Hey Robert Just wanna say Thank you and Iam very Grateful for your Channel!..Gotta Support My Texas Gente!..For you sharing I wanna share my personal tips I've been using since I'm doing things the poor man's way...I've been using a pump sprayer from harbor freight..the big jug you use for spraying a garden..I fill it with phosphoric acid from home Depot(Metal prep and etch..blue liquid) and I spray the hard to reach areas to clean surface rust. I learned that by myself. Just thought I'd share.
Local Ford dealership introduced me to panel bond and suggested I use it much like they do when I was in a roof replacement project last year after seeing this video I’m really grateful I didn’t take that advice. However I can only imagine the number of vehicles that the local Ford dealershiphas sent back out on the road with this stuff
Yeah the industry wants to push that stuff to keep repair costs down and speed up repair time to maximize profit, I get it... but I will always repair the tried and true way... Thanks for the comment !
Good evening Robert, I do like those large cutoff wheels you use on your cordless grinder. What brand are they and where did you get them. Thanks for another fine video. You take care and good luck.
@@guzzifabrication3448thank you for that information. Big fear of exploding wheels, so I have stayed away from the larger sizes, figuring it is a lot slower but as a diy guy safer. Kinda been busy since the hurricane last week and finally had a chance to sit down and watch your new video. As always, superb work and prep! I need to just make these a playlist and just listen all day! Thanks for the great information!
Not too bad in NE Georgia, but a few miles north it's very bad. Western N and S Carolina and E Tennessee, it's really bad. I've been in utility work for 33 years (before Hurricane Andrew) and was in the military for over 18 years and deployed several times. This is one of the worst ever. Thanks for asking. If you get a chance, perhaps you can explain and show how you built your frame fixture for supporting the bodies frame off. As to what points specifically need to be supported to keep from making a taco out of the body. Thanks for the videos you make! They've been a valuable resource for a DIY guy like me
That's what I was looking for! Kinda feel like a numbskull....I thought I'd searched for it. Perfect instructions and now I know what materials to get! Thanks Robert!
Enjoyed the video. I am in the process of redoing quarter panels that a hack body shop installed. Do you spray a primer under the VHT epoxy spray? What sealer do you use for the door jam seam? What sealer do you use for the trunk drip rails where you weld the quarter panels? Do you use sealer between the rear deck panel and the quarter panels? That seems like a place for water leaks. Thank you. I will check out more of your videos.
Good save. Who would want to sculpt all that filler? I’m guessing the previous artist wasn’t a welder or a good panel fitter. O well, it fell into the right hands now. Thanks for sharing

Curious as to why you plug weld all those places where a resistance welder has easy access? Anywhere I can't get tongs the plug weld is great. But where I can, the spot welder is so much faster.
The answer to that question is the "bigger picture ".... I have several videos on using the resistance welder, there is more than one method, why not showcase it too ?
Three most important tools anyone can bring with them when going to look at a car. -A dental pick -A magnet -The ability to walk away If the magnet doesn't stick, and the pick goes through, see item three.
