I play multiplayer every week and the top tier heroes on this list are the strongest in higher player counts as well. Also if it was about rushing in true solo against the top 3 villains, Deadpool would be #1 in S++ tier so not sure if this would make sense

@webwarriorfanatic Interesting. We also do multiplayer every week (3 regulars and a rotating 4th person who's experience varies), doing pretty much every scenario except Ronin and Nebula. Our experiences seem very different from yours on some heroes. Could just be playstyle differences idk. Can't speak on Deadpool though. It's the only character/cards nobody in our group was interested in, so it's the only set we didn't get.

I think you guys did a great job ranking this stuff! I agree with almost everything, except probably the X-Force. I think Uncanny X-Force is quite powerful, since it gives everything +1 thwart even when you thwart the main. It probably isn't awesome for everyone, but heroes like Psylocke with Psychic Kicker or Colossus who struggles with thwarting can run that really well, and I could see that . Uncanny X-Men is def way better, but I think I'd personally bump X-Force up just a skosh. And apologies, I def don't mean to be Mr. Contradiction or anything, I just really enjoy discussing this stuff and like seeing where other people approach the game from! It was fun seeing both of you be so courteous while disagreeing.

@@Rathamak Thank you! And no worries, that’s a very valid point. Uncanny X-Force does help a lot with thwarting. I definitely see the case for it and wouldn’t mind it being higher. I think both me and Ancient Slumber felt that we were underrating it haha

Personally i would rank it B tier really just because there’s not much supports. Limitless Stamina is an A tier card forsure though

Overall good points, especially Web-Warrior being S or A 😉 I definitely see the case for Mutant being higher, especially in multiplayer. I’m surprised there aren’t more comments fighting for the mutants!

@@webwarriorfanatic I do think you get biased sometimes, but Web Warrior is a good trait with Web of Life and Destiny and an overall strong trait locked ally pool. Leadership WW is one of the strongest decks in the games due to the power of recursion combined with the defeat effects of WW. And Prot WW is no slouch with some very powerful allies and situationally good trait cards. Justice is underwhelming. So I mostly agree on A tier, but S is debatable on the back of the L deck.

When i defeated expert Venom Goblin with Peter Parker using only basic cards leaning heavily into web-warriors, many people told me “web-warrior is the strongest trait in the game.” Iirc you don’t think Spider-Man is a top hero right? Spider-Man + Web-Warrior package has cleared every expert scenario reliably and consistently for me the math doesn’t math if they’re both B tier

@webwarriorfanatic peter parker could be S tier I agree with you. Mostly because the strongest deck type is allie swarm, and you basically need a hero with good economy. But we have to draw a line, mystic has a far better pool of cards IMO. If you could make peter parker a mystic wouldn't you consider that stronger by a fair margin.?

@@DiosNoMames i actually don’t think mystic has a better card pool. When i play mystic characters like Strange and Warlock, the only mystic support i run is Sorcerer Supreme, usually not running Spiritual Meditation or Basic Spell. Imo Web-Warrior supports are superior because of its economy and versatility. I’ve often played 3 Swinging Web Kicks in one turn to OTK villains and that’s because of the card draw and tutor effect of Ghost-Spider combined with Peter’s innate economy. Recently I’ve been doing 4 Swinging Web Kicks in one turn rapid responsing Ghost-Spider 😆 no other trait can do that

@@DiosNoMames Web Warrior Leadership is one of the strongest decks in the game. Part of that is just because recursion is strong but it synergizes very well with the defeat effects of the WW. Prot WW is solid too, tho for the allies than the trait cards. p Pretty much all of the basic allies except one are very good and the Prot ones are even better.

I don’t get the MTG references but i appreciate fun non-optimal decks even if it’s not my favorite way to play. I’ve definitely made some janky decks for some of the weekly one-shots and had a lot of fun haha.

@ I’m going to try some of those soon, but I have been playing each hero against a standard and then an expert level villain. The first game lets me get used to the build, and then I don’t feel as nervous about tackling a tougher opponent. I’ve been debating trying Heroic, but I’m still new with a lot of the X-heroes, since I only got back in the game last August.

@@prufrock1977 gotcha. That sounds like a fun endeavor. I definitely get very overwhelmed sometimes playing an mutant hero for the first time (looks at Domino) so i think that’s a good strategy

Thanks Matt! I was actually highly considering the 14+ hit point “trait” for this. I agree Limitless Stamina and Unshakable are really good cards. Overall i decided to just leave it out for simplicity’s sake. I remember the first game i really saw value in Moira-it was a 2 player game where we stun/confuse locked the villain and alternated 1 player always in AE. Moira drew a card every turn and it was insane lol

I agree with WWF here ^^ And yeah, Mutants are awesome for multiplayer! I love those cards in my 3 player games as well :)

Oh, and regarding the SHIELD trait, it's true that deck manipulation can be very strong in Heroic. Unfortunately from my experience there are so many bad cards to draw against strong Villains, there are also a lot of surges and combine that with drawing 2 encounter cards each round, I often found myself manipulating the deck and getting worse cards than the ones I discarded lol

@@TracerQQ Spider-Man Peter Parker doesn’t have the web-warrior trait in Marvel Champions. A lot of people this was because the web-warrior trait wasn’t developed yet, but there’s ways to make him a web-warrior by attaching the upgrade, Warrior of the Great Web to him

@webwarriorfanatic she on honestly only needs 2 extra interfaces down to have a better economy and power then the average hero.

@@metascrub285 the 3 handsize is rough in my experience even when fully built out. If she draws only resource cards or 0 cost cards even if her suit is fully built out there’s not much she can do for that specific turn. And resource cards are vital to help pay for her upgrades early game

@@fernandofete Thor is one of my favorites (character wise) and I was really excited to play him and try to recur Mjolnir. That strategy didn't work out and I've been pretty down on him ever since but Squared Off is really fun. Maybe you can proxy the Squared Off until you can get Magneto, I think that's the only new card I use and you can see if you like this combo with Thor
