Fantastically detailed and well written review, you persuaded me to give this game a chance. The quality of your scripts and edits deserves more attention, and I hope you get it. Hell I'm so impressed I'll forgive you the awful dollar-store Rage Against the Machine track playing in the background which I'm going to be humming for the rest of the day. SO THANKS FOR THAT. 🙃
just to touch on the console version, last gen experiences some serious frame rate issues at times and had this really aggravating aim acceleration. On current gen consoles, the visuals are on par with the PC version with really smooth frame rates, but unfortunately the aim acceleration was replaced with very noticeable input lag.
A very good review of a favorite "40K" game I bought on release day, you nailed the best & worst of it better than anyone else doing a profile of it my friend!
Good review, Thanks! You essentially already hinted at it in your review, but I think it's worth keeping in mind that for something to objectively be "better" there need to be established standards of what that means. Aside from personal preferences that might make certain things into dealbreakers or on the other hand might not matter to the person in question at all. Personally I'm not really interested in Doom Eternal as I dislike much about the aesthetics and the very ready-made precise gameplay loop (not to mention the story and possibly the platforming). I liked, not loved Doom 16, but really enjoyed Shadow Warrior 2 and Hired Gun, though not for entirely the same reasons. Overall this one has some problems, but it's just as underrated as Doom Eternal is overhyped.
I have it on ps5 and it is smooth at 4k 60 with minor performance blips since the game have an fps counter even on console, I don't have a single crash at! all and the game have a little bit of stutter weirdly enough not related to fps drops but this stutters in gameplay are 1 to 2 seconds max but they are noticeable since the game is so smooth elsewhere,,one area that always stutters is the loading cinematic where your guy is walking with the mastiff it always stutters ! Even stopping for a second or 2 but that's all in a game that gameplay wise performs smoother than most AAA game and yes I have what any other player have no matter the sistem ! The Jank ! At this point I see it as a feature lol if Bethesda can why an indie team can to?🤣
Check out the Vote for the next game to be covered! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxmY7JSa2jI9pEoyAtW1qEREkxpDwfEjhu
