Brand new user here and you hit my question out of the park! I have a follow up in 2 weeks at Costco, so now I’m prepared to ask several questions of my guy. Thanks for the details.
Hey Brian, just learned something from you again: free wax guards from Costco...my guy never even stressed wax guards..3 months and overdue. Thanks so much!!
Thank you so much. I am going to Costco in 50 mins to get my first ever hearing aids. When I went for first appointments I had thought for sure I would pick the jabra 20. But after trying the jabra then the Phillips I liked the sound of the Phillips. So today is a big day for me. Lol thank you for your videos I have learned so much.
Thanks. This was very helpful. I am a new Phillips user and a forgetful one too. Forgot what the super friendly team at Costco showed me. They said either change them monthly or bring them in and they would do it for me.
Glad it was helpful! Welcome to the group! We are here to help our hearing aid users! Glad you had good experience at Costco, and yes they can change it for you. Hope you’re enjoying your new Philips hearing aids! Tell us what you like most so far about them?
@@HearingClub This is my third set of hearing aids in about 13 years. I bought the first two sets through my ENT’s audiology department for more than double the cost from COSTCO with very limited after the sale service. The team at COSTCO have given me more and better service in the last 5 weeks than I received in the last 13 years. The hearing aids are the best I have ever used. The app meets my needs and I am just so happy with them. They are crisp and clear. I realize the technology has improved since my previous purchase but these are just superior to my old hearing aids. Thanks again.
That is awesome and glad to hear! That what separates Costco from private practices is their services! That is why we are here to extend the resources to you guys! End of the day we are a community helping out others!
I just got the 9050. So far so good. But I had to go back to Cosco. Cause I had to change the wax filter. I live in Sacramento Ca. The Cosco here showed me how to do it. My only prob is the rubber ear piece. I had a real prob with them. I hope I can get it right.
those silicone domes are very hard for some folks to replace, i understand. Just make sure you get them on all the way so they don't come off in your ear. I always do a "tug test" to make sure they don't just pop right off.
Can you remove the dome and wash it with warm soap and water? I just got these Phillips 9030 and I'm one of those folks that really has a lot of ear wax so i'm going to have to do maintenance a bit more often
well if you have the philips from costco, you get free domes. As many as you need. I would just change them when they get full of wax. If you want to clean the domes, the best solution to clean them, and i was taught this when i first started.... Half rubbing alcohol and half white vinegar! This cleans the domes so well, the wax just washes right off. Put the mixture in a spray bottle, shake it up and spray it on a little paper towel. You dont even need to remove the domes, just squish it around in the wet paper towel! Report back!
If you’re a member to Costco and bought your hearing aids from there, Go to Costco it’s free. Whereas Amazon, you’re looking into $16-$30. It depends on which hearing aid you have. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
@HearingClub Good morning. Just wondering if you have an update of when the Philips review will be posted. I am a first time hearing aid candidate for mild/moderate hearing loss and would really value your opinion on both units. I will be using these as my daily music earbuds so that could also impact my decision. Thanks for the helpful information you give all of us consumers.
We are currently working on the review for Philips. We just released a video out about price reduction at Costco that includes Philips. Thank you for your patience and supporting us!

What to do if wax guard is stuck? Thanks!
i use a dental pick to get it out of there. Just be careful not to hurt the receiver and Jack (my son) wanted me to tell you "dont stab yourself"
Thank!
Who do I get the mold from? Does Costo make molds for an additional cost?
Yup, 40.00 per side
I had to have an ear mold made because I generate a great deal of wax,is that possible
Yes!
yayyyy I can hear again
Nice!
Can I get er molds instead of wax guards
You can get a custom mold instead of using silicone domes. They will both have wax guards.
