The second key is not necessary. Nowhere in the policy does it say that in case of stolen vehicle both the keys are necessary. It's just something the insurance companies do to get out of paying the full amount. My car was stolen I had just one key. They tried to cut the payment. But fortunately my father is an insurance consultant. He fought them and got the full amount.

Insurance companies are the worst of scammers, never are they ever upto any good. 90% of the time it's impossible to claim an insurance and 99% of the time to get the full value back. 100% of the time you cannot get it straight away.
If you have lost your original key then you will have to go to the dealer from where you purchased your car/bike, then they will change your central buffer lock system and give you the new keys. This process may take a hefty price of around Rs 25k. But it is worth of your vehicle gets lost and you can claim the full amount otherwise your claim may get rejected
You missed the FR part, which police submits in the court stating bike couldn't be found, and you have to be present in court for that. And moreover police is not your friend here, keep in mind.

Complaint can't convert into the FIR always. You have to aware of this, and use gps device for your vehicle protection and location.
