 2019 remote. I own a 2018.
Thanks for that and I really like my roku that I have. It's actually pretty good
Yes you can what type of Roku do you have mines even powers it off my Roku tv is amazing
Another bonus: Roku is cheaper, I have three!
No it isn't xD
I have both. I prefer the Roku format, I bought the firestick because they offered a deal last year around Superbowl and I got the Recast (I like recording on the OTA antenna) with the firestick.
Also, I like the Internet App on the firestick.
Roku
Thank you. I'll stay with my firestick.
Firestick has a lot more versatility with streaming content from the internet which IMO is a big edge.
I have used both and much perfer firestick.
Good luck streaming live sports with roku its a snap to do with firestick
i see there are sevral things the fire can do that roku is not currently able to provide.
but the firestick is another tracking device the concern is the same for alexa, echo surveillance products
even when you do not have anything to hide - these tract and store user information.
yup I have roku and that better as it doesnt update from scamazon sites like the apple
[yes my router blocks both this saved 6 to 8 gb of data used up] and yes the roku streams better without the hidden programs running :)

I have the Fire Stick, what you did not mention is that voice search will show what platforms it is showing. Also, the smartphone app will show you different apps as well as if you have more than one Fire Stick named LivingRoom and BedRoom I can choose between them.
Does one need to have the TV set up to cable for the Roku stick to work or does it work on WiFi alone?
What about live sports streaming? Which one is recommended?
I have used both however I currently have a Roma. The biggest difference between the 2 is Roma is much much easier to use. For someone who is new to streaming services, Romulo might be a better bet because it is much much easier to figure out. My friend has a fire stick and it was horrible trying to figure out how to add apps and search for videos
Oh man, auto correct is not my friend. Should be Roku
Roma???
Just wondering if roku will release a new streaming stick this year
Roku has a lot more than what you said. You can download any because you have unlimited space and amazon fire stick have a limited amount of space. You also left out the fact that you can watch amazon prime video on the roku
Do both devices have CC?
What do you mean by CC?
Geez that 10months ago...
I guess CC is "Closed Captions" so I can keep volume down.
We have a Roku Ultra and having trouble with the RUclips Tv app. On-demand video occasionally locks up with black screen and you have to exit YTTV and reload YTTV and the video you were watching. This problem doesn't occur on our mobile apps and computers.
Does the ‘private listing’ Have to be played on earphone or can u simply play audio from ur iPhone speaker? 🙏🏼
Some Roku remotes have headphone jacks, makes life easy :)
Firestick has bluetooth enabled headphones, mouse, keyboard and etc! Firestick is far more better than a Roku
MissN Perfection my fire stick bluetooth won’t connect to my headphones or airpods :( it only connects to my google home
@@steelman774 For which one, Anazon or Roku?
I decided to have the Roku because of your comparison! Thanks for such a great video!
Roku is the king and winner for a list of reasons .... not least of which being Amazon doesn't need more of your money. Add that it's hardware agnostic, intelligently built/written, and just generally free from the "exclusivity wars", there's no contest.
But the firestick is basically an android device and is powerful enough to run most apks. Don't even need to jailbreak it.
you ignored the fact that roku can stream amazon prime video
True but Not many people care
true + the roku is not tracking you.
But can you install browsers or literally any apk on the Roku?
You can literally turn the firetv into a computer
The difference between both for him is the Alexa. The new Roku stick now has Alexa so that means that Riku is better now and not then. I'm getting the best Riku stick with Alexa and 4K with extended wifi.
People with the firestick get to enjoy just about every apk on the market. I hope you are enjoying those roku channels tho.
Now just like with your phone streaming to your TV you can adjust the volume in a program so you would have to raise your TV up higher to control the remote through certain apps that come from your phone like RUclips at least on the Roku device so I don't know how the Smart Stick remote controls the non-smart TV
Fire stick has an app but we haven't been able to do the long directions on how to set it up where Roku is just you just need the Wi-Fi code
Do I need to have HBO or other channel subscription with my cable company in order to access them on these devices? Or do I just need to have internet service and then can buy the apps and view on my tv with these devices?
Will the Roku voice button do things like “go back 30 seconds”?
RUclips isnt really new to fire stick. RUclips was there before they added the voice control and volume button
Kissed & made up, they did😎
Eh, you could always just use legit youtube in a browser lol. I hate the youtube app as you cant read comments xD
Got a 4K firestick, was able to put kodi and other free movie/tv shows on it, can’t complain. Never owned a Roku though..only owned android boxes before, and the firestick kicks their ass if you know how to “use it” properly.
I'm at the beginning of this video and I'm seeing the HDMI sticking out of the Roku device I disagree with that because you're putting more weight on your HDMI unless they did a comparison with the weight of the stick versus the cords also easier to catch on things so it Yanks it so it is an interesting thought
which one is better for sports? like boxing and NFL , UFC NBA AND MLB?
Am I crazy for thinking of one for the living room and the other for the bedroom? How difficult is it to buy one and move it from tv to tv? Thanks for the video. It is very helpful. My son will be thrilled I have another resource rather than asking him all the time!
Go ahead and grab two. It will get old switching them from one tv to the other.
I just plugged my headphones into my phone and it worked, thanks. For a while I didn't want to watch roku tv because of sound, especially at night.
Yeah great but i wanted to know what shows were on it.verses the other one.and or what radio stations too
Does Amazon stick enable connection to OTA (over the air) TV channels for TV cord cutters?
Get acquainted with your source button - it's not hard
Nah, but you can download apk's that allow you to livestream channels via your internet. Or just use a browser to find channel streaming sites.
I'm tired of cable, I used it sents 1986. That being said they just keep jacking up prices and taking away channels. This stick thing is all new to me but your video helped me
Great video! Think I'll go with Roku, do I need one for each TV?
Yeah, you would need one for each tv. I highly suggest going with the firestick tho. He didn't mention the fact that the firestick runs on a modified android os and can run just about any apk via sideloading them from a pc or by using the free downloader app thats in the native app store. Roku is limited to it's streaming "channels"
I have amazon fire tick and my dad want to watch soccer ⚽️games? Any suggestions? Any channel or app to download? Please help
Bro I got some firesticks already JB I do facetime to hit me up for details.
The fire tv remote is so sleek and smooth i have dropped it a couple times
Get you one of those nifty silicone covers (available on Amazon of course) and protect your investment
Yes I agree, I bought the cover and it’s great! Not slippery and the bright orange is much easier to spot than the plain black remote that slips down into the cushions.
Can you download cinema tv on the roku ?
Can you get local stations with the Roku ?
Roku interface seems nicer. Too bad Roku doesn’t support Dolby Vision while the Firestick 4K does.
Yeah, my boyfriend has a fire TV stick, and the main thing that bothers me is the sloppy interface lol. He wasn't sure what I was talking about, but I told him that it feels like you're trying to wade threw a messy room lol trying to find things. Needs to be more sream lined lol.
I was thinking about getting my own fire stick, or a roku...lol.
“Lol”
What's better for home theatre, fire stick, or roku?
How does roku fair with universal remotes? It's been hit or miss getting them to work with firetv at best.
You can also mirror your cellphone to either the roku or the fire stick
Amara Leigh can you show me how to do that I try to mirror mines but it gives me an app that I have to pay for
I have a smart tv. I can't use mirroring from my iphone or tablet to my smart tv. Does Raku or fire stick support mirroring?
firestick does
Finish watching the video am going for the ROKU. Thanks
Can u side load apps on Roku like the Firestick?
Not unless you can load a browser on Roku
And you have to pay monthly for a web browser for $5 more a month
No, not on the roku sticks at least. Even if you jailbreak them there isn't enough internal storage or memory to store and run apks smoothly.
I don't have echo or a Alexa and I have Roku's on all my tv's with my cable sub. which I want to get rid of and so which one will I get and be able to have access to the channels I like without spending a fortune.
Do you have to pay for any sports with the fire stick .
Do they both have Funimation because I’m an anime fan and I want to get the one that has the app
Yeah they both do. I'm actually here because I need Funimation on my TV as well. I'll probably choose Roku.
One thing about the FireTV stick as well. It's an Android based operating system. Which means you can also side load a lot of stuff as well, including various applications to watch movies for free
