    Hi Alex I’m in the UK. Please can I ask you if a Toric Monofocul Lens comes in different strengths

    • @iol-adviser
      @iol-adviser  11 месяцев назад

      Hi. Sure, every IOL comes in different optical power to be adapted to particular eye. Moreover, the way how we do calculate the IOL will determine the optimal visual acuity distance, especially for monofocal lens.
      By the way, nowadays with release of advanced monofocal lenses, which are giving to a patient an improved intermediate visual acuity I strongly recommend to go with that type of lenses if monofocal is your option. Of course, they are availabe in toric.
      Wish you a great vision!

    Thank you. I will eventually get surgery and I have been learning as much as possible for over a year. I wish we had a person besides the surgeon to help us make choices but in the USA I don’t see that happening

    Hi Sir, if possible please make a video comparison between Lucidis, Eyhance & Vivity because these EDOF Lenses are confusing like Lucidis advertise for all vision Near, Intermediate and far, if possible also include luxsmart iol

    • @iol-adviser
      @iol-adviser  2 года назад +1

      Eyhance and Vivity for sure, despite they are from different class, Lucidis proably not as there is not enough reliable data.

    Can I replace mu implant lens that I already did and replace with Eyhanve to improve the intermediate distance . Is it possible if how easy it is?

    In the U.S. insurance will only cover the cost of a monofocal lens implant.
    If you want a premium lens implant you are forced to pay out of pocket up to 8 to 10 times the cost of the lens itself. It's BIG business here.
    Anyway, thanks for the video and take care.

      Yes. Premium solutions are available at private segment only. It is a big business, but it is a cost of technologies.

      Those european countrys have no defense budget. They know we'll (usa) protect them. They're supposed to pay us some but don't. Trump tried to get them to pay up but he's out. Most of our budget is self defense. So European's live high on the hog being they don't have that expense at our expense.

    hi. thanks Alex. I'm monocular. should I get a monofocal? I'm 42. I'm -10 nearsighted right now. I was thinking about Eyhance. I have a buckle on my eye from retinal detachment surgery. thanks.

      with ordinary monofocal lens you will have very shallow depth of field and will need glasses too often. Eyhance is a good option
