    This group made me think a lot of things, but I will go in order:
    1) The play style in France is so much different from what we see in the USA, I loved to see the players pick so many different routes and having such frenetic games.
    2) The team with the worst name ever (Kimeo) has improved a lot from the world championship, I tought they were overated at first, but I was proven wrong here
    3) I can tell right now that the Crows will be one of the best teams in the next WCT season. I got impresed with every single one of them, specially after losing one member (that seemed to be heading into the evasion in that chase) and keeping it close against an elite team
    4) West coast family did a good job, but they were very lucky that they didn't face Blacklist first when Antoine and Abdallah (I'll deep into this in the next point) were fresh, because that was a big factor in the result.
    5) Honestly, the match between Blacklist and WCF was the most outrageous spectacle I have ever witnessed in WCT. I can't understand the strategy behind using just the same two men that played the entire first match, and then just torturing Abdallah Marega after Antoine gets injured. Obviously there would be a point where he couldn't resist anymore and would lose. How is it possible that Sebastian did not think about that and even put him for THREE sudden death chases? If I was Abdallah, I'd feel disrespected for being expected to carry the team the whole match, he's one of the bests and deserves another team.

      UNDERRATED COMMENT ALERT
      Edit: Fr tho. Felt like a leadership decision, though, in the case of BL. 😞 If I was Abdullah we’d already be scouting out other team offers.

      I agree with you on all points except the last one. I think Abdullah wanted it too even though he was tired, he made himself believe he could do it and he almost did in 1st sudden death. We can clearly see in the clips, Abdullah was always ready to go.

      Geez and I thought Kyle soderman carried his team. When Anton got injured they only had abdallah as a power player. I don't get how blacklist dont dominate. Augustin, valentin, abdallah, the hadim bros, and Antoine are all powerful athletes with experience. They just need regular quad access to be the best in France. It's so weird to see them fall off like that

    • @felipeb8735
      @felipeb8735 8 месяцев назад +2

      This is the exact reason for me using those strong words, Blacklist is a very talented team overrall, even if Abdallah is the strongest one (and clearly the one with most endurance) and accepts to go out there, it wasn't either needed or convenient to use him that much over the others

    • @SickRedApple

      On your first point, a lot of French teams seem to have perfected this technique of having one foot on the obstacle and one on the floor, allowing them to pounce whichever way their opponent takes off towards. I saw this first in the French women's league, but Parkour 59, Kimeo and a couple of other teams are using this as well. Curious to see if the US teams are watching and taking notes

      Bro really was the guy in the group project who did all the work😂. But for real though I think it was irresponsible. Anton got injured and Abdallah chased so many times before. Chasing while exhausted is a recipe for injury in wct. That's why it's a team sport despite having a one on one dual format

      I think this is reflective of Sebastian's leadership and mentality. He thinks very highly of physical prowess and traditional techniques (specifically ones he developed) which makes adapting to new strategies and skill sets very difficult. I suspect he was trying to keep some secrets for the Kimeo game, but it definitely backfired.

      Yeah, those bars need some padding IMHO. Or the players need protective gear.

    • @kevind3974
      @kevind3974 8 месяцев назад +1

      Protection gear. Putting padding on the bars will actually make it more dangerous as the bars become more difficult the softer they are. It’s ironic I know.
      For protection gear I suggest skateboarding gear but less clunky as they will actually be taking hits but to big or ruff of equipment will harm them.
      My suggestions
      Originatal style football/rugby helmet (the soft leather ones from the 40s)
      Chin strap
      Shoulder strap (not guard)
      Knee slides (not pads)
      And a requirement on type of allowed shoes (no hard souls)
      Gloves are not a requirement but if used. Fingerless or open backed.
      The equipment needs high flexibility and no drag.

    • @ReleMatlala
      @ReleMatlala 8 месяцев назад +1

      it seems most of the players weren't in the right headspace, blacklist over played 2 of their members probably leading to exhaustion so when they fail to achieve their technical skill gets sloppy, an injury was bound to happen. Many of the injuries seemed to happen because they weren't thinking about technical skill as much as they were drive. idk tho

      @@ReleMatlala also experience. thou the quad is more common in France then a lot of other country's that the sports trained in. its still rare to actually find a working quad let alone be anywhere near it to train consistently on it.
      like all sports fields with proper training the quad is ment to work off of muscle memory. its ment to allow for movement to be as seamless as possible. more so in this sport then most others as its not an open field. but it only becomes that way with training on the actual pitch. something meny dont do till competition. inexperience breeds mistakes after all.

      I don't think they will. Blacklist are mainly parkour athletes who do speed competitions. Marrero gang got cooked at the world championships with their leader injury prone. Team phat prioritise parkour and don't really care about intense training. GNF got straight up disbanded and rebuilt by unknown project. Apex moon lost Seth and Jason. Breach is nowhere to be seen lol.

    Blacklist last chapter is heartbreaking. Anto injured on the chair, Abdallah giving 200% trying to carry it..
    First, they do not train as much as other top team PK59, Ucorp, Kimeo.
    They do not have easy access to a quad.
    I am not sure why the hadim brothers and valentin and did not play more, my guess is that they do not want to take the risk to get injured or are injured. Their movement is their income, they perform for differents shows as stuntmen.
    Augustin has been injured for the last few years and focusing on his rap career / others projects.
    IIRC they disbanded after this event. The crow might be their legacy, training with them and coming from the same org ( ADD ).

    The extremely questionable atrategic decisions from Blacklist kind of overshadow what an incredibly close bracket this was, multiple matches going down to the wire (not to mention to double SD for the second time in this tournament), an incredible upset, and generally the closest parity i think we've seen between established teams and the lower seeds.
    Gutted as a fan of The Crow from the prelims, they played really well and could have gone further were it not for injury (and Anton defecting to Blacklist only to get injured as well - hope everyone's recovered now 🙏). They've got a very bright future in the sport though, and excited to see how far they make it next season!

    why dont these people realise, in order to not get caught, use the obstacles to obstruct the chaser, once you go into the outer plains is just about speed and if youre slower, you will get caught. This is about speed and flexibility, as the chaser you have to rely on more atletics than speed, to get past obstacles with flexibility to try to catch your opponent.
