Over 4 Feet of Snow! Finding the Goods at Mt Rose.

It was a weird day all around on the mountain. Rose was closed Sunday, but showed that both sides would be open at opening. On the way to the mountain they updated the website to show that Zephyr was delayed. They already had people on the lift when I parked at 8:45. By the time I got to the on the lift at the scheduled opening time at 9, the face runs were already tracked out, which meant I spent most of the morning searching through the trees for good turns.
They then carried over the wonkiness from the early morning to opening Zephyr mid-morning. They had announced on the site that it was opening at 11. 11 rolled around and ski patrol came up to the crowd gathering at the rope that it wouldn't be open for another hour. I took a few laps while the site showed "Closed" to then all the sudden see that Zephyr was actually opened at 11:36!

Nah, this was from a week ago. I was behind on editing with work and prepping for the holidays.
