Hiw do you hook them I got some without hooks but can't work out what hooks to use etc
They're best fished, in my opinion, with weedless hooks. For the larger soft plastics I would recommend either Savage Gear 3 gram 6/0 hooks or Owner beast 6/0 7 grams hooks. The hooks come with a twist lock on the eye of the hook, which you pierce and twist into the head of the lure and then set your hook into the body. Beautiful videos Dave, really enjoying. Im from the UK originally but am now out on the west coast of California surf casting for California Halibut. If you ever come over, bring your bass gear, it will work a treat for Halibut and white seabass. Meanwhile I'm gonna keep watching. Tight lines bro

Nice video and some good fish there, well done. How much weight do you use on the hook? I have some Gravity Sticks but they come in a bit too shallow for my liking.
Thanks for watching! The hooks I use are Savage gear 6/0 hooks and they are weighted with 3 grams. However, I cut a slice of lead just big enough to wrap around the hook along the shank, the overall weight of the hook is now about 8/9grams. Perfect for slow retrieving on the bottom or bouncing on the bottom with rougher water 👍😀

How weight are you adding Dave? I have them but find they cast terribly
Get a Stanley knife and cut a strip of lead about 1cm thick and as long as it needs to be to fit on the hook shank, then take a pliers and just squeeze it around the hook 🪝
Matt try the strips you get for weighting down of plants in aqaurium that is what I do for my tiny trout grubs
