Your content is so great, this channel should have many more subscribers! I love how smooth and clear your flow of the day is, how easy you make it look, which I'm sure it is not (at least not at all times) :) I love how consistent you are with the 35mm and how varied your shots are, your storytelling through stills, amazing. Even though I'm not following you for the gear tips, I genuinely love your work and your flow, I need to ask - I see you went back to Nikon (my choice too and a bit of a learning curve for me switching from D810 to my Z6II) and I'm wondering how you find managing the autofocus modes on the fast paced wedding day. Which one do you usually use, especially in shots from high up, which may not be easy in terms of seeing where you or the camera is focusing, same for the reception dances and crowds. Just out of curiosity :)
Thank you so much for the kind words - it means a lot!! Lately I've been using the dynamic single point in continuous focus. If I'm shooting something with a lot of motion and I'm shooting in a higher f stop like f/4, I'll switch to one of the larger focus points. I like having control of exactly where the focus point is going to be. If I'm having trouble in low light, I switch to single focus with a focus assist light. Dancing photos over my head, I shoot at f/13 with the large focus point option. Usually, I do this with single focus rather than continuous. Shooting that high of an F stop, chances are your subject will be in focus.... most of the time haha! Anything else over my head I just take advantage of the tilt screen and have a general idea of where the focus point needs to be.
I enjoy your quality content. Thank you! Greetings from Southern California ☀️
Learning a lot from you, thanks for the video. Your directing skill is awesome!
A silly question, but why didn't you photograph the flatlays on the table? Why was it better next to the window?
I shot by the window because that was the best natural light and I used the window frames as texture and leading lines!
Many thanks about to do my first wedding in years. Gives me great ideas with the BTS especially 🎉🎉🎉
So glad to hear it! Good luck!!
Great BTS as always! I would be interested in hearing more about using a small on-camera light for stills. Haven't seen many wedding photographers with this technique.
Noted!
Many thank great BTS learnt a lot ❤️
BTS is great!! What kind of strap is that
ya que usas diferentes modelos de camara. que diferencia hay entre la S5II de lumix y la nikon z7II?
The lights you set up the ceremony was that just a key light or did you use it as a flash too?
Awesome!! What lenses are you using,if you don’t mind sharing 😊
I shoot almost only on a 35. Once in a blue moon I will pull out an 85!
The BTS video is so helpful thank you 🙏🏻 by the way you used prime lens all the time. Are they 35mm and 50mm?
Glad you found it helpful and thanks for watching!! I shoot a 35mm and an 85mm. 98% of the time I have a 35mm mounted.
@@fortemke oh thank you 🙏🏻

That z7 II is legit.
Sold the lumix?
What on camera light are you using?
The on camera light was a lume cube panel light
What happened to the lumix s5mk2 ?
The video guys are using it - we had a camera go down!
I'm a s5mk2 owner currently full time video but starting to get few photo bookings which do you prefer the nikon or s5mk2 wnd do you sell @@fortemke
do you sell your presets as your colours are stunning
s5ii has way better autofocus, but I had some problems with it freezing up once in a while. Still a great camera for photos
I’m new to shooting weddings and your videos are so helpful in learning flow and direction thank you for posting these!
Just not a fan of constantly directing the wedding day is too unnatural plus do you use the screen to shoot every shot? I bet the battery doesnt last too long?
Love the poses and prompts.

10:06 and that is exactly why I advocate for clients NOT to have a wedding party. It's set nowhere in stone that you must have bridesmaids and or groomsmen. People really do forget it's their wedding, not their friends, not their cousins, siblings or whoever else they decide to have in there stealing the spotlight. But I'm just a drunk. What do I know.
10:53 Gorgeous venue, a shame they used such ugly chairs tho.
