    A monarch that's not just trying to steal your kills without helping at all in any other way? Wow didn't know that was possible, respect!

      As someone who plays Monarch sometimes it sounds like the most scumbag thing to just steal kills. At least help out and I may let you get that battery

    As someone well versed in rocket salvo monarch, its pretty good for burst damage and you can launch all your missiles unguided or guided. Either way they do about 2~ bars of health. Four with ready and rearm,
    Edit: need to add the fact you can also curve your missiles around objects, like when you had that northstar at 8:25 you had a full lock and just needed to flick your camera to the side and release while theres still a lock, its basically tones missiles but you have to be a bit faster

    Normally me and the homies would focus a monarch instantly apon landing (as well as the pilot by name) so far your the only other respectable monarch ive found

    One thing that could have made you a bigger menace is locking rockets and shooting them from behind cover since they curve like Tone’s. It’s a good option for when you want to leave a battle with a parting gift. Also you seemed really eager for full lock ons. I usually lock a few until I need to release and since it slowly refills over time that allows me to always have rockets whenever I need them

    Actually you can fire all of your missiles without any locks. You do this by clicking & letting go before a lock occurs, & monarch will fire all of their rockets in their chamber.

    honestly full rocket monarch is a guilty pleasure, solely for the fact no one ever anticipates it
    the amount of times ive flanked or punished overconfidence with 2 full lock-on dumps of rockets and just getting to watch their entire health bar vanish feels amazing (doomed titans especially are extremally vulnerable to it which greatly adds to the mind game ("surely this monarch will rush me for a battery, no?"))
    i will say though i personally find arc rounds overrated, since it doesn't actually increase damage it only increases damage/drain to shields (minus the 10 extra bullets that do not add as much as one would think) - unless going full chaingun, tier 1 rockets will always be my go to since you can get insane burst damage for free as long as you aim for a titans feet and go for splash

    I could see this core path being reworked to make it more viable. Because the way its structured right now makes it seem like the intent was to make rockets your primary means of damage but it just takes far to long with not alot of pay off.
    First core: gives you extra rockets plus the damage buff from the third core
    Second core: the Rearm one (doesnt need changing imo )
    Third core: does what it currently does aswell as reducing the cool down for rocket salvo and energy siphon. So know youll almost always have access to both your ordnance.

    I run a build similar to this with rearm and reload. Always use rocket salvo right after you stun an enemy, it makes it harder to avoid the rockets

    Missile boat monarch is fun! Challenging to get to core three, though. I always feel devastated when I take a sudden massive chunk of damage at core 2.

    I've been testing with this one since seeing this video, this is my second comment here. Here are some pros I found with missiles
    It's a good option when out of ammo, like in Titanfall 1 the goal isn't to fire all at once. It's to chip at the health of a titan, but it's capable of some BIG BIG BONKS.
    Try to avoid tapping the key/bumper, but hold to fire at least 1 row of missiles. It throws off other titans, even the skilled ones since nobody uses the tracking missiles.
    Tracking missiles have a faster velocity than normal, so sitting back can be frustrating for enemy titans. I like to shoot them one at a time to force some cool downs
    As for the biggest con. Corners. I hate corners using this thing. Still not as good as arc rounds and accelerator (which I wish people would stop using) but it certainly smacks when people are unsure of how to deal with it.
    Avoid ion. At all cost.

    As a MTMS main myself, id say that its actually pretty solid. With increased damage and the ability to (somewhat) curve your shots and shoot out the entire clip at pilots, its pretty good if you know how to use it.

  • @shutin945
    @shutin945 9 месяцев назад +1

    Once you get the third core the cooldown acts like ions vortex shield meaning you dont HAVE to get all missiles locked on and can fire any number in the salvo and shoot the rest later making the ordinance more versatile and alway up. Missile salvo Is also better in attrition for pilots hiding and farming reapers for core. Like many have said it also tracks around corners like tone rockets but not as good

      @deeznuts23yearsago 11 месяцев назад +1

      I honestly don’t even play with energy thief since if I carry battery backup I can just heal any time I need and over core can just be again the battery backup

    What sucks about monarch is that why do fun stuff like shitting out 10 tracking rockets when you can heal on execution, have more health than an ogre class, and drain enemy shields. Wish the fun upgrades were more viable

    This loadout but with battery thief and counter-ready (or whatever second smoke is called) SMACKS EVERYTHING! YOU SEE ANYTHING? ROCKETS FROM THE SIDE! MAELSTROM COUNTER CLOSE RANGED ENEMIES

  • @titan_uprising

    As a Monarch boat missle launcher main I don't think you had everything correct on how we actually play. seemed like after your first games or so you kind of started to get the hang of it but there were some issues.
    okay so one issue with your kit that when swapped makes salvo monarch incredibly reliable. rearm and reload. run this over maelstrom every day when running salvo monarch. even though maelstrom damage is good, the utility from rearm and reload is just better on salvo monarch. imagine all the times where you lost health because of how slow the rearm is.
    secondly your reload speed being 25% faster on top means you have a lot more suppressing fire potential.
    being able to have less down time on both your rockets and your general bullets actually gives you a higher dps than chaingun monarch consistently because remember arc rounds only allow you to drain energy based health a little faster(ie legion shield, tone shield, overshield)
    also you can be extremely aggressive with this loadout, you dont need to hang back all the time. the dps you can output paired with overcore means you are going to be popping your core extremely consistently if you are just dumping rockets down their throats.
    and while I hate to say it, you just gotta work on your dumb fire accuracy. the lock on is great for engagement or curving rockets around shields/walls, but not being able to accurately dumb fire mid engagement is causing you to lose a lot of damage. Not to mention since the lock is restricted to core 3, and you have been playing more cautiously to get to core 3, getting to core 3 is just taking longer than it should. whereas if you get your dumb fire accuracy up, having core 1 is almost equivalent to having core 3. and core three just becomes a damage bump of 250 to 350 damage per rocket with some added flexibility of curving rockets.

      @titan_uprising 10 месяцев назад

      should also note that yes while maelstrom damage is nutty, most of the community knows that and tends to just steer clear of smoke anyways. use that as psychological warfare then and it can slow people down enough to think twice while you break away and escape

  • @someoneunknown8730
    @someoneunknown8730 11 месяцев назад

    Well, bro im not a monarch main, but i think you should either run rearm as soon as it got ready for some extra shield generation, or run energy thirf just for extra core generation and rare executions. Combine it with overcore and you need only 70% of core instead of 100%
    And also you can curve rockets above shields like legions
    Anyway, cool videos please make one about support monarch with shield share, aoe siphon and faster rearm cooldown
