So glad to have people playing Bishop - I've been so excited to see how he plays and he doesn't disappoint. It's interesting to see you make decisions that I would have avoided or perhaps never thought of, but still get clean (and usually better) results! 😂😢
Oh, and I have you to thank (or is it blame?) for convincing me to pick up Sinister Motives - one of the best expansions I've played through and gave me one of my favourite heroes in Ghost Spider. Still haven't beaten Venom Goblin though...
Hahaha I appreciate that! There are so many different decisions in the game so it’s hard to say what would happen. Really glad to hear you got SM and are enjoying it. So Ghost-Spider is a hero that I thought could not defeat expert VG, but you gotta check out Steve from BeatDGame he demolishes VG with a masterful play with Gwen. Really enjoyed that game!

bishop seems to have what i call the "hawkeye problem", sometimes you get a hand full of arrows/resources that you can't do anything with, sometimes you don't get any and you're left wondering what you're doing with your life
and you better be sure you're going to miss your quiver/absorbtion even when you have 5 targets in a 10-card deck
Hahaha I can see that and it definitely happened to me with his hero ability. I didn’t like that as much and tried leaning more into his more consistent alter-ego ability :)
@@webwarriorfanatic i do like the 18dmg basic attack though, that's definitely the highlight of his kit
but it's hard to be impressed by other heroes when i'm already in love with cable and captain marvel :)
@@rickmel09 oh yea the 18 is nice. I agree Cable set a really high bar. Marvel I wished her Energy Channel wasn’t max 1 per player but Bishop can do both!!
@@webwarriorfanatic i mostly love carol as an engine for swarming the board with mighty avengers, only charge up the laser against villains that sort of demand an OTK like venom goblin (or when i end up with the spare resource in hand)

After your games against expert Apocalypse with Magik and Bishop, what's your take on him and where do you think he lands in difficulty? Is he more Stryfe level, Magneto/Venom Goblin level or Ronan level?
Hard to say right now. I’d have to try him with heroes I’m more familiar with for a better reference, but if I had to say now then he’s around Stryfe level. The only caveat to this is there are certain strong heroes that make Magneto trivial (like my first game with Spider-Man Peter Parker vs Magneto) so maybe Apocalypse just feels a little easy with Bishop/Magik. Also the 2 AoA heroes counter the way Apocalypse plays!
Definitely more Stryfe than anything else. He's been easier so far than just about any other final villain, including Red Skull (who admittedly is no pushover himself). There's just not very much going on with Apoc. Like, Ancient Ritual does almost nothing (on solo) so you can easily ignore that.
@@svendejong8110 That's unfortunate. I was really hoping for him to be about as difficult as Magneto and Venom Goblin.
@@Bumbum_Inspector Nah, VG's level he's certainly not. Maybe one or two different modulars can spice him up, but I'd have to look into that.

Double Supercharge is explosive, as it should be.
I'm sure someone has run the math on how many resource cards to run to consistently hit the effects you want without drawing all resource hands.
Super-Charge is amazing! Not too sure on the numbers, but rng is rng unfortunately :/ I was really turned off by his hero ability bc of the rng, but like you’re saying maybe it can be mitigated with an exact amount!
Apocalypse looks like a lot of fun. Not super hard but definitely not a pushover. I'm patiently waiting for him to reach the UK.

I felt some players would sleep on Bishop. I’m waiting for my AoA order. My shop ordered it for me! From what I’m seeing, many like him in Yellow. Of course this could change per villain. Maybe testing Bishop in Yellow verse Red Skull. That side scheme deck is nastiness.
Nice!!! Excited for you to get it and try him out. I definitely fell in that trap and slept on Bishop. Now he’s one of my favorites and I’m digging him in justice :)
