Middle-aged dude here with some experience travelling around the block. Whether it's just sex you're looking for or a meaningful relationship, the only thing you'll ever truly need in attracting women is good and solid self-confidence. And no, I don't mean arrogance or conceit or any kind of showboating or tough-talking, swaggering posturing BS,... but confidence: a sincere belief in yourself, your capabilities and value as a person that comes from within, and is not defined by anything external to you. You develop that, then you have a far greater chance in attracting the woman who is truly right for you, without needing to resort to any of these mind games. I won't say that self-confidence will protect you from a broken heart...but it most certainly will ensure that you'll always be able to pick yourself up off the canvass, heal-up, and get back in the game of life, like any true Warrior.

CaptainJosue is right. As a 44 year old man who never got married, no kids and being single for more than 16 years I totally agree with. It amazes me how women put so much energy on fear and insecurity within themselves unnecessarily. Because of this, it makes me mind my own business and enjoy my hobbies on my terms. It's true. When I was in college I had a hard time getting over insecurity bullshit and getting with the girl I had feelings for. In my pursuit I had 3 other women express interesting in dating. I lied to them and said I wasn't interested in dealing with a relationship. Truth was I just didn't want to hurt their feelings or confess that I had a crush on a different girl (who 2 of them knew). I ended up dating all 3 of them at the same time (but separately) they all knew and had no problem with it. It's actually one of the only true regrets I have in life. I dated 3 great women and ruined it just because I couldn't get over being sad about not getting get the one I wanted.
