She's on the Spectrum - high functioning - I'm feeling growing pains. Even though she's going to school locally I'm super anxious. Prayers requested for all of us. So blessed to be her Mom ❤
Kim, I am a cottage home baker. My specialty is royal icing decorated sugar cookies. You did an amazing job decorating those cookies! It does look easy! I decorated cookies for 2 straight years before feeling my decorating was good enough to sell my cookies. Most of us use a mini projector to project an image onto a cookie. Most of us don’t freehand. See, you did great!
My kids have the weekly clothing organizers. They helped A LOT when they were little. Now that they are older they don't need it as much, but we use them to store purses, shoes, and other accessories now.

Hey sweet friend! Aww this brought so many memories when I used to organize for back to school. It does get better when they get older lol. Those weekday organizers only worked for us when kids were really young. In the teenage years only one pair of pants will fit in one square lol. Great ideas for young moms! Well done! Great video. All my kids & grandkids are grown. Gone to college or business school etc. I don't need to do school supplies. But I used to like to do it for my kids, 4 of them. I mainly got them hot lunches. It was just easier it may have cost a little more! But buying all the foods & containers & water bottles that we never had! I worked swingshift, so it was nice that I could sleep in. The older ones helped the younger ones get breakfast unless I had to drive them. I didn't do it every day, just once in a while. The School weren't that far away! We had a code if anybody tried to pick them up. They were to ask if they knew our code. If not, then run like crazy! Never had to use it, thank goodness! You're a great Mom! The cookies look great & yummy. I love the toll house recipes! The time capsules will be so neat when they open them up next year! Thanks for sharing! ♥️😉🫂🦋🐾🍄✏️📓🧵🪡🧶🖌🎨🖼🌹✨️

I did the same thing with the thermos water bottles. We had TONS and you’re right, they are all different sizes and became the bane of my existence!! Threw them all away (donated them, actually-without the rubber spouts) and bought the kids ONE bottle. A Yeti. Has worked amazingly for this mama of 6! Good luck this year. I love it when students' parents and school administrators are so understanding about food allergies. As a Mom of two kiddos with peanut allergies I lost so much sleep when they were little worrying about them in their school setting. My kids are adults now, but when they were growing up, school districts were not as understanding. I personally say thank you so much to all students' parents whose students do not have food allergies. Thank you for being understanding.
I like Lauren too. I used to watch more of her videos but I’ll never compare myself to her because I don’t have chickens, a garden, two nannies, etc. I also don’t put up 12 Christmas trees but it’s fun watching her do it.
I love the Jar idea. I work at a state park and have homeschoolers come out in Aug. when school starts. My first lesson this year is Wildflowers. This is a great idea to do for an activity. I can have the moms take the jars home and we can open it next August. I love it! Thank you!!
On my last days of secondary school (age 11-16) our form tutor gave all the class back a questionnaire we had filled in 5 years before on our first day of secondary school. Was so interesting to see what we had answered back then. Most of us didn’t remember doing the questionnaire. I put it in my memory box.

I got "oh the places you'll go" and have asked every teacher they've had since then to write a little something in it for them, and take a photo together. When they graduate high school, it will be like a yearbook that spans their entire 18yrs of education. I may put the pictures in a separate album, I've got 13yrs to figure it out lol

My summer this year was so amazing I'm really not looking forward to... Next week! I feel like I'm going back to school! But it's been amazing, My kids had the most fun and gained a lot in maturity. My son is entering middle school... and I'm terrified! School supplies will be fun though. I'm definitely doing To Do lists, they worked for Summer so let's keep it up!
My kids are teenagers now. But when they were little I threw away all the socks and water bottles lol I bought all of the same socks and water bottles 🎉 Game Changer! It’s the little things 😂
That or they would straight up throw it in the trash. I'd rather they trade bc at least SOMEONE is eating it, but i'vve heard and seen kids tossing the healthy options in the trash

When I was a kid 100 yrs ago my brother washed the dishes and I wiped them my brilliant mom had me arranged the cupboards ( see your kids standing on counters all the time). so I knew where everything went my mom learned my method and all of us could find things in a heart beat and cupboards were always neat. Give it thought
I came back on here to write about my experience of rock painting I got all the equipment and envisioned unique rocks that I could leave around the neighbourhood . No the childrens rocks were by far a higher painting level than mine . I had to just admit that for me my forte wasn’t rock painting . I know I have many other talents I know you have many other talents . Sometimes with hours and hours of practise you might get better but this was not something I wanted to dedicate my life too! You have many talents Kim spend your time wisely your amazing !
