I would call this method, cut and butt. This can be used in numerous applications. Again, you are a master craftsman and I enjoy and learn from each and every one of your videos.
Nice job your doing here, cost is high but these cars are worth it in my opinion.Your bringing original art work back to where it belongs and doing a great job, love the progress.
Spent the time and the end result is nice . I notice you only used a small piece from the donor , did what you after do to finish the job . I like your videos .
Brother, you really are a master craftsman. It is truly awesome to watch you take on projects that are tough going, and yet you turn out something that is incredible 👏. God bless you for all the incredible work you do and for sharing your experience and workmanship.
I’ve recently discovered your channel and it’s really been helpful. One of the things that I’m realising is I am at liberty to drill out plug welds, or take whatever radical means are necessary to make something fit etc. That all panels don’t come ready fitted. Some of them are horrible and rusty stuff can be a nightmare, but I’m _allowed_ to take whatever measures I need to make the things fit. The panels are not God lol. Some of the panel beating community has me thinking I need to be very qualified to do some of this stuff, when really a lot of it is purely simple decisions made one after the other.
@WesW3187 Well let me tell you something, arm yourself with a little of the ( correct ) knowledge and you can do anything anyone else can ! I make these videos for people like you. The 2 biggest mistakes I see people make is 1 not trying and 2 listening to too many ( experts ) online..... yes if you try you will make mistakes... that is how you learn. I really appreciate your support..if you have anyquestions leave them in the comments.
This work is done at an admirable standard. Some commenters use the word craftsman - and that’s dead on. Even when he’s working on a part that nobody will see after assembly, Robert seeks a level of quality that shows respect for the work and himself. Congrats to those who have Robert build their car. For me it’s valuable too as it models the level of work I can try for when working even on small fixes on my 68 Chrysler. Thanks for these videos Robert.
Thank you Sir for that very generous compliment ! trying to keep craftsmanship alive..... "quality" and "high standard" should be associated with everything a man puts his hand to..... 68 Chrysler, nice !

hi, you mention in your video that they dont make the inner wheelhouse panel solo. heads up i bought inner wheelhouse panels off of ebay. panel is by dynacorn. im not repairing vert but a sedan not sure if it makes a difference but i figured id message ya about it since im using your vids as reference to repair my 63 sedan.
Inner wheel houses are available for the coupe and hard top but no one reproduces convertible inner wheel houses, the convertible is very different. Thanks
@@guzzifabrication3448 I think he meant they make inner and outers separately at least they make them for 63 I had to use outer quarter wheel wells to make outer wheelhouse and hand fab inners for my 61
Robert I messed up when sandblasting the under side of my 64 impala hood an blasted out the expoxy puddy that holds hood skin off main frame is there away to repair or do I just need new hood
Wonder if the customer understood they were probably going to spend most (all? more?) of a $1,000 bucks just fixing wheel wells (which no one is ever going to see). That was an outstanding repair, this must be an important car.

Your a friggin magician….I am buying some flap discs as I never saw anyone use them like you do!
I love using the flap wheel. Anything else really takes off too much metal and is too aggressive for thin metal
You do excellent work man! Such a smart way to do it
Thanks I really appreciate the comment !
You set the bar really high. Thanks for another excellent video.

Great work guzzi! It's Jorge I spoke to you earlier
It was good talking to brother !
Beautiful! Need more vids like this. What grit for knockdown?
Carefully with a 36 grit flapwheel, Doing this , you really want to focus on making flat welds so there isn't a lot of grinding or sanding

Is it a reason not to use the whole new wheel house because u have it anyway?
The replacement wheel house is incorrect, they do not make it convertible inner and outer wheelhouse..... the only option is to rebuild it
If you turned you mig pliers over it would clip the end and leave stick out
Thanks
